Aww … ain’t this a sweet sight … Britney Spears, on one of her scheduled visits with her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, was seen taking her boys out for a little walk — and she had a new friend with her. Here are a couple pics of Britney with a new girlfriend and their children out for a stroll around Brit Brit‘s home yesterday afternoon:

I love it! Britters needs to be hanging out with peers, other mothers, her own age rather than anyone from the Hollywood “It” crowd. I bet she could also use a break from all her handlers and employees … and this new friend, who has a child of her own (it seems), seems like the perfect person for her to be chillin’ with. And, her sons have a new playmate. Go, Britney! You keep doing your thing … you’re deffo on the right track … and we’re all rootin’ for you, right?

This week’s issue of OK! magazine which features Britney Spears on the cover, along with her first proper interview in about 2 years, doesn’t hit newsstands until this Thursday but here is a sneak preview of one of the pics of Britters and her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James that will be featured in the issue:

OY! While I can do without the family’s insane love of Cheetos, I can’t help but love the adorableness of this photo. While haters and nay-sayers will prolly find plenty to make fun of in this pic, I think you can see the genuine care and love that Britney has for her children (even if their nutritional care isn’t of paramount importance … I keed, I keed). Some folks think it might be too early to start celebrating Britney‘s “return” just because of one lucid interview but I disagree … I think that Britney has shown time and time again over the past few months that she really does have her act together. This interview is but the latest positive step forward in her life. I will happily celebrate and commend her every step of the way. As much as I love this pic, you gotta admit, little Jayden looks a bit out of it (the first thing I thought of when I saw JJ‘s expression in this pic was THIS) … he’s a damn cutie tho. Again, I’m really excited to read this interview in full … and I want to see the rest of the pics.

At long last, Britney Spears finally sits down for her first real interview in 2 years in order to give some insight on her life from her own perspective. We’ve heard things about her life from various other outside sources but even the stuff we got from the people closest to her in her inner circle cannot equal the sort of insight that can be gleaned from her own words. Last year, Britney disastrously tried to do an interview with OK! magazine and we all know how that turned out … this week, Brit Brit really sits down with OK! magazine and gives an interview the magazine proclaims is not to be missed:

From her nasty divorce and custody battle to her now-infamous performance at the 2007 VMAs to the dark period under the control of “manager” Sam Lutfi, it’s safe to say that the last two years were not the best in the young life of Britney Spears. And now, one year after an erratic and distracted Brit stormed out of an OK! photoshoot, a very different woman sits down to talk openly about her two adorable sons, her father and the future of her nearly sidetracked career. Having spent her young life in the spotlight, the 26-year-old mother of two tells OK! that she hopes her boys choose not to choose a career in entertainment. “I’d love them unconditionally if they wanted to,” she explains. “I’d just as soon they have a more normal childhood.” Perhaps some of Britney’s reluctance comes from seeing her little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, have to face so much public scrutiny over her recent pregnancy. “I was shocked a little bit,” says Brit. “She’s always been the baby, and now the baby was having a baby. It was mind-boggling.” The pop superstar also tells OK! that she wants her boys to be close to her newborn niece. “I’m sure the boys will be like big brothers to Maddie,” she says. In an unexpected twist, Britney’s downward spiral in recent years ultimately helped to heal the bonds between the singer and her parents, Lynne and Jamie Spears. “God has a way of taking something bad and turning it into something good,” explains Jamie, who also spoke exclusively to OK!. “If this hadn’t happened, I would never have been able to get back with my daughter and have this relationship I have with these two little boys.” Another positive that’s risen out of her darkest days is Britney’s new album, which she expects to hit stores in six to nine months. “I think it is more urban,” she tells OK!. “I’m writing every day, right here at the piano in this living room … This is my best work ever.”

OMG OMG OMG … she sounds great! I dreamed of the day that Britney Spears would get her life back in order and not just look like she is doing better but really actually get better. Everything that we’ve seen in the past few months has really gone on to prove that she has actually gotten her life back in order. I can’t *wait* to read this interview. I cannot even tell you how pleased I am to hear her sounding so well. And she’s doing it properly … little by little, bit by bit … not rushing into things too fast, not giving 45 interviews at once … she’s taking her time and taking care of biz. Welcome back, Britney! We’ve missed you something awful :)

Aww, this is really cute. Britney Spears, lookin’ pretty smashing IMHO, stepped out on the town last night for dinner out with her peeps and was spied wearing a homemade necklace with her sons’ names on it. Sure, it may not have been the most stylish thing she could’ve worn but something about the way that Jayden and Preston are spelled out with these little letter tiles makes the bauble look all the more endearing:

Britney Spears showed off her tender side last night when she stepped out wearing a homemade necklace displaying the name of her two sons. The 26-year-old singer showed her love for her boys Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, 23 months, by wearing their names around her neck as she dined out in Los Angeles. The childlike design, possibly made by the boys themselves, displayed her eldest son Sean Preston’s middle name and youngest’s first name. The singer has been looking better than ever in recent weeks after bouncing back from recent health troubles. Looking tanned and toned, Britney showed off her svelte physique in tight black skinny jeans and a frilly vest top … Earlier in the day, Britney stepped out at the Lisa Kline boutique to indulge in a sport of retail therapy. Britney has been happy in recent weeks after finally agreeing to a custody settlement with ex-husband Kevin Federline. As part of the new agreement, Britney is allowed two visits and one overnight stay with her two sons, while Kevin retains primary custody. Her lawyer is hopeful the custody arrangement will be altered in the future to allow the singer even more time with her boys.

