Last month Life & Style magazine broke the news that Danielle Staub, the most controversial castmember of the hit Bravo TV series The Real Housewives of New Jersey, had been fired from the show and would NOT be appearing in any future seasons of the show. Today we learn officially that Staub has, indeed, been fired from the show. Bravo aired part 2 of the reunion special for The Real Housewives of New Jersey, which was Danielle‘s final appearance on the show. On her way out, Danielle hugged and handshaked (handshook?) with her fellow RHONJ castmembers in an apparent show of friendship … which you can see from these photos:

Bravo is cleaning house. The network announced Monday that Danielle Staub, the firestarter on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” would not be returning to the show. Throughout the tumultuous second season, Staub enraged Caroline Manzo, her sister-in-law Jacqueline Laurita and family friend Teresa Giudice, though Staub seemed to make amends at the end of Monday’s reunion episode. “The reunion was Danielle’s last appearance on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” said Andy Cohen, Bravo’s senior vice president of original programming and development who also hosts “The Real Housewives” reunion shows. “We thought the hugs were a great way to end two seasons of bitterness between the women.” … While several women are moving on from the 4-year-old franchise, an entirely new group of “Real Housewives” in Beverly Hills are preparing for their close-up , debuting Oct. 14. Cohen promised a return to over-the-top opulence and a family dynamic similar to the New Jersey series with a pair sisters who happen to be connected to the Hilton family. The Beverly Hills cast includes: Adrienne Maloof, whose family owns the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas; Camille Grammer, ex-wife of “Frasier” star Kelsey Grammer; Lisa Vanderpump, a transplanted British restaurateur; Taylor Armstrong, wife of venture capitalist Russell Armstrong and Kim and Kyle Richards, former child stars and aunts of Paris Hilton. “There’s big, big, big drama and big, big, big tension,” said Cohen. “They all live near each other, and it’s amazing. You’ll see what it means to be someone’s neighbor in Beverly Hills. You have to walk a mile to get to your next door neighbor’s house. Adrienne and Lisa live across the street from each other. I’ve never seen wealth on that scale.” Bravo is constantly searching for new cast members, both in existing and potential locales, according to Cohen. That means interviewing and filming test footage of possible “Real Housewives” with their friends and families. Cohen said the network has attempted to wrangle a Texas edition for the past two years but “never hit it” with the right group of women.

And that, my dear friends, is that … no more Danielle. Personally, this decision to cut her out of the show makes no sense to me. The whole dynamic of RHONY is all the ladies vs. Danielle … without Danielle, what is left for the other castmembers to do? Do I really want to watch the bankrupt Teresa shop? Do I really want to watch Jacqueline fight with her bratty daughter Ashley? Do I really want to watch Caroline smother and baby her grown children? No, to all of those questions. It’s starting to feel like the Real Housewives franchise is losing it’s luster … not only is Danielle leaving RHONJ but Bethenny Frankel is leaving The Real Housewives of NYC, Lisa Wu Hartwell is leaving The Real Housewives of Atlanta and crazy Lynne Curtain is leaving The Real Housewives of Orange County. The franchise will debut The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills this Fall … further saturating reality TV with more old rich women dying to be famous. Meh. Danielle Staub may have been a bit loony but she was entertaining and truly made RHONJ worth watching … without her, I’m not sure it’s worth tuning in anymore.

Life & Style magazine is reporting today that controversial castmember Danielle Staub has been fired from the Bravo reality TV series The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Citing an “insider”, Life & Style claims that Staub as not been asked to return to the show for the 3rd season … and that she was “shocked” to learn she had been canned. Here are the deets as reported by L&S mag:

Life & Style has exclusively learned that controversial Jersey girl Danielle Staub has not been asked to return for season three of the hit Bravo show The Real Housewives of New Jersey. “Danielle was told that she would not be returning for a third season,” an insider reveals to Life & Style. In fact, Danielle’s finding out she was fired “came as a complete shock, and she thought she was definitely going to return to the successful Bravo series,” the insider continues. Danielle is not only known for her vicious catfights on-screen but also for her sex tape scandal, prostitution allegations, link to drugs and legal battles with other cast mates. The insider reveals that Danielle is currently trying to generate interest in a spin-off reality series about her life. Danielle told Life & Style at her birthday party on Aug. 10 in NYC, “I don’t know if there are talks right now about a third season of the show, but I’m more excited about talks of my spin-off than anything else.” A rep for the Bravo network tells Life & Style, “Bravo does not comment on casting of upcoming seasons of Housewives while current seasons are still airing.” Danielle’s booking agent had “no comment” on Danielle’s status on the show.

