Redbook magazine may have scored Christina Aguilera‘s first interview post break-up with husband Jordan Bratman but British In Style magazine is the first to put Xtina on the cover of their mag now that she’s a newly single woman. Thus far, In Style has yet to update their official website with any other photos or info from Xtina‘s coverstory article so we don’t know if she discusses her pending divorce with Jordy in her interview or not. My guess is that this interview was likely done before news of her split broke so we may likely learn nothing new. To be honest, I’m not crazy about this photo … I hate the leopard print (tacky) and I’m not fond of the big braid (meh) so … let’s just hope the rest of the photos from her shoot turn out better ;)

Newly single Christina Aguilera was spotted in the company of the only man in her life right now, her son Max Liron, here in SoCal yesterday after she picked him up from the SLS Hotel. In the wake of Xtina‘s pending divorce from hubby Jordan Bratman, the couple have started exchanging custody of little Max at various locales, like hotels. Yesterday was Xtina‘s turn to have Max so she arranged to pick him up from his father at the SLS Hotel … and she looked fantastic doing so:

It’s unclear if Jordy is living at the SLS Hotel permanently now or if he is just staying there until he is able to figure out his permanent living situation but it seems pretty clear to me, Xtina and Jordy are no longer living under the same roof. As sad as any break-up is, it looks like Xtina is taking everything in stride … she looks great.

Christina Aguilera, who famously filed for divorce from her husband Jordan Bratman a couple of weeks ago, returned to the performance stage in Las Vegas, NV this weekend at a benefit concert which as held in conjunction with Justin Timberlake‘s annual Shriners Hospitals for Children Open golf tournament. Xtina first strutted her stuff on the red carpet before she went up on stage to perform her hit ballad Beautiful. Here are a few photos:

I understand Justin himself performed as did Sir Elton John and T-Pain … but I think the biggest name on that stage was Xtina Aguilera, particularly because of what’s been going on in her private life. As you can see in these photos, Xtina looked amazing … and she seemed very happy to be performing in front of an audience again. It’s been a little over a week now since we first heard that Christina Aguilera has split from her husband Jordan Bratman and it is exactly one week since she officially filed for divorce. Today, for the first time, we are hearing from Xtina herself about the split in a new interview that she gave to Redbook magazine:

The day after news of her separation from husband Jordan Bratman broke last week, Christina Aguilera, who will appear on the December cover of REDBOOK, spoke exclusively to the magazine about how she was coping with the split. “It’s not easy, and there have been a lot of tears and sadness,” she said. “It’s impossible to redefine yourself and your life overnight. Thankfully, I have my mom and a small group of close friends who are there for me 24/7 and whom I can trust and depend on. On days when it feels impossible to even get out of bed, much less function as a mother, their support and encouragement have kept me moving forward.” When asked about the details, rumors (of infidelity on both sides), and whether she and Jordan, whom she married in November 2005, had tried couples therapy to resolve their issues, Christina answered, “Out of respect for my husband, I prefer to keep the specifics private. Right now, I’m just trying to figure out how to make it through each day. Her focus during this rough, emotional time, she said, was her son, who turns three in January. “Thankfully, I have Max to keep me on a sane path. His needs and happiness are my top priorities, and my biggest concern is to protect him and make him feel safe.”

Now, you may recall that Xtina issued a public statement about the split early last week but that came from her publicist, these are Xtina‘s words on the matter. The December issue of Redbook magazine will feature Xtina on the cover and will go in more depth about her take on why her marriage fell apart. I wonder how long, if ever, it’ll take for us to hear from Jordy. My guess is that Xtina will run the show even as the couple’s divorce becomes final. Her side of the story may be the only one we get to hear for a very long time.

