Just a little over a week ago we got our very first look at Dannii Minogue and babydaddy Kris Smith‘s newborn baby boy Ethan Edward … today we get to check out a new pic of the little lad as shared by his father on his official Twitter account. Additionally, Dannii has already recovered enough so that she can take her precious baby boy out and about in public. Here are photos of the proud parents enjoying some time outside of the home for the first time since the birth of their baby boy:

New mother Dannii Minogue ventured out for her first family day out with newborn son Ethan in Australia yesterday. Together with her partner Kris Smith, the couple shopped up a storm at a Melbourne branch of Mothercare so the 13-day-old tot could look super trendy in preparation to meet his Auntie Kylie. Dannii’s older sister Kylie touched down at Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport at 5am on Monday morning and looked excited to be meeting her new nephew. Proud dad Smith, 32, posted an adorable photo of baby Ethan sleeping peacefully in his pram, as well as another image of smiling Dannii with his pram in Mothercare. Writing on his Twitter, former rugby league player Smith enthused: ‘First day out for the whole family, Dannii running up a storm in Mothercare. / Sleeping peacefully, Ethan was amazing as always today… Such a good boy just like his dad ;-).’ When asked by a Twitter follower if she had bought the whole baby section in Mothercare, Dannii replied: ‘We both went nuts.’ The former Home & Away star, 38, also proclaimed she had ‘of course’ bought baby-sized UGGs boots for her son to wear, as it is currently winter in Australia. Kylie, 42, looked chirpy as she arrived in Melbourne at 5am local time this morning, despite her long-haul flight. She wrote on her Twitter: ‘Whooooppp…I am H*O*M*E in Australia!!!!!!! :)’ The former Neighbours star missed out on Ethan’s birth because she was promoting her new album Aphrodite, which went to number one in the UK album charts. But she celebrated the new addition to the Minogue family, writing on her Twitter page: ‘Congratulations to my little sister, Dannii and Kris on their beautiful baby boy, Ethan. He is gorgeous.’

Awww … you can tell that this newly expanded family is just over the moon with happiness. I couldn’t be more thrilled for Dannii and Kris. On Wednesday we learned the happy news that Kylie Minogue‘s younger sister Dannii Minogue gave birth to her first child this past Monday in Melbourne, Australia. Today we get our FIRST LOOK at the newborn baby boy, Ethan Edward, in a couple photos that have been shared with the world on Twitter. Congratulations and love goes out to Aussie darling Dannii Minogue (younger sister of Kylie Minogue) because it is being reported today that she gave birth to her first child this past Monday July 5. According to the just released reports, Dannii and babydaddy Kris Smith had a baby boy whom they named Ethan Edward:

The 38-year-old X-Factor judge and her partner, Kris Smith, had a son named Ethan Edward Smith on Monday. The couple were said to be ”thrilled” with the new arrival. Minogue’s spokesman Simon Jones said: ”Kris Smith and Dannii Minogue are thrilled to announce the arrival of Ethan Edward Smith on 5th July 2010. Mother and baby are doing well and Dad is very proud. They request their privacy at this special time to adjust as new parents.” The baby boy is Minogue’s first child and, according to reports, the baby was born in Melbourne … The singer’s elder sister, Kylie, who has been busy promoting her new album Aphrodite, is reported to be flying over to welcome her new nephew in the near future. Minogue’s pregnancy has meant she has been forced to miss the recent X-Factor auditions, with stand-ins including Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger. Shortly before giving birth, the star wrote on Twitter that she was pining to see the X-Factor judges. She Tweeted: “Looking forward to catching up on XFactor auditions. Can’t wait to see Simon, Cheryl and Louis again soon – miss them very much. Dx.”

I follow Dannii on Twitter and it didn’t even occur to me that she hasn’t posted any new tweets in days after this last tweet about X Factor. The sneaky little lady was off birthin’ her baby in Melbourne. I am so happy for her … ever since we got official confirmation in January that she was pregs I’ve been counting down the days to the big day. Much love and many congrats goes out to Dannii and Kris on the birth of little Ethan. I imagine he is the cutest little doll. I can’t wait until we get to see him! Woot!

