On Monday we learned that Whitney Houston‘s ex-husband Bobby Brown made his way to LA in an attempt to be with his grieving daughter Bobbi Kristina, who was hospitalized after she suffered a breakdown in the wake of her mother’s untimely death last Saturday. Today we learn that members of Houston‘s family are unhappy that Brown might attend Whitney‘s funeral this coming weekend and are reportedly telling him in no uncertain terms to stay away. Additionally, we are hearing that Brown has been deliberately kept from seeing his daughter Bobbi Kris, despite his numerous attempts at making contact. If all of this is to be believed, it seems that there are quite a few people in Whitney‘s family that do not think very highly of her ex.

Yesterday we learned the very sad news that Bobbi Kristina, the only begotten child of the late Whitney Houston, was rushed to the hospital in the wake of her mother’s sudden death last Saturday. Today we learn that Bobbi‘s father Bobby Brown has canceled his tour plans and has made his way to LA in order to be with his daughter. It is being reported that the Houston family is very concerned about Bobbi Kris‘s well-being … and they fear that she may resort to harming herself out of grief at the loss of her mother.

While many of us are struggling with the sudden and extremely tragic loss of Whitney Houston, I’m quite certain the pain is even more palpable for the family and friends who knew her. Almost immediately, touching tributes of love and remembrance started showing up on Twitter from many of Whitney‘s close, personal friends. Additionally, other artists who worked with Whitney on projects in the past were asked for comment on her passing. All together, these messages of love and loss formulate a very touching and heartfelt tribute to the amazing Whitney Houston. Bobby Brown and his latest babymama Alicia Etheridge were spotted enjoying a family day at The Grove here in LA earlier this week with their new son Cassius who was born earlier this year. As you may be aware, Cassius is Bobby‘s fifth child from at least 2 other babymamas (including ex-wife Whitney Houston). Here is a photo from their tender afternoon together:

To be honest, I can’t think of a worse scenario than having Bobby Brown as a father (particularly since he is notoriously not very good a keeping up with his child support payments) but at least he is being present for little Cassius … well, at least for now. I suppose it’s nice that he and Alicia are apparently still together … we’ll have to wait and see how long it lasts tho. Casissus is a cute little dude, tho. It can’t be easy to be one of Bobby Brown‘s numerous children so I’ll keep a good thought for the little man.

Bobby Brown, former popstar and husband of Whitney Houston, managed to give an impromptu live performance in Times Square, NYC this week at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill … it’s unclear if Bobby was booked to play an actual concert at the venue or if the brokeass couldn’t pay his bill and had to do something to pay his tab but there he was … on stage … singin’. Every time I see Bobby huffin’ and puffin’ on stage, trying to get thru a live performance, it always looks to me like he is on the brink of collapse. His rampant drug use is legendary so I don’t believe he is in the best shape physically … now that he’s not able to ride Whitney‘s coattails (nor does he have access to her riches) it looks like he’ll do any and everything he can to make a buck. At least he’s workin’ … now mebbe he’ll be able to keep up with his child support payments and can keep his ass out of jail.

New reports have begun to circulate that estranged couple Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown were spied canoodling together in public in their hometown of Atlanta, GA sparking rumors that the couple were planning to remarry. Whitney was, apparently, so appalled by these reports that she has decided to go on the record to VEHEMENTLY deny that she has any interest WHATSOEVER of rekindling her romance with Bobby. They are still dunzo, y’all:

Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown aren’t back on. Earlier this week, the Chicago Sun-Times reported that Houston and Brown had been spotted “looking very romantic” during recent dinner dates in Georgia and that their teenage daughter, Bobbi Kristina, was eager for her parents to remarry. But a rep for Houston tells The Associated Press that the report is “a complete fabrication.” Houston and Brown divorced in April 2007 after 14 years of marriage. Houston has custody of Bobby Kristina.

Whew! I was worried for a hot minute there. I love me some Whitney but she doesn’t always have the best judgment. I’m glad that she is still choosing to stay away from the very toxic Bobby Brown (let him find his Roni somewhere else). Just say no, gurl … just say no!