Last weekend we got our first look at the newly single Christina Aguilera in Hawaii enjoying a bit of a single lady holiday just moments after she filed for divorce from her husband Jordan Bratman last Thursday. Today we get to see new photos of Xtina in Hawaii lookin’ like she was having the time of her life … sans hubby:

She may have split from husband Jordan Bratman a week ago, but it seems Christina Aguilera is determined to remain in high spirits. The singer looked relaxed and happy – but hardly inconspicuous – in a printed halter-neck maxi dress and straw hat as she spent time in Hawaii. Christina was visiting the island for the Grand Opening of Waikiki Edition Hotel … earlier this week. Christina, 29, was pictured walking arm and arm with two mystery men , no doubt part of her extensive entourage, as they set sail on a sunset boat ride. The blonde is fresh off of filing for divorce but seems to be taking it well and is keeping herself busy.

It would appear that Xtina is really enjoying life, despite the fact that her marriage is over. As sad as these break-ups are, it really sounds like this is the right thing for her … and that she is the one in the driver’s seat in terms of who is calling the shots in this divorce. I mean, let’s be real, Xtina has always been the one calling the shots in her marriage … I wholeheartedly believe that what Xtina wants, Xtina gets. I just hope that everything works out in the best way possible for Xtina and Jordy‘s son Max. I also hope that Jordan doesn’t get screwed as the divorce moves forward … he always struck me as a nice guy who truly loved his wife. It’d be a shame if he gets crushed under wheels of Xtina‘s powerhouse legal team.

It’s been a week since we first learned that the marriage between Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman is dunzo and in that time rumors have been flying around over what was the cause of the split. One particularly popular rumor is that Xtina‘s marriage to Jordy couldn’t survive her alleged cheating … particularly with other women. Of course, none of those rumors have been confirmed … so it’s all pretty much hearsay. Today, a new report from the TMZ offshoot website TooFab is claiming that Xtina‘s close relationship (whatever that means) with Samantha Ronson is at least partly to blame for the divorce … because Jordan was jealous of Sam:

Following Christina Aguilera’s Oct. 14 divorce filing from music producer Jordan Bratman, 33, speculation has run rampant as to what led to the split. It seems that a major factor was the 29-year-old singer’s increasingly close, emotional friendship with deejay (and Lindsay Lohan’s ex) Samantha Ronson, 33, a source tells TooFab. “Christina’s been friends with Sam for a while, like they all went to Cabo in September with Nicole Richie, but they were hanging out a lot more in recent months, and they created a new posse of girls that Christina hung out with, so it started to be really frustrating for Jordan, that she had this relationship with these girls, but particularly this close one with Sam,” the source tells TooFab. “Jordan was feeling less than a man. It seemed like she was more interested in hanging out with Sam than him. This had been going on for several months.” As an aside, the source tells TooFab that Ronson’s ex, Lindsay Lohan, was also unnerved by her relationship with Aguilera, 29. “It caused a lot of problems with Lohan and Sam. Before [Lohan] went into rehab, she was really frustrated with her relationship with Sam because of the Aguilera thing. She was extremely jealous.”

I find it a bit puzzling that people are so quick to assume that something romantic is going on between Xtina and Sam just because they like to hang out. The implication is that just because Samantha is gay then every woman she hangs out with she must be sexually involved with? No. I’m not saying that there is nothing romantic going on between them, I’m just saying that the assumptions being made are totally ridiculous. In the end, whatever relationship Xtina has with Samantha is beside the point. Xtina and Jordy‘s relationship fell apart because of their own personal issues. Whether or not Xtina and Sam are good friends or goooood friends is nobody’s business but their own. And let’s remember, these rumors and reports are all based on nameless sources … all of it should be taken with a huge grain of salt.

