Alex Meraz, Corey Monteith & Trevor Donovan Hang With Some Kids At The Pumpkin Patch

Actors and Op spokesmen Alex Meraz (from Twilight), Cory Monteith (from Glee) and Trevor Donovan (from 90210) made their way out to Shawn’s Pumpkin Patch in Culver City, CA to host the Op Halloween Treat For Kids event yesterday afternoon. The guys hung out with a select group of lucky kids from a local chapter of The Boys and Girls Club of America who were treated to face painting, pumpkin painting and general Hallowe’en fun … here are a few cute photos:

I know we’re used to seeing photos of famous families (like Heidi Klum and fam) and individual celeb parents (like Halle Berry and Christina Aguilera) taking their children to the pumpkin patch but I think these photos of these young men hanging out with the kids at the pumpkin patch are just too adorable. It looks like the kids featured here are all boys … which is even cuter. I didn’t grow up with a big brother in the house so I can appreciate how much it must’ve meant to these boys to have Alex, Cory and Trevor devote some of their time to hang out with them. What a fun event!

"This sounds really cliché, but ... it’s the high school experience I always wanted"
The Cast Of ‘Glee’ Does ‘GQ’ Magazine

Glee castmates Dianna Agron, Lea Michele and Cory Monteith are featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of GQ magazine. As you my recall, earlier today we got to see these 3 Glee actors in the full performance video of Time Warp from next week’s episode devoted to the music of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, but right now we get to see their racy new magazine spread in the new issue of GQ. Here is the Glee coverphoto and some excerpts from the coverstory article:

Glee, the sing-along comedy about high school theater geeks has quickly become the most popular show on television. Now, in it’s second season, the gay-positive, anti-stereotyping, song-and-dance TV sensation has spawned hit soundtrack albums, a sold-out concert tour, a Golden Globe award, and a passionate fan base of self-professed “Gleeks,” propelling the cast further into stardom with every episode. GQ’s Alex Pappademas sits down with stars Dianna Agron, Cory Monteith, and Lea Michele to discuss their relationships with their characters, cast mates, the racy GQ photo shoot, and the “no-trailer-sex” rule on set:

Lea Michele on people’s insisting she get a nose job:
“I was one of the only girls in my high school that didn’t get one. And if anybody needed it, I probably did. But my mom always told me, growing up, ‘Barbra Streisand didn’t get a nose job. You’re not getting a nose job.’ And I didn’t. Fuck those people. That’s why I’m proud to be on a positive show and to be a voice for girls and say, ‘You don’t need to look like everybody else. Love who you are.’”

…on why the camaraderie among the show’s cast needs to last:
“Someone from [another] television show came up to us at an event and said that and I got offended. Our show won’t still be running in season three if we’re not feeling that way, because then we won’t be real, and people will see it. So let’s hope that everything stays that way. Because I need this. I need this family!”

…on the GQ photo shoot for this story:
“I don’t know how they got me to do half the stuff I did. But I was in really good shape this summer, so…”

Dianna Agron on the shoot and rumors that she and Michele are real life lovers:
“When it was just Lea and me, I was like, ‘We’re in skimpy clothes, we’re up against each other. This is feeding those rumors.’ I’ve never been shot in so little clothing.”

…on being the pregnant Cheerleader on Glee:
“I remember Ryan saying, ‘You’re about to get pregnant.’ And I thought, ‘Bring it on.’ When they put the pregnancy pad under my cheerleading outfit, I was walking around the set, and people were like, ‘Only on Glee!’”

Cory Monteith on growing up in Canada and dropping out of high school:
“You have to really look to get into trouble in Victoria, but I was industrious. Skipping school. Drinking. All that kind of crap. Things started off innocent like that. I definitely found myself in some places that I’m very fortunate I came back from…. The last thing I want to do is kind of imply to readers in high school that you too can drop out and be an actor and get on a big show and be -famous and make a shitload of money.”

