In December of 2010, we learned that Aussie actor Chris Hemsworth and Spanish model Elsa Pataky got themselves hitched. This week, we learn that the couple are expecting the birth of their first child! Chris and Elsa are holidaying this week off the coast of St. Barts on a PHAT yacht (complete with water slide and HELIPAD) and as you can see from the photos below, Elsa is happy showing off her burgeoning baby bump. Both Chris and Elsa were photographed enjoying the water slide off the yacht … which you can see in the fun photos below.

When last we saw photos here on the blog from the set of the superhero film The Avengers, Captain America and Loki were battling head to head in Cleveland, OH. Today we get to see a whole slew of new photos from the relocated NYC, NY set of the film … where most of the principle cast has been filming for the past couple days. Director Joss Whedon and Avengers creator Stan Lee were joined on set by Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey, Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Tom Hiddleston, Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner. Earlier this week we got our first look at Chris Evans in full Captain America costume on the Cleveland, OH set of The Avengers. Today we learn that Chris Hemsworth in full costume as Thor has joined him on set. Yesterday we saw super hot photos of Thor actor Chris Hemsworth at the beach here in SoCal and today we get to see him posing for Who magazine with his younger brother Liam. The Hemsworths were selected for the magazine’s 100+ Beautiful People of 2011 issue and posed together for their photo. With Hemsworth promoting Thor and filming The Avengers and Liam working hard on The Hunger Games, the time seems ripe for the Hemsworth brothers to take over the world.

Chris Hemsworth, the hunky Aussie actor who portrays Thor the God of Thunder in the superhero film of the same name, ventured out to Long Beach, CA this weekend to take in some sun and surf … which turned out to be a blessing to anyone with eyes. Thank the GODS … we are SO close to the release of the first big superhero blockbuster film of the year with Thor‘s opening this Friday. But last night, at Grauman’s Chinese Theater, the celebs came out for the Hollywood premiere of the film.