On Tuesday, it was reported that Christina Aguilera and hubby Jordan Bratman were dunzo … On Thursday, Xtina filed for divorce from Jordy — making the dunzoness officially official. Shortly thereafter, Xtina boarded a plan and flew her ass to Hawaii to escape all the break-up drama here on the main land so that she would attend an event opening for the Waikiki Edition Hotel in Honolulu, HI last night:

Just days after announcing she’s split with her husband, Jordan Bratman, Christina Aguilera has jetted off to Hawaii for the opening of the ultra luxurious and private Edition Hotel, Ian Schrager’s new Waikiki-based hotel in collaboration with Marriott. “She wanted to get away,” a source tells Life & Style. “Christina landed late last night and is traveling with her producer, Tricky Stewart,” says the source. “She has a packed weekend ahead of her, including yoga, surfing lessons, hikes, lunches, VIP dinners and cocktail parties.” The pop singer left for the sunny paradise hours after she filed for divorce from Jordan. She was last seen in public taking, Max, her son with Jordan, pumpkin-picking in West Hollywood on Oct. 14.

It sounds like Xtina made her way to Hawaii just hours after she and son Max Liron paid a very public visit to the Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in Beverly Hills, CA on Thursday morning (the same day that she filed for divorce). It looks like Xtina plans to stay as active as possible until the divorce biz cools down. In Hawaii, she can escape all the drama and can enjoy the relative peace and quiet that she couldn’t enjoy here in SoCal. It’s unclear how long Xtina plays to stay away but I wouldn’t’ count on her getting back to LA for a few days.

Today, on the very same day that she filed for divorce from her husband Jordan Bratman, Christina Aguilera packed up her only begotten son Max Liron and moseyed on down to the Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in Beverly Hills, CA to try and show the world that she and her son are doing just fine in the wake of the dissolution of her marriage:

Because Max is so young, I’m pretty sure he’s not entirely aware of what is going on … but kids are smart and they know things. I think it’s a good idea for both of his parents to try and keep his life as normal as possible. It looks like Xtina and Max had a fun morning at the pumpkin patch today … I just hope they are able to move forward with their lives in as happy and as healthy a way as possible.

Oh yeah, they’re dunzo for sure. After it was reported on Tuesday that Christina Aguilera and hubby Jordan Bratman had split up and after Xtina issued a very vague statement about the split comes news today that she has just filed for divorce from her husband of just about 5 years. Whereas the couple claimed that there was nothing official about their split previously, this latest move on Xtina‘s part makes the dunzoness SO official:

Just days after confirming that she had separated on Sept. 11 from her husband Jordan Bratman, Christina Aguilera has filed for divorce, a source close to the singer confirms to PEOPLE. In the papers, Aguilera cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. She also asked for joint physical and legal custody of their son, Max.

TMZ has the divorce papers HERE, reveals that there is a prenuptial agreement in place and is circulating the rumor that it was cheating on Xtina‘s part that led to the initial split. HMMM. I mean, we may never know who if anyone cheated in that relationship but one thing is for sure … this break-up has gone from a mere separation to a full-on divorce. I suppose any chance of a reconciliation has pretty much been squashed. In the end, it’s prolly for the best in the long run … but still, it’s so sad to see a marriage come to an end.

In the wake of yesterday’s big news that married couple Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman have decided to separate, new photos of the pair have come to light … new photos of the couple living their very separate lives. Xtina spent part of her day yesterday shopping for toys for her son Max Liron (she apparently got the young lad a bake set) while Jordy spent part of his day running around town doing errands … which included a visit to his attorney:

Since the couple have been living separate lives for some time now and only yesterday confirmed their split, none of this is news … but in light of the knowledge that the couple are on the outs, well, it’s just sad to see them not together. You may recall that in Xtina‘s official statement about the break-up yesterday she made no mention of any “officialness” concerning the split … but it does seem curious that Jordan would pay a visit to his attorney on the day news of his break-up with his wife was made public. While I would love to see this couple get back together, I think it’s far more important that things work themselves out for the best … which means, if Xtina and Jordy are not happy together, then maybe the split should become permanent. It’s always sad when a couple breaks up … but it would be far sadder to see them languish in an unhappy marriage, especially when that anguish could have lasting negative effects on the couple’s young son. Ugh, so sad.
