Back in October, we saw a photo of comedienne Chelsea Handler and rapper 50 Cent lookin’ all coupley and cozy … but soon thereafter, Chelsea denied that she and 50 were romantically involved. Since then, the couple have surfaced together causing folks to wonder … are they or aren’t they? Last night, Chelsea posted a new photo on her official Twitter profile … a photo that shows her laying in bed with 50 … behold:

I don’t know why anyone thinks I would ever date a rapper.

HMMM. Because she’s a funny lady, it’s hard to tell if Chelsea‘s just playing around with us OR if she’s seriously involved with Mr. Cent. Chances are the couple are knockin’ boots and are using the chatter about their possible relationship to mask whatever it is that they are doing together. By putting it out there in a photo like this, she is deflecting what could really be going on. HMMM. Do you think these two are actually involved or are they just playing around with us?

While many of us were freezing out sweet buns here in the chilly US for Thanksgiving yesterday, Jennifer Aniston and some of her friends were sunnin’ themselves on holiday in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. You wouldn’t catch her wearing a red carpet outfit more than once. But it seems that when it comes to the beach, Jennifer Aniston is sensibly more conservative. Enjoying yet another Mexican holiday this Thanksgiving weekend, Jennifer recycled a purple bikini which she first wore a year ago. The former Friends star is in the country with her good friend, comedian Chelsea Handler, who also chose a revealing purple two-piece. Jennifer, who takes frequent breaks to Los Cabos, showed off her slender figure in her favourite purple two-piece, teamed with a sarong and hat to protect her skin. The 41-year-old is holidaying with a group of friends, in a break from filming her new movie Wanderlust … In New York she has been wrapped up warm against the wintry weather, but in Mexico it was time to strip down and enjoy the warm sunshine. Jennifer has taken dozens of holidays in Mexico in recent years – including breaks with ex-lovers John Mayer and Gerard Butler. But usually she brings along a large group of close friends, and celebrated her 40th birthday there with pals Sheryl Crow, Courteney Cox and Kathy Najimy. Reports recently surfaced that she was planned to buy a holiday home in the country with her close friend Courteney Cox.

There is no doubt, Jen LOVES vacationing in Cabo … and she very obvs really LOVES this purple bikini. Dude, if I looked as good in this bikini as Jen does, I’d wear the damn thing every single day. In early October a photo of comedienne and late night talk show host Chelsea Handler and rapper 50 Cent surfaced that made it appear that the pair were creepin’ together romantically. The following day, Chelsea went on the Twitter record to say that she and Mr. Cent are “just friends” and that the cozy photo of the pair (which was snapped in a loud jazz club in New Orleans, LA) were merely talking “business”. Today we get to see a new photo of Chelsea and 50 out and about together in Malibu, CA yesterday doing whatever it is that they are doing together:

Whether yesterday’s outing was another “business” meeting or not, it’s plainly obvious that Chelsea and 50 Cent enjoy one another’s company. Whether or not these hang out sessions will flourish into something more substantial, I would not be surprised if we end up seeing a lot more of this new couple out and about in public together. What do y’all think … are these two really just friends or are they bumpin’ uglies?

Yesterday we saw a photo of comedienne Chelsea Handler lookin’ all coupley with rapper 50 Cent (known to his mother as Curtis James Jackson III) in New Orleans, LA over the weekend, a photo which sparked speculation that a new celebrity couple was in the making. But, according to Chelsea herself, she and Fitty are NOT hooking up … they were merely talkin’ business:

Handler took to her official Twitter profile to clarify what is going on with Mr. Cent and she maintains that what we saw in that photo was a business meeting and nothing more. She tweets:

To be honest, I’m still confused by any association that Chelsea Handler might want to have with 50 Cent. Chelsea has been very vocal about her support of gay rights and yet she chooses to do business or whatever with a man who is famous for homophobia? In any event, at least now we “know” what is going on between them … not sure that it makes sense tho.