…on Ryan Murphy’s “no-trailer-sex” rule:
“The first I heard about that was in the media. I was like, ‘Oh, really? Dammit!”

…on what really goes on inside those trailer:
“They all, like, hang out. ‘This sounds really cliché, but it’s true—it’s the high school experience I always wanted. Where we’re all growing into this new life together and figuring it all out as we go. I remember I’d come home from fifth, sixth grade, and I’d watch Saved by the Bell and be like, ‘I hope my high school experience is like that.’ And it totally wasn’t. It sucked.’”

The rest of the online version of this coverstory article can be read HERE. After the jump, check out a batch of photos from the accompanying photospread. The photos were shot by photographer Terry Richardson and they are, as you can imagine, very Terry Richardson-esque …

"Elementary School Musical"
Another Look: ‘Glee’ Actors On ‘The Simpsons’

Last month we got to check out a few promo photos of Glee‘s Lea Michele, Amber Riley and Cory Monteith in animated form as they will appear on the upcoming season premiere episode of The Simpsons. Today we get to check out a different promo photo of the 3 Glee actors on The Simpsons but this time with smarty pants Lisa Simpson and a bit of info about the ep:

In a string of promotion for its Fall animations, FOX has given a little glimpse into the highly-anticipated “The Simpsons” episode. Lea Michele and Cory Monteith of “Glee” have been turned yellow for the animation and they literally sing praises to Lisa Simpson. In the September 26 episode, when Krusty the Clown is announced as the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, Homer invites Bart to accompany him on a trip to Oslo for the ceremony. Sensing that Lisa would feel left out, Marge surprises her with a week-long retreat at performing arts camp, where she is greeted by her artsy counselors and fellow musically inclined campers, who inspire her to embrace her creative side. After she returns to Springfield, Lisa becomes restless with her ho-hum suburban lifestyle and sneaks off to Sprooklyn in hopes of connecting with her inner hipster, but she soon realizes that the city is not the same as camp. Instead of portraying Finn like in the original series, Monteith is to play Flynn. Beside Michele and him, co-star Amber Riley is also going to be simpsonized. Together they would sing the reworded version of “Good Vibrations”. Meanwhile, Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement of Flight of the Conchords are guest starring as the counselors.

Er … okay, maybe this spoilery synopsis offers quite a lot of the ep’s plot but I think it all sounds super fun. Even tho I don’t talk about the show very often, The Simpsons is deffo one of my all-time fave TV shows. I know everyone’s all excited about the special eps of Glee that are planned for the coming season but I totally love that The Simpsons are planning to do a special ep of their own in tribute to Glee. Set those DVRs, y’all … this Glee ep of The Simpsons airs Sunday September 26.

First Look: ‘Glee’ Actors On ‘The Simpsons’

A few Glee actors will be guest starring on the season premiere episode of The Simpsons when the long-running animated series returns this Fall. Lea Michelle (Rachel), Amber Riley (Mercedes) and Cory Monteith (Finn) have all provided voicework for the series and right now we get our first look at these actors as they will appear on The Simpsons:

There’s a saying that you know you are famous when you’ve been turned yellow on “The Simpsons”. Some of “Glee” cast will exactly get this treatment when the Emmy-winning show returns this Fall on FOX. Several promo pictures have revealed which of the singing lots would be animated. Lea Michele’s Rachel Berry is one and Cory Monteith’s Finn is another. These two main characters will only be joined by their friend Amber Riley’s Mercedes. The actors behind the “Glee” characters have provided voice for the animated figures. The episode is called “Elementary School Musical” and it would be the first of season 22 which airs September 26. Marge sends Lisa to a performing arts camp where she gets hooked on her new, hip lifestyle. Once back in Springfield, all Lisa can think about is returning.