On the one hand, I can see how this report might be true … but it kinda doesn’t make any sense to get rid of Danielle … mainly because she is the ONLY point of contention on the entire show. If Danielle isn’t on the show, what the hell are the other BFF housewives gonna do? All of the other housewives are related, so there’ll be no drama there. It sounds like if Danielle is out then new housewives will be introduced … and then fake drama will have to be stirred up to keep things interesting. Like it or not, I think Danielle is a very important part of the show … without her, The Real Housewives of New Jersey isn’t worth watching. We shall see if Danielle has truly been fired but if so, I think it’d be a huge mistake on Bravo‘s part.

Last night on the Bravo TV show Watch What Happens Live, The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Danielle Staub performed LIVE a new single titled Real Close and managed to actually impress the hell out of me. Now, it wasn’t the best live performance I’ve never heard but the fact that Danielle not only sang live (a feat not accomplished by any of the other Housewives stars who are peddling their own songs) but sang fairly well. Danielle dueted with “lesbian superstar” singer Lori Michaels and, well, you’ll just have to hear it to believe it:

First came “Tardy for the Party.” Then came “Money Can’t Buy You Class.” And now there’s “Real Close,” the first song from Danielle Staub — and the third single originating from a Real Housewives star. Unlike Atlanta‘s Kim Zolciak and New York City‘s Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, the New Jersey star skipped the kicky dance track in favor of a more melodic tune. Calling the love song a “tortured lullaby” before debuting it on Watch What Happens Live Monday night, the reality star sat down at an electric piano next to songwriter Lori Michaels, who composed the ballad, played the piano and even shared vocals with Staub. As the song ended, Staub leaned in for what looked like was going to be a kiss. How did the performers fare? After the final notes faded away, host Andy Cohen described the performance as “really big,” then invited the ladies to join him for a (very) brief chat. Noting their apparent musical chemistry, he asked if the women were more than just duet partners. But Staub wouldn’t say. Instead, she said they got close writing and performing the song. Added Staub: “Were you tortured?”

OK, putting aside the obviously fake lesbian romantic tension Danielle and Lori tried to pull on camera, I think Danielle did a great job with this performance. Considering how low the bar has been set by the other singing Housewives, I wasn’t expecting much from Danielle‘s performance last night but … she did impress me. No, it’s not like I’ll run out and buy any of her music but she deffo has won my respect as the best singer of the Housewives ilk … now that is quite an accomplishment.

She has been showing her true, crazy colors this season on the show and I cannot in good conscious endorse anything that she does. Nothing about the release of this sex tape is at all surprising to me. On the contrary, it’s horrifying. Wooo, lawdy! We’ve got a lot of fun stuff to get into about the insanely tacky yet deliciously entertaining castmembers of Bravo TV‘s Real Housewives series. First, you may recall that last week we learned that it was reported that Teresa Giudice, who stars on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and her family are $11+ million dollars in debt despite the lavish lifestyle they purport to enjoy on the reality TV show. Today we learn that the Giudice family has been forced to file for bankruptcy because they are B-R-O-K-E:

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice is breaking her silence after it was discovered that she and her husband Joe filed for bankruptcy. “While this is a personal matter, I realize that certain aspects of my private life will always be subject to scrutiny and distortion,” Giudice says in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE. “What is true is that due to the economy, most of my husband’s real estate ventures failed despite his hard work and effort. As a result, we looked to the Bankruptcy Court for a ‘fresh start.’” Indeed court papers filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Newark, N.J., show that Giudice, 38, and her husband filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, which requires liquidation of assets in order to pay creditors, in October of last year. Papers also show that the couple had to undergo credit counseling, and were awarded a temporary stay on payments for their Cadillac Escalade and mortgage payments for properties. In the documents filed, the pair declared their personal assets, which include real property and personal property, as $2,261,150. But their liabilities — $8,709,831.34 — far exceeded that number. In addition, the couple had to assess their monthly income. Combining Joe’s salary as owner of G&G Stucco and Stone Specialist in Clifton, N.J., with Teresa’s income from Bravo and “monthly assistance from family members,” that number totaled $16,583.33. Their expenditures, including their mortgage, food, clothing, dry cleaning, health insurance and other expenses, total $16,582. The couple owes more than $33,000 on various store credit cards, $85,000 for home repairs and $91,000 for materials used to build their new home. During the first season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Giudice, who famously flipped a table on the show, and her family moved into their $1.7 million mansion in Towaco, N.J. The reality star, who was often filmed treating her daughters to new clothing and expensive toys, was also depicted flashing stacks of cash while furnishing the house. And in a recent episode on the second season, she boasted of spending significant funds on her daughter Gia‘s spa birthday party. “When people fall, the way to success is to get up and learn from our mistakes,” Giudice says. “We are in that process.”

Dang … when hypocrites fall, they fall hard. If you watch the show (and you should, it’s a crazy freakfest each and every week) you had to know that this pitiful family was living way beyond their means. Considering how disgustingly flippant Guidice enjoys flaunting her “wealth” on the show, it just seems karmically right that she get slapped down hard in the real world for her outrageously irresponsible behavior. Guidice recently gave birth to her 4th child and never seemed to care about planning financially for her children’s future. Hopefully this will serve as a lesson.

In other Real Housewives of New Jersey news, castmember Danielle Staub is allegedly about to make her sex tape debut! Referred to as a “prostitution whore” by her fellow castmates, Staub (née Beverly Ann Merrill) is reportedly featured in a 75 minute sex tape that TMZ reports is about to be released by Hustler Inc.:

Another “celebrity” sex tape is about to hit the market — and this time, the people distributing the footage claim the star is Danielle Staub from “Real Housewives of New Jersey.” Hustler Inc. tells us it is all set to distribute a 75 minute tape, featuring Jersey’s most hated Housewife — and mother of two — in a naked romp with a mystery man. A rep from Hustler tells us the tape was shot last September — several months after 47-year old Staub first appeared on the Bravo reality show. The tape is set to be released on June 14. A rep for Staub had no comment on the story.

Yikes! I cannot think of a thing I’d MOST never, ever want to see in my life. Previews for next week’s ep of The Real Housewives of New Jersey hint of the discussion of Staub‘s sex tape so it sounds like — like it or not — the tape is on the way.

Last night 3 of the lamest reality TV stars to ever disgrace television screens in this country met up and partied together at an event in NYC last night that was so epic in tragedy it almost sucked our plane of existence into oblivion. Here is a group shot of Angelina Jolie Pivarnick (who was ejected from the MTV series Jersey Shore after only 3 eps), Danielle Staub (who stars on the Bravo TV series The Real Housewives of New Jersey) and Dina Lohan (who starred on the E! series Living Lohan) nearly destroying our universe with their mere existence:

“Jersey Shore” star Angelina Pivarnick and “Real Housewives of New Jersey” vixen Danielle Staub crossed paths at a launch party at a Manhattan nightclub Tuesday night, possibly creating a temporal paradox so massive that it could have easily wiped out the Outer Boroughs, and possibly reality television programming altogether. What, you don’t remember that landmark time travel documentary, “Back to the Future, Part II”?

Doc Brown: “Great Scott! Jennifer could conceivably encounter her future self! The consequences of that could be disastrous!

Marty: Doc, what do you mean?

Doc Brown: I foresee two possibilities. One, coming face to face with herself 30 years older would put her into shock and she would simply pass out. Or two, the encounter could create a time paradox, the results of which could start a chain reaction that would unravel the very fabric of the space time continuum, and destroy the entire universe! Granted, that’s a worst-case scenario. The destruction might in fact be very localized, limited to our own galaxy.

