Jamie Lynn Spears has dropped her baby daddy — and is dating an older man. In the Feb. 15 issue of Star, on sale now, we report that the 18-year-old has moved on from Casey Aldridge — the father of her 19-month-old daughter, Maddie — and is dating 28-year-old James Watson, a well-to-do businessman, whom she met about a year ago. “They started dating last December,” a source tells Star. “I don’t think James cares at all about who she is; they really seem to like each other.” So who is Britney’s sister’s new man? James — who’s based in Hammond, La., about 35 miles south of the Spears family estate in Kentwood — owns a company called Advanced Multimedia Partners. “He installs communications equipment and high-definition TVs for large corporations,” the source says. “James enjoys making money — and enjoys spending it too.” Locals are hardly surprised that Jamie Lynn’s been stepping out with a new man — while Casey, 20, has been spending most of his time in his family hometown of Liberty, Miss. “Even when she was pregnant, she didn’t really see a future with him,” a friend tells Star. “She only gave the impression of staying with him so long because it looked better in the eyes of the public.”

Say, what?! If this is really true, that Jamie Lynn has hooked up with a grown man who makes money, then I say HALLELUJAH! I’m sure Casey is a nice kid but having babies out of wedlock while still in your teens doesn’t usually a fairytale make. You may recall that we heard of JL steppin’ out in public while wearing a wig disguise, mebbe she was trying to creep around with her new man and keep the news underwraps. I’m not sure I totally believe this news just yet … but it’s a hopeful sign that Jamie Lynn Spears is finally acting like an adult.

Whew! I’m glad that rumor has been debunked. She’s been working since she was 11 — and a mother since she was 17 — so it’s actually refreshing to see Jamie Lynn Spears enjoying herself just like any other 18-year-old unwed mother. The younger Spears girl partied the weekend before last — with baby daddy Casey Aldridge — at a club called The Buzz in Hammond, La. It’s an 18 & over club and, amazingly, the VIP manager there told us he didn’t even know Jamie Lynn was ever there.

Now, I don’t know for sure … but I would bet good money that there ain’t milk in that plastic cup that Jamie Lynn is holding. To be honest, I wouldn’t blame the girl one bit if she were hittin’ the sauce … I imagine her life didn’t turn out quite the way she had planned. In the second pic you can see that Casey got a tattoo in his inner forearm … it’s not very clear but I think it reads Maddie Briann (the name of his daughter with Jamie Lynn). In the last pic you can clearly see the heinous mouth sores the poor guy is sportin’ …. again, the stress of teenage parenthood is most likely the cause. While it’s nice to see that JL can get out of the house, away from the baby and enjoy a night on the town … I can’t help but feel an ounce of sadness to see that this is what her life has become.

Yikes, it was just last October that we saw pics of Casey carefully washing his truck at a DIY car wash and now it looks like his toy is headed for the scrap heap. Britney Spears’ sister Jamie Lynn has reportedly called off her wedding to the father of her daughter – months after she was forced to deny rumours of a split. The pop star’s younger sibling hit the headlines at 16 when she announced she was expecting a child with her boyfriend Casey Aldridge, who she vowed to marry. Following the birth of their daughter Maddie Briann in June, the teen couple became the subject of fervent tabloid speculation which suggested they were living apart after Aldridge cheated on Spears. The Zoey 101 star came forward in October to deny the persistent infidelity rumours and re-iterate her plans to tie the knot with her boyfriend. But now the 17-year-old is said to have scrapped her plans to walk down the aisle with Aldridge once and for all – after deciding she doesn’t need an official ceremony to make her happy. A source tells U.S. magazine OK!, “The wedding’s off. They are still in love, living together and very happy, but they have no plans to get married. Jamie Lynn has everything she wants and feels no need for a ring and piece of paper.” And the publication alleges that Spears has also decided to give up her acting career – so she can focus on raising her toddler. The insider adds: “She has told friends and family she’s never coming back to Hollywood. She feels that part of her life is over. Jamie Lynn enjoyed every minute of doing Zoey, but since she’s had Maddie, her life has changed completely. “She’s happy being a real hands-on Southern mother and hopes to continue that for years to come with Casey right by her side. Jamie Lynn knows she needs to make a living when she grows older, so she’s already discussing her career options with advisers. She wants Maddie to grow up in comfort.”

