BritneySpears.com has been updated with new promo pics of our dear Britney Spears lookin’ about as amazing as she ever has before. Now, I realize that the photos have been retouched and airbrushed to perfection but one thing that folks cannot deny is that Brit Brit has been lookin’ real smokin’ in the past few months. As much as I don’t really care for the circus-themed photos that have been released thus far, I really do love the cleaner new batch of promo photos that have just been released on her official site:

Britney Spears is featured in the new issue of OK! magazine in a new interview where she opens up about a various range of topics from her childhood, to her feelings on being a role model to … soccer and David Beckham. Here is a scan from this issue of OK! (courtesy of BreatheHeavy.com) and a partial transcription of the interview:

You landed your big break on The Mickey Mouse Club aged 11. Have you ever felt that you lost your childhood?

I only did the show for two years, and for six months out of each year I was at home all the time. I had a wonderful childhood I was probably in my tenth year of school when I left to record my album – so I did the whole prom thing and played on the basketball team. There are some kids in show business who are always in New York and constantly going to audition, but I was fortunate it wasn’t like that for me.

When did you decide that you wanted to be a performer?

It was when I was on the Mickey Mouse Club that I realized I had a major love of music. We were involved in concerts and were in the recording studio, and I was like: “I want to go for this!” When the show was canceled, it was sad, I just wanted to get back out there again. That’s when I went to Jive records and they signed me.

You once said it’s scary to be a role model. Why is that?

Because I make mistakes. If I do something wrong, I don’t want teenagers to feel like they should go out and do that as well. If you’re a role model, that’s what happens.

You mean it’s a lot of responsibility?

Yes, I don’t like that. I’m just human.

Do you feel as though the public doesn’t get to see the real Britney?

Everyone reckons I’m naïve. When I’m on stage, they definitely see the real me. When I’m not performing, they just have me down as some girl with blonde hair. Someone once asked me, “Do you think that because you’re blonde, you have more fun?” I was like “No, not at all!” Its just this is how I look and what works on top of what I do’ You should be happy for a person, not just assume they are a certain way.

In trying to be successful, can you be over-ambitious?

Yes. I think I have that problem. I honestly do. I’m such a perfectionist sometimes. It has its good points, but then it has its bad points because you’re never satisfied. I don’t think you should ever be completely satisfied as then you’re putting a limit on yourself. You should be happy with the person you are on the inside, but on the outside you should always be trying to strive for more.

And does that make you happy?

You end up driving yourself crazy because you’re never pleased with the finished project. You’re always like ‘Well if I’d done it like this, then it probably would’ve been a lot better’.

If you have to choose between career or family, what would come first?

I would choose both. Why not? But, of course, If it really came down to it, family!

What about getting older? Is it possible to age within pop business?

Yes, definitely. Madonna is proof of that.

Soccer is getting bigger and bigger in America. Who is your favorite player, and are you any good at the sport?

David Beckham – he’s a cutie. I am not a very good soccer player, so I have to get someone to help me. Maybe he can …

Do you like being challenged and trying new things?

Oh Definitely!! That’s why every award show I attend, I do a different performance. I always change it up a lot, and it’s good for the fans too as they got to see me more. I’m always trying to set myself new goals. You have to do that to be on top.

How do you hope to be remembered?

That I was just able to put a smile on people’s faces. That saw me in a movie and they left the movie theater feeling good, or they saw me dancing and it inspired them.

She sounds great … it’s really amazing having her back to this cognizant point again. I am really loving all this new stuff we’re getting from her directly. MTV won’t premiere the new, very candid documentary film titled Britney Spears: For The Record until November 30 but today we are getting our first taste of what sort of information will be presented in that film. Talking very candidly about her recent troubles, Britney gives her perspective on the things that have transpired in her life and the ramifications of her actions. Likening her life to a “jail sentence”, Britney reveals — for the first time, in her own words — the pain that she has been dealing with over the past months and years:

