Altho her last album, Bionic, may not have been as big as she may have liked, Xtina is forging ahead with work on her next collection of songs. In new comments made by The Voice judge, Xtina reveals that she finds herself in a very “introspective” stage of her life … which means her new songs will likely be informed by her introspection. I think it’s safe to say that 2010 was not a great year for popstar-turned-actress Christina Aguilera … not only did her marriage to Jordan Bratman come to an end but her professional career didn’t fare much better. Her album Bionic was deemed a flop and her film debut Burlesque wasn’t well received by critics and audiences. BUT, despite her arrest for public intoxication last year, 2011 turned out to be a better year for Xtina. Her hosting gig on The Voice managed to mute all of the previous year’s negativity and make her a star again. The late Michael Jackson was honored at a mostly official tribute concert called Michael Forever in Cardiff, Wales last night that was performed in front of an almost sold-out house. Performers like Alicia Keys, Jamie Fox and Christina Aguilera were among the performers who appeared live on stage while folks like Beyoncé provided pre-taped performances. Members of Jackson‘s family were in attendance as well … with the primary focus on the in-person appearances by MJ‘s children Prince, Paris and Blanket. Other members of the Jackson family were purposely NOT in attendance because they were not on board with a tribute concert to MJ happening at the same time that Dr. Conrad Murray‘s manslaughter trial for the death of Jackson is underway. Back in June we learned that Christina Aguilera was readying the release of her next fragrance, a perfume she is calling Secret Potion. Today we get to check out the video trailer for the smell. As you might guess from the single title, the video is full of tributes and homages to Mick Jagger, the frontman of Rolling Stones. Last month, Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine performed the new Maroon 5 song Moves Like Jagger together on an episode of The Voice. For the past few days, they’ve been hard at work filming a music video for the track. Maroon 5 frontman and judge/coach on The Voice teamed up with his Voice castmate Christina Aguilera for a new Maroon 5 single titled Moves Like Jagger and right now we get our first listen of the track. The song is a departure from the usual kind of music we get from Maroon 5 … specifically, Adam Levine‘s voice gets auto-tuned for the chorus.
