Courtney Love Poses For Hedi Slimane

The Bride of Nicotine
Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

Yesterday morning we got to see a bunch of black & white photos of Lindsay Lohan taken by photographer Hedi Slimane … and today we get to see more of Slimane’s work. Courtney Love is another of Hedi’s celebrity subjects who prefers to be photographed with cigarette in hand — she also has no problem showing off her exposed breasts in her photoshoot as well. Here are a few photos of C. Love that were taken by Hedi Slimane:

These photos are very similar to the photos of Lindsay that we saw yesterday, tho Courtney doesn’t appear as frightfully skinny as Lindsay does. Just as Lindsay showed off some exposed nipple in her photos, Courtney does her one better … fully exposed breasts. Hey, it’s art, people. After the jump, check out a few more photos of C. Love shot by Hedi Slimane, including a few very NSFW uncensored photos …

Courtney Love Is The Queen Of Crazy

And she's got the crown to prove it
Thursday, February 12th, 2009

Earlier this week, Elle magazine handed out the Elle Style Awards in London and decided to bestow their Woman of the Year Award on the ever-entertaining Courtney Love … whose sense of style knows no limits, no bounds. It turns out that Courtney is still in London terrorizing enjoying the best that London has to offer and was spotted out on the town wearing a very regal-looking ensemble:

Obviously, C. Love was hellbent on upholding her title as Elle Style Woman of the Year. Way to rep your new title, girl. Also, way to totally discount any sense of respectability that the Elle Style Awards ever had or thought they had.

It must be said, tho, that the purple is a very nice color for Courtney. But the clown make-up has got to go. I expect an $8 billion dollar class action lawsuit on behalf of offended Gypsies everywhere should be next on the horizon.

The 2009 Elle Style Awards Are Handed Out

Not even torrential downpour could spoil the party
Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

The Elle magazine Style Awards were handed out at Big Sky London in London, England last night where Freida Pinto of Slumdog Millionaire was awarded the prize for Best Actress, Mickey Rourke of The Wrestler took home the prize for Best Actor and — get this — Courtney Love was named Woman of the Year. Yep. For reals. Here are a few photos of some of the red carpet arrivals along with some info on the affair last night:

Another torrential downpour; another awards night. BAFTA stars and celebrities braved lashing rain, ankle-deep puddles and a bone-chilling wind for the Elle Style Awards at Big Sky Studios in North London last night. Minders with brollies and a canopy hastily erected outside the main door provided a brief respite as the girls in their gowns shook the raindrops from their hair. Freida Pinto, still elated after Slumdog Millionaire’s success the previous night, and recipient of Elle’s Best Actress award, wore a funky Chanel short dress with a transparent PVC yoke embellished with silk camellias. Alexa Chung, the host for the evening and winner of the Best TV Star, was also in Chanel, looking extremely sophisticated in a teal-blue, short, fitted backless dress, accessorised with a gigantic cocktail ring by Mawi, and a new upswept hairdo. “I don’t look too mumsy, do I,” she worried. No way, Alexa. Courtney Love, who was named Woman of the Year, entertained the camera crews with impersonations of Joan Crawford and Bette Davis. Her ‘Cruella de Vil’ black fishtail gown, worn with a little shrug encrusted with jet and black sequins, was by Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy. Roisin Murphy also played the Givenchy card, teaming her mirror-beaded top with a pair of Armand Basi grey harem pants … Mickey Rourke arrived just in time to pick up his Best Actor award and gorgeous Sienna Miller, who received the Style Icon award, made a discreet entrance, which almost fooled the photographers. She’s looking forward to the catwalk debut of Twenty8Twelve, the label she jointly runs and designs with her sister, Savannah, a Central Saint Martins graduate, and which is one of the hottest tickets for the forthcoming London Fashion Week, starting on Friday February 19th. Also joining in the Best-Dressed fun were Rolf Snoeren and Viktor Horsting, recipients of the H&M Style Visionary trophy, who dazzled in black DJs with lapels encrusted with jewels, beads and crystals, Matthew Williamson and Christopher Kane who was named best British Designer.

The Elle Style Awards are usually pretty spot on with their prizes (tho I question the wisdom of honoring Mickey Rourke for his “style” choices) … but I have absolutely NO IDEA how Courtney Love qualifies as Woman of the Year. If I recall, she only graced the mag’s pages once in the past year … and really hasn’t done anything professionally in years. Even in a ceremonial sense, awarding C. Love a prestigious award like this doesn’t make a whole lotta sense. At least, Court bothered to make the trip to the UK to collect her prize. Here are a couple pics of Courtney stumbling making her way out of the Elle Style Awards afterparty at Groucho Club early this morning:

I suppose she looks a’ight … even after a night of partying. As crazy as she seems, I do have a soft spot for Courtney Love. Sure her blogs are usually nothing more than meaningless nonsense but I am a fan of her music. I hope she still plans to release that album she was supposed to release on Jan. 1 … there’s been no news on when we might expect it, if at all. I guess we’ll have to see. In any event, Congrats goes out to Courtney and all the other award winners last night.