Britney Spears says that since her breakdown, her life has been worse than a jail sentence – but that she’s slowly healing one day at a time. “I have really good days, and then I have bad days,” the singer, 26, admits in a new fly-on-the wall, 90-minute documentary, Britney: For The Record, to air in the U.S. Nov. 30 on MTV and in the U.K. Dec. 1 on Sky1. Struggling to gain control of her life again after her public meltdown earlier this year, she says candidly: “Even when you go to jail, y’know, there’s the time when you’re gonna get out. But in this situation, it’s never ending. It’s just like [the Bill Murray movie] Groundhog Day.” She adds, “I’m having to pay for it for a really long time.” Spears was hospitalized for mental evaluation in January, which resulted in her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, being granted sole custody of their sons, Preston and Jayden. Her father, Jamie Spears, also gained legal control over her affairs. “If I wasn’t under the restraints that I’m under right now, I’d feel so liberated,” she says in the film, which follows the singer as she records and promotes her new album Circus. “When I tell them the way I feel, it’s like they hear me, but they’re really not listening.” A camera crew followed the singer for three months as she moved to pull her life back on track. “I wanted to make this film because I started to feel like I wasn’t being seen in the light that I wanted to be seen in,” Spears said. “This is an opportunity to set the record straight and talk about what I’ve been through and where I’m headed.” Overall, she says, “I think I’ve learned my lesson now, and enough is enough.”

Wow. I can’t even begin to imagine what Britney Spears‘s life is like, especially in the wake of her breakdown, but from the outside looking in … I can’t imagine that her life now is worse than it was when she was spiraling down in a tragic mess all last year long. When she was under the control of Sam Lutfi, Alli Sims and Adnan Ghalib she looked hopeless and lost. These days there is a sparkle in her eye and a sense of purpose. I realize that she may think she is still “paying for” her breakdown but, to me, it looked like she was in a deep, deep hole. You can’t just climb out of something like that and expect to be 100% free again. Again, I can’t profess to know what her life is like but I know that I am thankful that her parents stepped in to take control of her life and her affairs after her breakdown. Who knows what her life might be like if she were allowed to continue on her tragic course towards travesty.

Her life is far from tragic these days … with a new album about to drop and plans for a new world tour, she really does have something to keep her active … something to work towards. BritneySpears.com has been updated with another batch of behind-the-scenes photos of our dear Britney gettin’ all glammed up for (what I assume was) a magazine photoshoot. You may recall that earlier this week we got to see a few beautiful black & white photos of Britters gettin’ ready for her shoot and today we get to see a few hazy, colored photos of Britney getting made-up at her on set vanity:

Additionally, a new Circus promo pic has made it’s way to the Internets … this one looks like it is an outtake photo that was taken during Britney‘s album cover photoshoot:

That’s a lot of weave she’s got goin’ on in this pic. I’m not totally feelin’ the photo but I am quite pleased with the way the promo for the album is coming along overall. I’m hoping that we’ll get to see some vibrantly colored, very fun photos too … scary clowns need not apply.

BritneySpears.com has been updated, right on schedule, with a new set of behind-the-scene photos of Britney Spears getting all glammed up for an as-yet-unseen photoshoot … giving us a sneak peek at what’s to come when the shoot eventually gets published:

According to her official site, the photos show Britney with a “celebrity photographer in Hollywood” but the photographer is not named. Because the photos do not have a “circus theme” about them, my guess is that the photoshoot is for a magazine. After the jump, check out a couple more photos from this new set released on her site …

BritneySpears.com has been updated with a bunch of new insider photos from a recent casting session for her new troupe of dancers. Since Britney Spears has been in Kentwood, LA for the past few days, it’s clear that these photos were snapped here in LA before she left the State. Here are a few of the pics that were posted to her site today and some info about what is going on in the pics:

Yesterday we got a photo from an audition Britney held for an unknown upcoming project. Today BritneySpears.com has details about both the try-outs and what they were for! We just found out that over 70 super talented dancers came to a grueling audition for Britney’s new promotional tour. It was a really long day and the pressure was really on! After a few rounds of cuts the dancers finally got the chance to dance for Britney, Andre and his agents and show them all what they’ve got! So what was Britney looking for? Three new guys for her dance crew — a “womanizer” (of course!) and two “jester” types. We hear that the talent there was AMAZING, which means that Britney’s upcoming performances are going to be out of this world!!!

Man … I will never get tired of seeing Britney back in the swing of things. These photos look like they could’ve been snapped 8 years ago when she was casting dancers for her Oops! I Did It Again Tour. It’s a mighty nice sight seeing her manager Larry Rudolph by her side again … just like the good ol’ days. I think we are all very relieved that her son Jayden James‘s hospital scare is over and that the little guy is doing fine … now she can get back to enjoying her holiday in Louisiana. It looks like she’s got a lot more work ahead of her … hopefully she can use this downtime to recharge for the coming promo whirlwind ahead.

