The Hills are alive … again. With the 5th season of the MTV reality show debuting next Monday night, it’s about time that we got to check out the new cast promo photos for the upcoming new season. As you may be aware (those of you who have seen the season 5 preview trailer once or twice), Lauren LC Conrad and her ex-BFF turned nemesis Heidi Montag are back to being friends again … or something. Hey, the show needs a gimmick to get folks to tune in again, right? Here are a couple brand spanking new promo pics of LC and Heidi together again:

I understand that the promo photos for the past few seasons had to be Photoshopped so that the girls could be in the same frame (since they didn’t want to be photographed together). Now that all of that is water under the bridge, the girls are — once again — happy to be photographed together. Does this mean that all is forgiven? We shall soon find out. And another celeb couple bites the dust … Star magazine is reporting that the fairytale romance betwixt The Hills star Brody Jenner and his Playboy Playmate centerfold paramour Jayde Nicole has come to an end. According to the mag, Jayde had to be carried out unconscious after a long night of partying one time too many for Brody’s liking … they are dunzo, y’all:

He’ll have more time to spend with his bros! Bromance and The Hills star Brody Jenner broke up with his Playboy Playmate girlfriend Jayde Nicole over the weekend after she passed out at the club My House Hollywood on Friday night and he had to carry her out of the place and take care of her the next day. “Jayde parties way too much and Brody couldn’t deal with it any longer,” a source tells Star. The source adds that Brody’s ex, Lauren Conrad is already playing matchmaker for the hunk, saying: “Lauren was happy with the split because she never liked Jayde and told Brody she will find him a new girlfriend.” Brody and Jayde first stepped out together at the MTV Video Music Awards in September. Just last month they cohosted a Valentine’s Day bash at the Highlands in Hollywood.

If a love like this cannot withstand the test of time then surely there is no hope for the rest of us … right? ;) Honestly, I gotta say that I’m not all that shocked at this news … whether this reported break-up is true or not, a couple like this is never meant to last for long. I’m sure Brody has a long list of willing ladies lined up to step in and take Jayde’s place … I’m also sure that Jayde will have no problem finding a nice guy to show her some romantic attention. It IS interesting that Brody is single again now that filming on the 5th and final season of The Hills is underway … might there be a chance for a fictional reunion between Brody and Lauren LC Conrad? HMMMMMM.

The next season of The Hills is currently in production as the entire gang from the show were spied in Hawaii this week with MTV cameras in tow. Here is a group shot of the Hills folks sauntering nonchalantly on the beach in full view of any and everyone who cared to take notice yesterday afternoon:

While Lauren Conrad and Lo Boswoth may have vacated their Hollywood Hills pad, it seems they’ve traded up for the island paradise of Turtle Bay. Celebuzz spies in Oahu, Hawaii caught Lauren, Lo, Audrina Patridge and Stephanie Pratt vacationing this weekend at Turtle Bay resort, soaking up sun and cocktails—all on camera. While MTV was unreachable for comment, it seems Season 5 of the reality hit is upon us! “They were all together, sipping Chi-Chi’s [pina colada's with vodka],” the source says, “Lo picked up the tab for drinks and then all four girls laid in the sand.” Elsewhere at the resort, where Jason Segal and Mila Kunis filmed Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Brody Jenner and Frankie Delgado enjoyed bro time while production was manned from two large trucks of equipment. And what can we expect from the island get away, by the time it makes its edited way to our hot little hands? Boy talk! “Lauren and Lo were talking about two guys they met at [Los Angeles club] Apple,” said the spy. The loves and lives of the SoCal girls now contend with expat Whitney Port, and her NYC show The City.