Pivarnick, Staub and Lindsay Lohan’s mom Dina Lohan, herself a reality show star, posed for a photo together. The agenda for the summit was not available, but we wouldn’t be surprised if breakout sessions included “Self-Tanner: Can One Ever Be Too Orange?” and “Legal Strategies for Sex Tape Participants.”

Ye gods … this is downright scary, y’all. Of all the reality TV “stars” that could’ve aligned in the same place, what are the chances that these dregs scraped from the bottom of the barrel happened to be in the same place at the same time. In all honestly, Danielle isn’t even all that tragic all by herself … but sandwiched between Angelina and Dina? The woman is DOOMED! Yeesh … the mere in-person sight of these 3 all together last night would’ve driven me screaming from the venue. Do try to NOT stare directly into their vapid eyes … you’re likely to turn to stone. EEP!

Bravo TV has finally revealed the cast of their new group of Real Housewives by releasing the first promo photo and the first bit of info about the ladies who will star in the networks new series The Real Housewives of New Jersey. After many successful seasons of The Real Housewives of Orange County and successful seasons each of The Real Housewives of New York City (which is currently airing in its second season) and The Real Housewives of Atlanta (NeNe Leaks FTW!), I suppose it’s high time to take the domestic real-life drama to Jersey. Here is our first look at the NJ Housewives:

Get ready for The Real Housewives of New Jersey! The newest cast of Housewives is close-knit and includes friends, a pair of sisters — who married brothers! — and their sister-in-law. The show is set to premiere May 12 (11 p.m. ET) on Bravo. From left to right, the women of The Real Housewives of New Jersey are …

Jacqueline Laurita: A former cosmetologist, she is now a stay-at-home mom, but still loves to pamper herself. She has a teenage daughter from her previous marriage and a 6-year-old son with her husband Chris, who owns wholesale apparel businesses and is brother to Caroline and Dina.

Teresa Giudice: Born and raised in New Jersey, her husband Joe owns a successful construction company. Together they have three young daughters, who take up much of her time. A friend of Dina and Caroline, she also loves to shop, get spa treatments and spend time at her beach house on the Jersey Shore.

Danielle Staub: “You either love me or you hate me, there is no in between,” says the single mom of two daughters. She prides herself as one of the first female American Express Black card members in New Jersey. She is also active in her local parish and regularly attends mass. She and Jacqueline are friends.

Dina Manzo: Founder of the nonprofit Project Ladybug, which helps children with cancer, she’s also an interior designer, an event planner, mother and best friends with her sister Caroline. Her husband Albert works with his brother (Caroline’s husband) at their family’s catering business.

Caroline Manzo: She’s a mother of three and own a real estate firm and a line of children’s accessories. Described as a “feisty spitfire,” she’s Dina’s sister and is on the board of Project Ladybug. She’s married to Albert Manzo, brother of Dina’s husband Tommy. Dina and Caroline’s brother is Jacqueline’s husband Chris.

Oh gawd, I love that one of them is a former cosmetologist … perfect! I have to say that while I am very excited for a new group of Housewives, I’m bummed that the Atlanta ladies’ next season won’t come until after the NJ ladies finish their season. I was hoping that the drama would move to Atlanta at the end of the current NYC season and that the NJ season would come after that. I know it’s terrible but I cannot get enough of these shows. The Atlanta women are my faves, followed by the NYC women. I really loathe everything about the OC ladies. Those “ladies” really represent the worst parts of people … which, of course, is why the show has been on for so many seasons (with the promise of at least one more season to come). I am really hoping that the NJ crew manage to “keep it real”. I want long fingernails, big hair and thick Jersey accents (by the looks of the dresses the ladies are wearing in their first promo pic, I don’t think we’ll be disappointed). The show looks fun … I’ll deffo be tuning in. Traditionally, the OC Housewives are photographed holding out ripe oranges. The NYC Housewives are photographed holding out delicious red apples. The Atlanta Housewives are photographed holding out plump peaches. What do you suppose the NJ Housewives will be photographed holding? Does NJ have an official fruit?
