Now that the debut season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is coming to an end it’ll soon be time to turn our attentions back to the East Coast for the return of The Real Housewives of NYC. On February 15, Bravo TV will premiere the 4th season of The Real Housewives of NYC … and because Bethenny Frankel has left show for a show of her own, a new housewife is being introduced in new promo photos and video from the new season.

Last night David and I met up with our good friends Ollie and Caleb to celebrate Ollie’s birthday at dinner downtown at Bottega Louie. It was our first visit to the eatery and we were really impressed … the food, the drink, the desserts … all amazing! Here is a cute tiny Polaroid photo of me with the beautiful birthday girl and a Polaroid of Ols, Caleb and David posing with their delish macaroons:

While we were eating, I noticed a woman waving at me asking me from across the room for a photo … it took me a couple of seconds until I realized that it was the Countess LuAnn de Lesseps from The Real Housewives of NYC. Naturally, I ran over to snap the pic — check it out, after the jump …

Last year the world was tortured by the release of the single and accompanying music video Tardy For the Party by Kim Zolciak from BravoTV‘s reality TV series The Real Housewives of Atlanta (well, maybe tortured is a bit harsh … the song is kinda catchy after all) and today our torture continues. The just divorced Countess LuAnn de Lesseps of The Real Housewives of NYC has just released her own single and music video for a track titled Money Can’t Buy You Class. Money may not be able to buy you class, as Countess LuAnn de Lesseps sings, but it can buy her a music video. Watch the just-released clip – and see the Real Housewives of New York City star transform from reality TV personality to disco diva. In the clip, which was shot in the Midtown Manhattan club Covet, de Lesseps is surrounded by a fleet of chiseled men. “When I made the song, I had dancing in Saint-Tropez in mind,” the Countess told PEOPLE when the song first hit the Web. “I’m putting myself out there knowing that I won’t always be perfect. And it’s scary, but it’s worth it. Let people talk about it.” As for the video, it wasn’t about fancy choreography or amazing dance moves. “There’s not really dancing,” she said. “I just have very good looking men standing around. And it’s about how money can’t buy you class, so I’m taking money out of their pockets and throwing it onto the floor.”

Unlike Tardy for the Party, this new track from the Countless is just terrible so there is no chance it’ll be even a marginal hit. Now the video … well, HMMMM. To her credit, LuAnn looks completely unrecognizable in the clip … so she’s got that going for her. Unfortch, the video — like the song — is a horrendous bore. Don’t believe me? Ruh-roh! Fans of The Real Housewives of New York City on Bravo TV might be surprised to learn today that the Countess LuAnn de Lesseps has decided to split with her Count hubby after she found out that he has taken up with an Ethiopian woman behind her back. You know, while watching the reality series on TV from week to week I always thought it was interesting that Count Alexandre de Lesseps was “away on biz” all of the time … and I guess now we know what kind of biz he was away doing. Sad but true, the Count and Countess de Lesseps are reportedly dunzo:

THE countess is now count-less. Friends of “The Real Housewives of New York City” star Countess Luann de Lesseps say the former model has split with Count de Lesseps. A close pal said, “They decided to separate. She got wind he was seeing somebody and he didn’t answer her when she called. He finally sent her an e-mail saying he was with an Ethiopian woman in Geneva and he was serious with her.” The revelation came as a shock to the countess, who celebrated her 16th anniversary with her husband on March 16. “Luann was blindsided. She was just devastated,” the close friend told Page Six. “They have basically lived apart for many years — he lives in Europe and comes and goes as he pleases, but she never thought this would happen. “It has been very rough for her and the children [Victoria and Noel], but she’s taking the high road and will remain friends with him,” the source added. “She has no intention of making it bitter or becoming angry. She’s just trying to come to terms with [the separation and impending divorce]. She feels this is the ultimate test for her to handle this with dignity and grace.” Luann — whose book, “Class With the Countess,” comes out next month — has told friends that, no matter what, “I will always be the countess.” A rep for Luann said, “It is obviously a very difficult time for the countess and count, but they plan to remain friends and their primary focus will be to do what is best for their two children.” Meanwhile, the rep adds that an unidentified man the countess was reported being seen with over the weekend is “just a friend — that’s it.”

If you can’t count on your Count to remain true to your wedding vows than who can you count on? I have to say, I’m not really that surprised to hear news of discord between the Count and Countess. As I said, I found it very suspicious that the Count was always away traipsing around the world doing “Count work” or whatever. What do Counts do, anyway? Apparently, they gallivant around the globe behind their wives backs while she’s occupied with her reality television program. I suspect that the couple will keep up appearances for the sake of the reality show (after all, everyone is watching). I cannot wait for the next season of The Real Housewives of New York City (even tho the current season is still airing). I’m very curious to hear what the other housewives have to say about this juicy bit of news. You know, from what I’ve seen of the Countess LuAnn de Lesseps on TV there ain’t much that I think anyone can learn from her to make themselves a better, classier person. Perhaps instead of worrying herself with trying to teach etiquette and class to the commoners, she should instead focus on taking care of things in her own home.