Meh. I gotta admit … the obvious unreality of this reality TV show is really unappealing. I mean, I get that it was always fake to an extent but the stagedness of the series has gotten so out of hand … there isn’t even a single ounce of believability anymore. Mebbe it’s just me but I really preferred the show when MTV at least tried to make the drama seem real … mostly by being more clandestine about how the show gets filmed. They’re not even trying to hide the fact that the show is mostly pre-contrived drivel. I dunno … it’s just not as fun anymore. Brody Jenner and BFF Frankie Delgado recently sat down with Life & Style magazine to talk about the new MTV competitive reality TV series Bromance (which debuts on December 29) and confess to the mag that there is still a chance for ex-BFF Spencer Pratt to get back in Brody’s good graces. Since true bromances never die, Brody reveals that the door is always open for Spencer to, once again, roll in Brody’s entourage … tho, Frankie reveals he can only do so after paying his dues:

Best friends Brody Jenner and Spencer Pratt had a falling out on The Hills, but Brody, 25, says the door is still open for Spencer to appear on his new MTV reality show, Bromance, premiering Dec. 29, when Brody begins his search for a new buddy. “I love Spencer,” he tells Life & Style. “Trust was broken, but that doesn’t mean we can’t be friends.” Brody’s Bromance cohort, Frankie Delgado, says that if Spencer, 25, wants back in, he’s going to have to work for it. “He’ll have to compete,” Frankie says. “We’re going to have to put him through some tests!”

LOL. While I sincerely doubt that Spencer Pratt would ever agree to compete for Brody’s attentions again, I think it would be hilarious to see him try. I’m a bit disturbed and intrigued by this Bromance show … I’m very curious to see what all these straight dudes are willing to go thru in order to be friends with Brody Jenner. I understand that being gay doesn’t help. Whether or not Spencer ever attempts to reignite his bromance with Brody remains to be seen … but it won’t be long before we get to see other dudes emasculate themselves to vie for his attentions and gain entry into his inner circle. Yep, this whole thing sure sounds very straight to me.

Part blog, part bastion of Brody info, this new site looks all set up to satisfy all y’all’s Brody Jenner needs. Cheeseball Brody Jenner is at it again. When he’s not throwing fake premiere events for a fake line of jeans for his new MTV competitive reality TV series Bromance (folks, if you don’t know what I’m talking about, you must click HERE) he is, apparently, channeling Ralph Macchio as the Karate Kid as he makes his way out of Hollywood hotspots like Coco De Ville in West Hollywood, CA … behold:

I mean. Whut? Don’t be surprised if these latest shenanigans also end up on Brody’s new TV show. Brody is a total goofball which I think really adds to his appeal. I mean, Brody is a totally down guy, really nice and lots of fun … what’s not to love? If the girls on The Hills can branch out with their own shows, why can’t the guys? AND, I’m pretty sure that Brody would at least pay his bud Frankie Delgado for appearing on his show ;) I hear Bromance is scheduled to begin airing on MTV in late October … I honestly can’t wait to watch all those guys vying for Brody’s affection. I mean … c’mon, that’s a little hot, right?

Brody Jenner was on hand at Kitson in West Hollywood, CA last night for a launch event to promote the release of his new denim jeans line called Brody Jenner Jeans. Here is your first look at what the promo materials for Brody’s new jeans line looks like:

Words fail me. I mean, Brody is my dawg and all but … I just don’t know exactly what to say about this … life-size cut out display of Brody Jenner and his low-cut jeans. I mean … HMMM. Anyone?

To be honest, I’m a bit surprised he wasn’t too embarrassed to show his face after that life-size cut out display of himself was revealed … I mean … wow. Thoughts?

UPDATE: PRAISE JEBUS! This Brody Jenner Jeans thing is not real … thank the gods. I hear from a little birdie in the know that this Kitson event was staged as one of the final challenges for the contestants on Brody’s new reality show Bromance (which is currently filming). Thankfully, the jeans line and the ad campaign have been faked for the show. My faith in Brody has been restored.

Now … if only I could figure out how to get my hands on that life-size stand-up display of Brody and his buttcrack … I’m sure I can find a nice home for it!