Meh. Who needs a wedding to be in love? JL and Casey are still very young … even tho they already got the makin’ babies part down, there’s no need for them to rush into marriage if they feel they aren’t ready. I don’t know that Jamie Lynn Spears has made very many mature and adult decisions in her young life but it sounds like mebbe she is finally growing up. I guess havin’ babies can do that to a person. I bet Casey is pretty thrilled that the wedding’s off, too. Something tells me that he’s not the marrying kind … not yet anyway. Something also tells me that he would prolly do whatever JL tells him to do so … yeah, sigh of relief. I support their decision to hold off on the wedding until they’re ready to make a serious commitment to one another … let’s just hope there aren’t any more babies in the near future for these two.

As I’ve been saying, Casey is just a good ol’ boy. Never meanin’ no harm. Someday the mountain might get him but the law never will. In a rare, exclusive interview, new parents Jamie Lynn Spears and Casey Aldridge have reached out to OK! to defend themselves and their relationship against the tidal wave of rumor that has nagged them since the June 19 birth of their adorable baby daughter, Maddie Briann. A recent series of scurrilous tabloid stories have alleged that not only has 19-year-old Casey been unfaithful to Jamie Lynn, but that he’s also gotten another woman pregnant. The stories insist that the couple’s relationship is a sham and that he is still seeing other girls! On the topic of former friend Kelli Dawson, who claims to have been romantically involved with Casey, even after Maddie’s birth, he tells OK! these allegations of infidelity are “not the least bit” true. “In a small town, everybody knows everybody,” he explains. “But when money’s involved, you find out who your friends are.” As for reports he impregnated Kelli, a stunned Casey told OK!, “That’s news to me.” “That is just completely fabricated,” adds Jamie Lynn. “He never had an intimate relationship with her, so how would that be possible? Around here, that particular girl is known to make up stories.” And then there’s Whitney Seals, who supposedly romanced Casey. Says Jamie Lynn, “What happened was that one of those girls did it, and in this small town when one of them does it, they’re all like, ‘Good idea.’ They all jumped on the bandwagon.” The tall tales have taken their toll on the young parents. “It hurt me to hear those things,” reveals Jamie Lynn to OK!. “Because my family has to read it. Casey-Lynn is referring to THIS report from In Touch Weekly that published an interview with Kelli Dawson, who claims she had an intimate relationship with Casey Aldridge. Why the couple waited this long to refute Dawson’s claims, I’m sure I have no idea but at least they’ve spoken up at last. Jamie’s desperate to keep the shock­ing news secret and some people close to her are urging Jamie Lynn to consider ending the pregnancy, sources say. “Jamie Lynn is about eight weeks pregnant, and she and her mom Lynne are hysterical,” revealed a close source. “Neither of them knows what to do, but for now they’re trying to keep the news from getting out.” Too late. The unplanned pregnancy came as a shock to Jamie Lynn, who’d been breast-feeding her infant daughter Maddie Briann, insiders say. “Jamie Lynn believed she couldn’t get pregnant while she was breast-feeding,” said the close source. “She’d expected to have her period by early September.” A home pregnancy test came back positive and Jamie Lynn cried her eyes out, said the source. Her mother Lynne was livid when she found out, divulged an insider. Now, I must confess that The National Enquirer isn’t always the bastion of verity that they wish they were but they do get these stories right sometimes (just ask Sen. John Edwards). TMZ is sourcing an “unimpeachable source” that claims this pregnancy report is categorically untrue:

While several reports are claiming Jamie Lynn is preggers again, an unimpeachable source tells TMZ Britney’s baby sis does not have another bun in the oven.

