Back in early January, we learned the sad news that married couple Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil were dunzo (on charges that Amy had committed adultery with another man while Blake was rotting in jail on charges that he attempted to pervert justice). Since the couple split, they had been living different lives … Blake in London, Amy in St. Lucia … but today, in a London courtroom, the couple’s marriage was officially ended in a hearing that took all of 75 seconds:

The 2-year marriage of Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil came to a formal end in a functional first floor courtroom in London Thursday. As one of 25 couples seeking to dissolve their marriages, Fielder-Civil, 27, was granted the divorce from Winehouse, 25, in a hearing that lasted all of 75 seconds, as the singer admitted adultery, court papers show. Neither she nor Fielder-Civil were at Court Three of the High Court Family Division in London’s Holborn area to hear District Judge Michael Segal grant the “quickie” divorce. In a question-and-answer format, the court papers show that it was Fielder-Civil who filed for the split. Asked if he finds it “intolerable” to live with Winehouse, he replies, “Yes.” And when asked to “state briefly your reasons for saying that the respondent has committed the adultery alleged,” he answers, “The Respondent confessed the adultery to me in April 2008.” The papers show they have not lived in the same household since that date. In her response, Winehouse is asked if she admitted “the adultery alleged in the petition.” She answers a simple “yes.” She adds that she is not intending to defend the case. The couple married in Miami May 2007. First talk of a divorce surfaced in January, when Fielder-Civil, a music-video producer, signaled he would start proceedings. The singer initially said she would not let it happen. Unless a dispute arises, the divorce will become final in six weeks.

What a sad way to end a marriage. But, in all honesty, a couple like Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil could only expect to end their relationship in abject sadness. Sadness and tragedy have plagued their lives from the very beginning … they were bad for each other when they were dating, they were worse for each other when they were married. Perhaps this ending can be a new beginning for both of them. Amy seems to have cleaned up her act in recent months (well, at the very least she doesn’t look as effed up as she used to look) and Blake, well, we can hope that Blake is getting his life in order after getting out of jail earlier this year. I wish nothing but the best for these tragic figures. It’s a new day, make the best of it.

A woman named Gilleen Morris is claiming to have had an illicit sexual affair with Amy’s soon-to-be ex-hubby Blake Fielder-Civil while the two of them were in rehab … and now she claims that she is pregs with his love child:

The News of the World revealed how furious Blake-jailed last July for assault and perverting justice-launched proceedings after seeing pictures of Amy snogging actor Josh Bowman on holiday in St Lucia. Since then Blake’s lawyers have been secretly negotiating a settlement out of court, with his mum Georgette branding Amy “a cheat” and “a trollop”, at the same time insisting her son was faithful. But today’s news that his secret lover is six weeks’ pregnant will throw the Fielder Civil divorce team in turmoil. Jobless heroin addict Gilleen of Northallerton, North Yorkshire, revealed how shamed jailbird Blake has already CONFESSED their fling to mum Georgette. He WANTS her involved in the pregnancy while he battles his drug dependencies ready BRING UP the baby himself. Blake has also begged Gilleen to avoid drugs for the sake of his unborn child’s health. “I was surprised how supportive he was,” said Gilleen. “I don’t think he’d say he’ll stand by me if he didn’t mean it. And if Amy wants to be a stepmum I wouldn’t mind, as long as she steered clear of drugs and self-harming. It’s also lovely that Blake’s mum wants to go with me to the hospital. It’s a nice gesture, but it will be nerve-racking meeting her for the first time, let alone explaining how this happened.”

Oh my! Now this is a sticky wicket for young Master Fielder-Civil. Should it turn out that he did, in fact, father this child out of wedlock I find it highly unlikely that he will be in any position to be asking for any substantial sum from his divorce from Amy. It seems to me that it would be best for Amy to stay her ass in St. Lucia, out of trubs and away from all of this drama, so that she can continue to get her life in order. Blake, well, he should prolly tend to his new baby if it turns out to be his. OY!!

Amy Winehouse’s soon-to-be ex-hubby Blake Fielder-Civil was released from incarceration today after finally completing his sentence after he was convicted of attempting to pervert justice in the UK. As you may recall, Blake was released for a short time late last year when he was transferred to a drug rehab half-way house but after he was found with drugs in his possession he got sent back to jail … as a result, Amy decided to divorce him (then hook up with a hottie) … and then she escaped to the Caribbean where she’s remained for the past couple of months. BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL is hugged by his mum GEORGETTE as he leaves jail for good. The estranged husband of AMY WINEHOUSE was freed from Edmunds Hill Prison in Suffolk at 10am this morning. Georgette greeted her son by putting his trademark trilby hat back on his head. The pair then walked arm-in-arm to the prison car park where a silver BMW was waiting to take them away. Blake was jailed for 27 months last July for assaulting a pub landlord and attempting to pervert the course of justice. He was freed into rehab last November, but was sent back to jail to complete his sentence a month later after failing a drugs test.