OMG … I love it! The new Fall season (which is only DAYS away) is really kicking off with a bang! We already know that Glee‘s second ep of the new season will be the Britney Spears ep and now we learn that the season premiere ep of The Simpsons will be the Glee ep. LOOOOOVE IT! After the jump, check out the new promo pics that show what Amber Riley‘s Mercedes and Cory Monteith‘s Finn look like in Simpsons animated form …

Find out which Britney Spears song Lea Michele will perform on the show
The Cast Of ‘Glee’ Film New Episodes For Season 2

New photos have surfaced from the SoCal set of Glee that show some of the principal actors — namely Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer and Amber Riley — dressed in costume for an upcoming episode of Glee season 2. From the look of these outfits, it appears the cast is dressed to film a rap song scene. Behold, Run Glee-MC:

Awwww yeah, they look fresh and dope, yo! Word. Yeah. Okay, these photos are cool … but Cory Monteith posted an image to his official Twitter profile that gives a HUGE spoiler for the upcoming Britney Spears episode of Glee. In the photo, Cory reveals which Britney song Lea Michele will perform on the show — and it’s a classic. If you want to be spoiled, check out the photo after the jump …

Summer Soirée
All-Star Celebs Come Out To Party With Fox

The brightest and best stars from the Fox family of TV shows made their way out to the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, CA last night to attend the Fox Fall All-Star Party 2010 … attendees included Glee‘s Lea Michele and Corey Monteith as well as “cocky” Bones star David Boreanaz, the always fabulous Aisha Tyler and more! Here are a few photos of these all-stars on the red carpet last night:

You know once the parties start to happen we aren’t that far away from the season premieres of these shows. This Summer has been so lackluster for me … it’s been really cold and gloomy here in LA all Summer long so it hasn’t even felt like a proper Summer. Now we’re already into August and Fall will be upon us in mere seconds … at least we have a whole new season of TV shows to look forward to! I hope these celebs get all the partying out of their systems so that they can get back to work on new TV for us to watch :)

You down with Op?
Celebs Team Up With Op For A Fun Fall Campaign

A fun bunch of young Hollywood “It” Girls/Guys including Glee‘s Dianna Agron & Cory Monteith, Gossip Girl‘s Jessica Szohr, 90210‘s Trevor Donovan and songstress Cassie have teamed up with Op to appear in a fun new Back to College ad campaign for the clothier … here is our first look at this new campaign:

I understand the national campaign photos were shot on the UCLA campus by photographer Larry Bartholomew and will hit magazines like Teen Vogue, Seventeen and Cosmopolitan this Fall. I ain’t gonna lie … I’ve been a fan of Op clothing since I was a kid. Living in SoCal, I like to spend as much time in shorts and t-shirts so I can totally dig the appeal. This campaign looks fun … especially considering it features so many of our fave TV actors. After the jump, check out some behind the scenes photos and video from the shoot …

The 2010 GLAAD Media Awards Are Handed Out In LA

Last month the 21st annual GLAAD Media Awards were handed out in a ceremony in NYC, NY and last night the second batch of awards — “recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community and the issues that affect their lives” — where handed out here in LA in a second ceremony at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel. American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert performed and artists like Wanda Sykes, Drew Barrymore won GLAAD Media Awards alongside TV shows like Glee and RuPaul’s Drag Race. Here are a few photos from the red carpet arrivals yesterday and some deets from last night’s affair:

The Fox musical comedy was among the winners at the 21st annual GLAAD Media Awards. The show’s cast and creator Ryan Murphy received the trophy for outstanding comedy series at Saturday’s glitzy ceremony at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza. Murphy, in particular, praised lesbian actress Jane Lynch and gay actor Chris Colfer for their contributions. “We have a great responsibility with the show,” Murphy beamed. Murphy told the crowd that Colfer’s character, outspoken gay soprano Kurt Hummel, would have a boyfriend next season, and the pair would become prom kings. Murphy also promised the crowd that Colfer’s character “would never be the victim.” “Iron Chef” Cat Cora presented actress-director Drew Barrymore with the Vanguard Award, which honors efforts to increase visibility and understanding of the gay community. In a humorous video before accepting her trophy, Barrymore listed several of her inspirational gay colleagues, including her agent, lawyer, doctor, stylists and one of her dogs. “The thing that means the most to me about an evening like this, and why I want to fight and be outspoken about this is because there are so many people who are in desperate need of families,” Barrymore said. Constance McMillen, the lesbian Mississippi teenager who challenged her school district’s ban of same-sex prom dates, presented comedian-actress Wanda Sykes with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award, which is given by the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation to an openly gay member of the entertainment community for their work toward eliminating homophobia. “I’m willing to give this award to you,” Sykes teased McMillen, “but I’m not gonna do it. It means a lot to me.” Other winners included Logo’s “RuPaul’s Drag Race” for outstanding reality program and “A Single Man” for outstanding wide release film. “A Single Man” director Tom Ford wasn’t on hand to receive his trophy. His partner Richard Buckley accepted the award on Ford’s behalf because the filmmaker was stranded in London thanks to the volcanic cloud of ash. Adam Lambert, the glam-rocking “American Idol” runner-up who raised eyebrows with his racy performance at last year’s American Music Awards, capped off the ceremony hosted by transgender actress Candis Cayne and gay actor Wilson Cruz with a performance of his tunes “Music Again” and “Fever.” He ended by pleading for diversity within the gay community. The awards salute fair, accurate and inclusive representation of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives in the media. Other winners — chosen from 152 nominees in 32 categories — were awarded at a March ceremony in New York, while the remainder will be presented at a San Francisco ceremony in June.

Yeah, I know the NYC ceremony last month was fab but LA always does this show better. What a fantastic turn-out for such an important awards show. After the jump, check out some of the winners on stage as they collected their GLAAD Media Awards last night …

‘Glee’ Holds Its Spring Premiere LA

Yesterday afternoon a few castmembers on the hit Fox TV series Glee made an appearance at a free premiere event that was held at The Grove outdoor shopping center here in Los Angeles, CA. In celebration of the return of ALL NEW EPISODES of Glee, Fox decided to preview the first new ep of the series, titled Hell-O, for the public here in LA last night. Here are a few photos of some of the Glee stars who came out for the event:

If you were lucky enough to be in attendance last night, then you would’ve been able to get the jump start on the rest of the country that has to wait until this coming Tuesday night to see the all new episode. As I mentioned earlier this week, I’ve been very fortunate enough to be able to preview the 3 new eps of Glee that will air in the coming weeks … and I’m really excited for all y’all to see what I’ve seen … but it sounds like last night’s event was really fun. Make sure you’ll be in front of your TVs Tuesday night to watch Glee‘s return … it will prepare you for the AMAZING episode to follow next week titled The Power of Madonna (ie. the Madonna episode). This week’s new ep will be a very nice taste of what’s to come … Gleeks, you’re gonna LOVE it!!

The ‘Glee’ Guys ‘Sing In The Rain’ For ‘Vanity Fair’ Magazine

Matthew Morrison, Cory Monteith, Mark Salling, Chris Colfer and Kevin McHale — the principal male stars of the hit Fox TV series Glee — were all on hand at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art to pose for a photospread in Vanity Fair magazine. The Glee guys were all dressed up in trench-coats and were wielding umbrellas around the LACMA‘s outdoor art installation Urban Light (which is basically a bunch of street lights grouped together in front of the museum) in an homage to the Gene Kelly classic Singing in the Rain:

Considering the weather we’ve been “enjoying” here in SoCal this week, it’s entirely possible that the guys were actually singing (and posing) in honest to goodness rain. No word on when these photos will be published in the pages of VF mag but I’ll be keepin’ an eye out. What a fun idea for a photoshoot, no?