Britney Spears is hard at work on her next music video and has, indeed, already begun filming said video. At this point we do not know what song the video is for … well, actually we do not know the names of any of the songs on her new album Circus … but by the look of the costumes her dancers were wearing on set, the circus theme looks like it’ll be in full effect. By the way — I almost didn’t recognize our friend Tucker! He just cut his hair and he says he bleached it blonde for an upcoming project.

Granted, these costumes don’t look really that sexy in the harsh light of day but I’m sure they will look amazing on video. I am DYING to know what the rest of Britney’s album will sound like … we need a tracklisting or something. No word on when this video will be released or when we’ll hear the song itself. BritneySpears.com has been updated with a fun new video of our dear Britney Spears showing her fans just what it takes to get a hot bod like Brit‘s:

Now that Britney’s bangin’ bod is back, we’ve been wondering how she managed to get so toned so fast! Well, no secrets here. We’ve got an exclusive video from Britney’s home gym so you can see for yourself! When Britney was doing this workout routine, she was meeting with her trainer Seven four to five times per week. Isn’t that just the coolest gym or what?!

Additionally, Britney‘s new online PR team has created an official Twitter profile so that fans can follow Britney‘s up-to-the-minute tweet updates. Apparently, she made her way to Santa Barbara, CA for a little quick trip this weekend and shares the view from her hotel room HERE. I am REALLY LOVING all of this stuff we’re getting from Britney Spears these days. For once, her official website is actually providing fans with palatable and fun updates almost on a daily basis. If this is the plan to get fans back on board with her again, i think it’s brills! As for those of us who never left her, well, I think we’re enjoying this new level of interaction even more :)

Britney Spears has been bizzy this week spending quality time with her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, as she should, but that doesn’t mean that homegirl has been letting up on her work regimen. Her official website BritneySpears.com has been updated with new photos of Britters continuing work on a new dance routine for an upcoming live performance or music video that were taken, according to the site, Thursday:

From BritneySpears.com: OMG! I’m loving these new dance rehearsal pics Britney just sent us! We hear rehearsal last night was intense but Brit got inspired when she put on Tucker’s hat and she began to totally rock the session (btw – Tucker’s the cute guy in the black T-shirt).

It is very clear that while Britney is devoting much time to the care of her children, girl’s got work to do, too! She seems to be handling it all very well … of course, I hope she will be able to continue juggling her personal and professional lives. Britney Spears, after picking up her sons from pre-school, took her children Sean Preston and Jayden James for an afternoon of fun at the Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in Beverly Hills, CA yesterday to enjoy some family fun together. You may recall that Mr. Bones is ground zero for Hollywood celebs and their children to pick out their annual Halloween pumpkins and yesterday Brit Brit and her boys got in on the action. Here are a few pics of her pre-school pick-up and their visit to the pumpkin patch yesterday, including one photo that was posted on Brit‘s official website:

Britney wanted us to get these exclusive pictures up for you guys right away! She just sent them and they’re amazing pics of Britney with Sean Preston and Jayden James at a pumpkin patch. Britney tells us that the boys jumped on the “jumpin pumpkin” trampoline while she watched and laughed from the doorway. They all had a blast! Of course the paps were everywhere, including one who was hiding in a tree (he looks a lot like the big rabbit on the pumpkin next to him!). After finding the perfect pumpkins, Brit and the boys headed back home — where I am sure they are making some awesome jack-o-lanterns! Thanks for the photos, Britney! They’re so cute!

Awww … so cute! I am really diggin’ these regular updates and photo exclusives from BritneySpears.com. I must admit, I didn’t really believe their claim that they would be offering insider updates on a regular basis because the same promises were made by previous official Britney websites with updates being released very few and far between. Since BritneySpears.com went online last week, we’ve already been treated to some great info (like news that she would be appearing on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine and has begun work on a new dance routine for an as-yet unknown live performance or music video) and it looks like the updates will continue to come. Some might scoff that Britney is offering so much insider info (when she should be staying as private as possible) but it appears that she is well aware that her every move is chronicled anyway, so she might as well have control over of how some of the info is released to the public. She just keeps on, keepin’ on … and I’m glad that we’re allowed to be along for the ride.