To be honest, I would not be surprised if JL did get pregs again … if not now, sometime in the future. After all, neither she nor Casey has really proven to be the sharpest tools in the shed. I really do think that Casey-Lynn needn’t spawn any further but … I guess time will tell if either of them learn safe sex practices.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ federal and local authorities are on the hunt for someone peddling 12 pics of Britney Spears, Jamie Lynn, daughter Maddie and baby daddy Casey Aldridge. One of the pictures shows Jamie Lynn breast feeding Maddie — Jamie Lynn’s left breast is exposed. The pics were taken on Casey’s digital camera. We’re told he took the camera card to his local Wal-Mart in Louisiana for copies. Law enforcement believes someone at the Wal-Mart may have made extra copies, then tried selling them. Because Jamie Lynn is a minor, selling the pics — or buying them — could constitute a violation of federal laws prohibiting pornography. Peddling pictures of a minor’s breast — even if not taken for sexual purposes — could land the seller and the buyer in federal prison if they are marketed across state lines for the purpose of being lurid. Also, anyone purchasing the pics could be prosecuted for the crime of receiving stolen property. Other pics in the set include Britney holding the baby and one of Jamie Lynn, Britney, Brian (Brit’s bro), Lynne Spears and Jamie Spears around Jamie Lynn’s hospital bed. There are also pics of Maddie by herself, and there’s a picture of Jamie Lynn in a negligee holding the baby. Authorities are trying to find the man who is attempting to sell the photos. In addition, we’re told Britney’s lawyers are thinking about going after Wal-Mart for the alleged security breach.

I mean … really? It never occurred to Casey that developing photos like this at Wal-Mart might be a bad idea? While it is grossly unfair that celebrities have to take extra precautions with things like this, I think it makes a wee bit more sense to mebbe invest in a $100 photo printer to print out personal pics like this? Mebbe? I mean, yes I understand that the Wal-Mart person is ultimately responsible for this heinous crime but I simply cannot believe that Casey would be this dumb. Actually, considering the situation he got him and his teenage lover in by practicing unsafe sex, I can believe he is this dumb.

You know what, the look is simple and it works for Casey. The boy wears baseball caps about 98% of the time (which is a good thing because he doesn’t look all that great when he’s not wearing the cap). I may give the boy grief and I may have my suspicions that he might be a cad but, on the real, he seems like a regular, good ol’ kid. He works hard, appears to be sticking by his new family … I can’t imagine that it’s an easy life, no matter who his in-laws are. I’m not sure if there will be a happily every after for Casey-Lynn but, so far, he’s hangin’ in there … that has to count for something.

For months, rumors have circulated that Casey Aldridge has cheated on Jamie Lynn — but no one has come forward to confirm them, until now. In an exclusive interview with In Touch, 28-year-old Kelli Dawson reveals that she and Casey, 19, were romantically involved — and were still sleeping together when Jamie Lynn, now 17, was six months pregnant with his child. No fleeting hookup, Casey and Kelli’s relationship was both real and lasting — and it grew in intensity, even as Jamie Lynn announced she was pregnant. And, Kelli says, they still meet up on a regular basis. “I see him all the time, at least once a week,” she shares. The pair first met in November 2006, at the home of her sister, Kim Toller. At the time, Casey was already dating Jamie Lynn, but the sexual chemistry between Casey and Kelli was instant. “We were both really attracted to each other,” Kelli reveals. “He totally instigated it and pursued me. His friends would tell me that he liked me, that he thought I was pretty.” The couple saw each other a few times and “kissed randomly,” but it wasn’t really “hot and heavy,” Kelli admits, until the spring of 2007. Um, wow. Well, at least this Kelli girl was lucky that Casey didn’t get her pregs because we all know that Mr. Aldridge isn’t a firm believer in practicing safe sex. This story is so … sad. I mean, I had my suspicions about Casey and his creepin’ ways (especially after THESE pictures to light) and now that this chick has flat out admitted that she and Casey were still having sex “a few months before Jamie Lynn gave birth”, well, it all seems fairly believable to me. The pics are hard to deny … tho, it is impossible to know exactly when they were taken (it’s also difficult to tell for sure if Kelli and the girl in the pics are the same person). I’m sure none of this is anything that Jamie Lynn wants to hear about the father of her newborn baby girl. Oh, and I love how Jason Alexander (the guy who Britney Spears was married to for .5 secs) was available to offer his $0.02 on a matter that has absolutely nothing to do with him at all. Lord, you just know he sits by the phone praying that someone, anyone, will call. See, this is really what happens when children start having sex and having babies before they’re ready … they get mixed up in scenarios like this that aren’t really conducive to a stable family life.