Dannii‘s been keepin’ bizzy lately trying to get as much work done as possible before she has to slow down and actually birth her baby. It’s cool that she’s able to stay as active as possible with Kris by her side to help whenever she needs him. I think they are going to make fantastic parents … and I’m still holding out for a July 12 birth date. Make it happen little bump, I know you can do it.

The 38-year-old star is currently in the middle of judging the fourth series of the show, a spin-off of the original British version. The new series will keep her busy until the final at the end of April, before she will have two months off to prepare for the birth of her baby in early July. Minogue, who has been on Australia’s Got Talent since the beginning, is the only judge to return this year … Since arriving in Australia a few weeks ago, Minogue has signed a deal for department store chain David Jones to sell her new collection. The mother-to-be enthused: ‘I am bursting with a lifetime of excitement for the launch of Project D in Australia. Fashion has been a passion of mine since I can remember and I hope that every woman who slips on a Project D dress will feel glamorous, yet effortless.’ Minogue’s pregnancy means she will miss the initial auditions of the new series of The X Factor, but she is hoping to return in time for the live shows in September.

After twittering last week she was ‘so excited to be a Marks and Spencer girl’, it’s no surprise Dannii Minogue was all smiles on the set of her first campaign shoot for the high street giant. Looking calm and contented, the 38-year-old X Factor judge and former popstar strolled beside the water in Cape Town with fellow M&S new face Lisa Snowdon. The 39-year-old Capital Radio presenter appeared distracted while soon-to-be mum Minogue patted her bump and enjoyed the sunshine. Wearing a royal blue shift dress and red lipstick, the younger sister of chart-topper Kylie seemed to slipped into her new role with ease. This is just one of several high-profile projects the star has signed up for before giving birth to she and boyfriend Kris Smith’s child in July. Minogue has also reportedly signed a deal with ITV2 to film a £200,000 six-part reality television show and has designed a range of dresses with handbag designer Tabitha Somerset Webb. Joining Minogue and Snowdon as part of the retailer’s next campaign are singer VV Brown and Brazilian supermodel Ana Beatriz Barros. As co-stars on the X Factor their relationship has been marred by rumours of rivalry and mutual dislike. But there is nothing like a baby to heal old wounds and it seems Dannii Minogue’s newly announced pregnancy has brought her and Cheryl Cole together. Cheryl stroked Dannii’s three-month bump as the grinning pair embraced in the audience at the National Television Awards at the O2 Arena. They were celebrating the X Factor’s triumph as Most Popular Talent Show. The two celebrated with Simon Cowell, who arrived with not one but two of his former girlfriends, as the show scooped the most competitive of the gongs. Cowell appeared delighted as he accepted the award from former Strictly Come Dancing judge Arlene Phillips. And he was quick to point out that Strictly had taken the award last year – before Arlene lost her job as judge. Cowell then confounded his fellow judges by dedicating the award to his dentist. It was Dannii’s first public engagement since she announced her pregnancy. I am gonna love this Bump Watch! I’m so happy that Dannii was happy to attend the NTAs not only to bask in X-Factor‘s win but to bask in her own pregnancy news. I’m sure she didn’t mind showing off her hawt babydaddy either, lawdy! It will depend on when the next season of X-Factor begins filming but I would not be surprised at all if Dannii got edged out of the show due her to pregnancy needs. Last Wednesday we learned the happy news that Aussie popstar and X Factor judge Dannii Minogue and model/hottie Kris Smith are pregs with their first baby and a day later we saw the first photo of the pair out and about (emerging from a doctor visit in Melbourne, Australia) since their happy news broke. According to Dannii‘s official Twitter profile, the couple made their way to Dubai over the weekend and just made their way to London, England last night with tiny little baby bump in tow:

Aww … Dannii is still very early in her pregnancy so it’s hard to see her bump at all (especially under all that bundled up clothing) but I’ve got my eye on her and will be watching as her bump grows over the coming months. I’m just so happy for her and Kris, I can’t help myself. The world really needs a new Minogue baby right now :)