Here’s hoping the chap has learned his lesson about attempting to pervert justice and decides to really clean up his act. It would appear that Amy is serious about divorcing Blake as she made no attempt to be anywhere near his vicinity as he got released from jail. I seem to recall that Amy was very vocal about her displeasure at having her husband go to prison for his crimes (remember that big red heart thing that read Blake she had tacked to her beehive for weeks after his incarceration?) but no longer … these days, she’s more interested in nekkid Scrabble, smokin’ various things and random horseback rides. In the end, I think it’s for the best that the couple remain apart. Perhaps this can be a new beginning for both of them. I guess we’ll see.

Welp … it was bound to happen sooner or later … the fairytale love affair betwixt Amy Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil has finally run its course. Blake, who is currently STILL incarcerated in prison for attempting to pervert justice, has instructed his lawyers to begin divorce proceedings to end his marriage to troubled chanteuse Amy … they are dunzo, y’all!

Jailbird Blake Fielder-Civil has instructed a lawyer to begin divorce proceedings against Amy Winehouse after seeing pictures of the singer cavorting with another man in the Caribbean. Celebrity lawyer Henri Brandman told MailOnline that Blake had instructed him to launch the action on the grounds of Amy’s adultery. It is thought that Blake will go for half of Amy’s £10 million fortune. The move comes as loved-up Amy told a Sunday newspaper that she has finally kicked her drug habit. The star also admitted that she had “forgotten I’m even married” to Blake, claiming “our whole marriage was based on doing drugs”. The Back To Black singer is enjoying an extended Caribbean break on the paradise island of St Lucia and has been photographed kissing and cuddling 21-year-old Josh Bowman. She told the News of the World that she was off drugs for good and that public schoolboy Josh was her new drug. Contrary to earlier reports that she was waiting for Blake to join her on the island, the singer told the newspaper: “I love it here and have never felt so happy. In fact, I don’t think I’m ever going home. Especially as I met Josh here. He couldn’t be more different from my husband, which isn’t a bad thing.” She also branded Blake ‘rubbish in bed’, adding, “Almost every time I slept with him it was like I was dead”. During her stay at the luxury Le Sport resort in St Lucia, Amy told the newspaper how pictures of her at the height of her drug addiction had ‘horrified’ her. “My skin was a spotty mess and I was so pale and skinny. I thought to myself, ‘Girl, you got to sort yourself out or you’ll be dead soon.’ I was depressed, doing drugs and had no life in me at all. Coming here has changed everything.” Amy and Blake married in May 2007 in a surprise ceremony in the less-than-glamorous Miami-Dade County marriage licence bureau in Florida. The union angered Amy’s parents, Mitch and Janis. A series of setbacks then followed, with Blake being jailed for assault and trial fixing and Amy being filmed allegedly smoking a crack pipe. She has also been in and out of hospital after suffering what her representatives described as allergic reactions to prescription drugs. In December, Blake was sent back to jail – where he remains – having failed a drugs test.

Honestly, I believe that the dissolution of this marriage is prolly the best thing for both of them. They were doomed from the start and would prolly only regress back to their dangerous behavior if they did end up staying together. Amy hasn’t looked this healthy in ages and if her comments are to be taken seriously, then she is finally on the right path to a happy and long life ahead. Irregardless of whether or not she remains involved with hottie Josh Bowman, I think a clean break from Blake is the best way to move forward. Not that I’m trying to sanction his actions but it really looks as if Blake’s life just got ruined by being involved with Amy Winehouse. Sure he made some stupid decisions but had he not been involved with Amy in the first place, I don’t think he’d be in prison now … at least, not for the crimes he’s been committed of. Sadly, news of this divorce is prolly the best news for the both of them.