Courtney Love Blogs About Her New Hair Color

Back in black
Monday, February 2nd, 2009

Courtney Love updated her official blog on her My Space profile to show off her new hair ‘do. Unlike previous attempts on C. Love’s part to wax ecstatic about whatever the hell is going on in her mind at the time (which usually reads like a completely incomprehensible mess), this time around Court lets the photos do the talkin’ for her (much easier to understand) … tho, she does post one line of text …

do u like my new hair color?

Actually, I do. Black is a great look for her … coupled with her pale white skin, I think her hair looks nice. See, photos are much easier to understand than the mental diarrhea that spews from her fingers onto her My Space blog … tho, they’re not quite as entertaining to poke fun at. Ah well. Court posted another photo showing off her new ‘do in this post as well:

The make-up is a bit drag-queenie but … I like the hair. Finally Courtney, we are in agreement. What do y’all think?

Courtney Love Does ‘Heeb’ Magazine

C. Love talks to the Jews about the Jews
Friday, January 16th, 2009

Courtney Love is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Heeb magazine, a matter that Page Six of The New York Post took notice of, and speaks very candidly to the magazine about things as varied as dating tips, parenting and … well … Jews:

Page Six went so far as to accuse of Courtney of being anti-Semitic in her coverstory, saying:

COURTNEY Love claims she’s not taking drugs anymore, but you wouldn’t know it from comments she made in the Jewish magazine Heeb. Love, whose mother is Jewish but who describes herself as Buddhist, says of ex-husband Kurt Cobain’s legacy: “Every time you buy a Nirvana record, part of that money is not going to Kurt’s child, or to me, it’s going to a handful of Jew loan officers, Jew private banks, it’s going to lawyers who are also bankers . . .” The former Hole singer also mused on why she’s given up playing in an all-girl band: “Like, there are [bleep]ing riot grrls sitting there banging on pots and pans and talking about their vaginas, and that’s all really lovely, but the music blows.” On why she won’t date actors: “They’re [bleep]. They’re women.” And on being a parent: “I’m more like, ‘You’re not going to do that, so [bleep] off, or I’m taking your computer, and your [bleep]ing, you know, BlackBerry.’”

Heeb magazine, in response, speaks up in her defense, saying:

Today, Page Six ran an item on our recent interview with Courtney Love and focused on her purported “anti-Semitic ravings.” The evidence? A line half-way through the 5,550 word piece … Page Six, to its credit, makes mention of the fact that Ms. Love also explores her Jewish heritage in the interview—to be sure, these are not “anti-Semitic ravings” of the Mel Gibson variety. Unfortunately, it seemed not to matter too much to the editors of Page Six that the remarks made by this woman of Jewish background were being made in the context of a Jewish conversation in a Jewish magazine. Like it or not—and over the seven years we’ve been publishing Heeb we’ve found that many do not, but the simple fact remains: This is how Jews talk to Jews.

Personally, I do not believe that Courtney is anti-Semitic … I just think she’s a bit crazy … I mean, only a crazy woman would venture out in public looking the way that C. Love did here in SoCal last night:

But hey, she’s just being Courtney. Click HERE to read Court’s Heeb interview in full so YOU can determine if she harbors any feelings of anti-Semitism. Again, I’m gonna stick with the she’s crazy excuse and just wait for her to write her next blogpost.

Yeah, and that new album of hers should be along any day now …

Saturday, January 10th, 2009

When last we heard from Courtney Love she wasn’t really speaking thru her My Space blog, she was using finger gestures to get her message across … but, in the past few days, C. Love has been very bizzy writing up new posts for her blog. Just this week alone, Courtney has blogged about things as varied as “tampons, tequila, toddlers and toadies”, to allegedly becoming muse to designer Riccardo Tisci, to her love for Kelly Ripa. As per usual, it’s all a bit difficult to sort thru but, we’re gonna do our best. Here are excerpts from Courtney’s most recent blogposts, as always all spelling and grammatical errors are her own:

Click HERE to see the mood board that Courtney sent to Tisci to help inspire his designs … honestly, it’s not terrible … but it is representative of what I believe is crammed inside her head. It’s scary but also pretty.

After the jump, check out Court’s latest missive that was posted earlier today about Kelly Ripa, or something to that effect …

Courtney Love Has A New Message For Fans

No blog required
Tuesday, January 6th, 2009

Another day, another missive from Courtney Love … BUT this time, C. Love ain’t gettin’ her message across by randomly throwing words around and publishing them online on her official My Space profile blog … this time she’s communicating in a much less complicated manner:

Yeah, it’s not as fun as reading her blog but it’s just as Courtney. Hey, where’s that new album you promised us, Court?