She looks great and I love the necklace. I still contend that it must be very hard for her to give up the fight for custody of her two sons right now but I believe that she will win back more time with her children as time goes on, as she continues to get better. It’s little touches like this that keeps her sons close to her heart and remind her what she is working towards … a happy and healthy future with her boys. She’ll get there.

Yesterday we got our first look at the first promo image for the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards that features our dear Britney Spears along with VMAs host Russell Brand and a 900 lb. elephant (in the room) which immediately got everyone (me included) all jazzed at the prospect that Britney might be making a return to the VMAs stage to redeem herself. Speculation seems pretty convinced that she will be making a triumphant return to the VMAs stage next month, I personally am just crossing my fingers and hoping for the best (she’s gonna do it, she’s gonna do it, she’s gonna do it). She really does look amazing again … she has been lookin’ this good for months now. I will continue to proclaim just how pleased I am at how well Britney has been doing these past few amazing months. She’s on task, ready for action and ready to reclaim her throne atop the pop music scene … I can feel it :) She is such a far cry from where she was around this time last year … and she’s gonna just keep gettin’ better — you’ll see.

MTV may be keeping mum on whether or not Britney Spears will take to the stage and perform at next month’s 2008 MTV Video Music Awards but they are happily letting the world know that Brit Brit is appearing in the new promo campaign for the awards show. Here is our first look at a new promo pic for this year’s VMAs which features Britney Spears, VMAs host Russell Brand and a 900 lb. elephant in the room:

She’s (almost) back! A year after her embarrassing performance at the Video Music Awards , Britney Spears returned to the MTV stage this week to tape a promotional video for this year’s ceremony. “Britney looked really good,” says a source. “It was improvisational questions and answers with [host] Russell Brand just like [other promo guest stars] LL Cool J and Pete Wentz did. Russell joked about there being sexual tension, and Britney shot back, ‘I don’t feel the tension’. The other joke was about no one knowing who Russell was so she called him by the wrong name. LL called him Russell Bland and Britney called him Russell Brown.” The shoot also included a 9,000 pound elephant. Says the source, “The joke of the whole thing is ‘there is an elephant in the room’.” While the network cannot confirm whether Spears will appear on the show airing on Sept. 7, Spears’s promo appearance is a promising sign. The singer, who has been nominated 17 times, has yet to walk away with a win and is nominated for two this year. She is up for best female video and best pop video.

OMG! She is SOOOO gonna be there. And she is SOOOO gonna kick ass this year, I just know it. I had the misfortune to bear witness to Britney‘s disastrous performance inside the Pearl Theater at the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV for the VMAs last year and remember how disappointed everyone (including me) was … but this year, I just know it, she’s gonna undo all of that negativity. I can feel it in me bones, she is gonna have a huge comeback this time … I know it, I know it, I know it. Just wait and see …

I mean, Britney has been lookin’ good for some time now but these latest pics of Brit Brit really hearken back to the days of yore when Britters was in her prime … behold:

It looks like her recent trip to Mexico was good for her, she hasn’t looked this fresh-faced and happy in ages. To be honest, I could’ve thrown in a few pics of Britney circa 2001 and I doubt anyone would’ve know the difference. It is very encouraging seeing our dear Britney look so damn good. The future looks bright for our girl, she looks ready to really make the stunning comeback that we’ve all been hoping might happen one day :)

Our dear Britney Spears has decided to flee the country, at least for the weekend, and was spotted in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico bikini-clad and basking in the sun. She was also photographed enjoying an impromptu poolside dance with a handsome stranger … after the week she’s had (agreeing to settle her 2-year long custody battle with ex-hubby Kevin Federline) she was prolly in the mood for a little vacay:

With her custody drama with Kevin Federline finally over, Britney Spears is back in shape and ready for fun. The pop star escaped to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico for a sunshine holiday with a group of friends, including longtime pal George Maloof, who owns the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. After slipping into a skimpy white bikini, the singer flirted up a storm with another male companion, giggling as the pair danced around the pool arm-in-arm. And for posterity … a female friend caught all the action on a video camera. The party later moved to the beach, where Britney frolicked on the foreshore before cooling her heels in the sea. The star is making the most of her free time after officially agreeing to give her ex husband Kevin Federline sole custody of the couple’s two sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1.

I, for one, think it’s a great idea for her to get away for a bit and to get in some relaxation time. I imagine it wasn’t very easy for her to decide to end the custody battle with K-Fed but, it is my contention, that her compliance is part of a bigger plan to one day win back physical custody of her children. Without going out into my guesswork again (click HERE if you’d like to revisit my theory), I’ll just say that Britney is finally seeing the bigger picture and is working for a lasting resolution that will hopefully work in her favor one day. In the meantime, she deserves a vacay holiday … and with a handsome gent, to boot. Good for her. I’m deffo in her corner.

Rumors continue to swirl concerning her possible appearance at the 2008 MTV VMAs in September … I pray she does make a triumphant return. If so, she will deffo do it right this time, I just know it :)