OH man … trainwreck Amy Winehouse is at it again. After taking a few months off from all the crazy, Amy has recently reemerged to resume her wacky ways … right in time with her husband Blake Fielder-Civil’s release from jail to rehab. Bright and early yesterday morning, Amy came out of her London home with gifts of cheese on toast and bottled drinks for the assembled paparazzi outside her door in order to trade them for use of a cell phone. Why an artist who is capable of making millions of dollars on her singing talents does not have a phone of her own is beyond me but there you have it. After the photogs allowed her to use their phone to call a friend, Amy allowed them to photograph her at will, showing off a rash that she developed on her arms after being released from the hospital (you will note she is still wearing her plastic hospital bracelet). Oh and she brought the paps flowers as well:

Seriously, the girl is tragic. Her husband, on the other hand, appears to be taking his sobriety seriously … after all, he has commit himself to a rehab program in order to get out of jail early (he was sentenced to almost a year in jail for attempting to pervert justice in the UK). It looks like rehab was a good choice for him because clearly he is not being confined to his rehab facility … apparently, he is allowed to walk free and clear as if he weren’t in custody at all. Let this be a lesson to all y’all … if you ever get locked up in jail and you are offered the chance to serve out your sentence in rehab, you should do it. Doesn’t it look like fun? In any event, Blake is basically free and so is Amy …

Yesterday we learned that Amy Winehouse’s husband Blake Fielder-Civil was released a month early from his conviction for attempting to pervert justice in the UK. Blake was allowed early release from incarceration on the grounds that he immediately enter into a rehab program. Amy, who has been in and out of hospitals in the past few weeks, was not on hand for her husband’s release because she had her own tragedy to deal with. While I am still skeptical that early release from jail in order to serve out the final month of a criminal sentence in rehab is really the right way to go about things, I am encouraged that Blake seems willing to get help. Of course, the decision to “get help” in a cushy rehab facility over renaming in a jail cell prolly made more to do about comfort rather than a genuine desire to “get help”, I’m willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. Now, if only Blake’s bride Amy would join him in this rehab facility so that they can “get help” together. Amy Winehouse is a poor shadow of the immense talent that she possesses and it is very sad to see her wither in front of our eyes. While it’s great to see that her father is involved in her life, I think she needs something stronger than parental supervision to get her act together.

After spending almost a year behind bars after being convicted of attempting to pervert justice in the UK, Amy Winehouse’s hubby Blake Fielder-Civil has been released from incarceration one month early on the condition that he spend a month in a rehab program. Amy, who has been going in and out of the hospital in the past few weeks, is currently out of the hospital and has been seen terrorizing the streets of London with a black make-up tear-stained face, lashing out at anyone who gets near her — oh, it must be Thursday:

Amy Winehouse’s husband was released from jail yesterday after almost a year behind bars for his part in a vicious assault on a pub landlord. Blake Fielder-Civil left Edmonds Hill prison in Suffolk at 8am looking pale and with his arms covered in red scars. The 26-year-old, who has fought a long battle with drug addiction, was not due to be released until next month but was freed after agreeing to attend rehab. Miss Winehouse herself was not there to meet him, leading to rumours of a rift between the pair. Winehouse, who left hospital on Monday after receiving ongoing treatment for a ‘chest infection’, looked far from jubilant as she emerged from the residence at 4pm this afternoon with make-up smeared across her face. She appeared to be in an agitated state, lunging at a photographer stationed outside her home shouting: “Who’s first? Who wants some?”. She refused to comment on her husband’s release. After attending a drugs and alcohol clinic Winehouse was pictured clutching a prescription and falling into a cab as she returned home, her face streaked with dirt and tears. A couple of hours later her father Mitch turned up at her flat and not long after a pizza delivery arrived. After they had eaten no-nonsense Mitch shepherded his subdued daughter to his cab. The singer appeared to have showered and to have changed her clothes after her father’s arrival. However, she was back to her erratic ways later in the evening, sucking on a male friend’s knuckle before later passing out in the back of a cab. Fielder-Civil was sentenced to 27 months in prison in July after assaulting barman James King, 36, outside a pub in East London and plotting to bribe him with £200,000 not to testify. He had already spent nine months in custody after his arrest in November last year. After leaving the prison, Fielder-Civil said: “Now all I want to do is see Amy. It’s tough inside – bloody horrible, but I’m out and that’s all that matters. It’s brilliant.” He added: “It’s welcome to the free world for me and Barack Obama.”

It remains to be seen if Blake has fully rehabilitated his criminal ways but a stint in rehab sounds like a cushy way to finish out one’s jail sentence. Amy, on the other hand, seriously needs to be locked away somewhere … seriously:

Whether or not there is a future for these two also remains to be seen. We’ll have to wait and see what happens after Blake gets released from rehab … you know, if Amy lives that long.