How’s this for a surprisingly strange coupling … comedienne and late night talk show host Chelsea Handler and Curtis James Jackson III, better known to the world as 50 Cent, were spotted lookin’ all couplely over the weekend at a jazz club in New Orleans, LA. Because of the intimate nature of the photo, new speculation is that Chelsea and 50 are a hot new item:

Chelsea Handler and 50 Cent have fueled rumours that the couple are dating after a picture surfaced of the two of them looking cosy together in a bar in New Orleans. The two were spotted at the Blue Nile Jazz Bar on Sunday night … and according to the U.S. website [TMZ], 50 and Handler were getting ‘very hot and heavy’. 50 was at the jazz club to perform, doing a freestyle rap set, but it is not known what, other than keeping him company, Handler was doing there … According to another U.S. site, Eonline the relationship isn’t so much about love as it is lust. ‘It’s more of a hookup thing – whenever they are in the same town,’ a source explains to E! Going on to dish: ‘They haven’t hooked up, but she’s open to it.’ Handler, meantime, is staying mum on the subject, promising however to address the rumours on her talk show.

I mean, HMMMMM … I’m not quite sure what to think about this. To be honest, 50 Cent doesn’t strike me as the kind of guy that Chelsea would go for … unless we are talking about a lust sorta thing. As you may know, 50 Cent has invited controversy recently with his string of offensive and homophobic messages on Twitter. He just doesn’t strike me as the kind of man that an intelligent woman would go for … especially when you consider her strong stance on the advocacy of gay rights. I guess we’ll have to wait and see what will come from this odd pairing. IMHO, Chelsea could do much better.

So … last night MTV threw its biggest party of the year, the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards … and despite attempts to hype up the possible drama that might’ve gone down on the show ended up giving us a fairly quiet and painfully drama-free awards show … much to many people’s chagrin. I was able to attend the show last night and from my perspective the show was OK but clearly lacking the excitement from VMA shows from days of yore. Here are a few photos from the red carpet arrivals last night:

Again, for me the carpet was kinda lackluster … kinda quiet. The Jersey Shore kids came out, some of the nominees did as well but really there wasn’t anything to get all excited about the entire time. I will say that Ciara looked the best on the carpet last night. Her dress was amazing … she was a vision just walking down the carpet. There weren’t too many fugly looks … but, as you might expect, the Jersey Shore kids brought way too much tan to the snow white carpet. I think you’ll find their sentiments echo the sentiments of many who watched last night …

As rumors suggested, Lindsay Lohan did make an appearance at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards … but she did so only in a pre-taped skit with host Chelsea Handler and did NOT appear on the show in person. To be honest, I think it was a much better/funnier idea for Lindsay to appear in the skit only as a tour of the limelight with all of that temptation might’ve been detrimental to her recovery. But, I digress. I actually thought Lindsay‘s little skit with Chelsea was kinda cute and funny. Here are a few screencaps and some deets about the skit:

As expected, MTV Video Music Awards host Chelsea Handler opened with a bang. In a pre-taped clip, the comedienne makes her way to the stage (and gets slapped on the butt a couple of times along the way). She meets up with troubled actress Lindsay Lohan, who pokes fun at her own struggles with sobriety before giving Handler a bit of advice: “Don’t embarrass me.” It went over pretty well, as did Handler’s monologue.

I understand a few people were not happy with Chelsea‘s hosting job last night … especially The New York Times:

And then there was the awkward plight of the night’s host, Chelsea Handler. She was among the worst in the show’s history — purposefully out-of-touch, with brief, alarming flashes of off-color racial humor. On her talk show, “Chelsea Lately,” in a smaller setting, her interviews with musicians, rappers in particular, are consistently hilarious and inappropriate. Here, she never looked comfortable, undone by nerves, brittle material and the wattage of those around her.

Yikes! I didn’t think she was that bad but I can see their perspective. To be honest, I thought Chelsea was a much better host than Russell Brand was for the past 2 years. But, I’m getting off topic. Lindsay decided to poke fun at her personal trubs and inject herself into the VMAs and, IMHO, she did a pretty decent job.
