Beauty is 'The Beast'
Nicholas Hoult Does ‘BlackBook’ Magazine

Hottie actor Nicholas Holt, who starred in the UK TV series Skins as well as the Tom Ford-directed film A Single Man, is featured in the new issue of BlackBook magazine … timed perfectly with the release of his new film X-Men: First Class (which opened in theaters today). As you can see from the photos below, not even a severe new hair’do can diminish the young man’s stunning beauty. Check out photos form his BlackBook photospread below.

“I have big ambitions. But I’m really quiet about it."
Kylie Minogue Does ‘BlackBook’ Magazine . . . Again

Kylie Minogue, who just launched a new look for her official website Kylie.com today, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of BlackBook magazine. In her coverstory interview, Kylie talks about her new album Aphrodite, her new single and music video for All the Lovers, the new musical she is working on and the big ambitions she keeps under wraps … Oh and she looks freaking fantastic in the accompanying photospread. Here is our first look at Kylie on the cover of BlackBook and some excerpts from her interview:

“The [All the Lovers] video came down to two treatments, including one that was a little gentler. But the general consensus was that we should go with the edgier option,” she says. Shaking her head, she adds, “I don’t exactly know how we’re going to pull it off.” It’s the mass of people, not the prospect of a little skin, that has Minogue worried. This is, after all, a woman who regularly uses and markets her sexuality to her advantage—even if that means being taken less seriously. “I have big ambitions,” says Minogue, once the most-groped wax figure at Madame Tussauds’ famed London gallery. “But I’m really quiet about it. What’s that saying? ‘Never let people know how much you know.’” Although she’s a shrewd business mogul, it’s Minogue’s body, rather than her brain, that generates the most buzz. Take, for example, her career comeback at the turn of the millennium—thanks, in large part, to a revealing pair of gold booty shorts … Aphrodite, executive produced by Stuart Price, the go-to wunderkind for artists from Madonna to New Order, is an important album for Minogue. It’s her first release since she toured America in 2009, and expectations are high that this will finally be the record that breaks her through, once and for all, into the U.S. market … “I don’t think I’ve ever felt like this about an album.” And it shows. “Although I’m not taking the title too literally,” she says, “Aphrodite is the goddess of love, and as far as the music goes, there’s a feeling of euphoria on this one.” Perhaps this new sound reflects her current state of mind? “Am I happy right now?” she asks. “What’s happy? I have moments of happiness and sometimes they’re even strung together, but I definitely have dark moments, too. Thankfully, those don’t last very long. I can go down very quickly, but I won’t stay there” … With William Baker, her creative partner for the past 16 years, Minogue is also at work on a new Mamma Mia!–style musical, weaving together her songs and an original story. “We’ve been talking about doing it forever,” she says. “I would like to get a couple of writers involved. I think we’ll probably co-direct it.” Laughing at the absurd loftiness of it all, she adds, “Don’t let us get bored for five minutes—we’ll come up with another project! My dad has always said since the very beginning, ‘Kylie, you know you can say no to any of this. You can walk away from the whole thing if you want.’ But I’m a people-pleaser. ‘No’ doesn’t come naturally to me.”

As you may recall, Kylie was previously featured in BlackBook magazine last August but this time, she’s the featured cover star! The fairly long BlackBook interview HERE gives a nice overview of Kylie‘s entire career, mostly interesting to folks who aren’t too familiar with her work. I, for one, would’ve liked more focus and more details about her new projects … but I am not complaining at all. Especially after getting to check out her amazing BlackBook magazine photospread — which you can check out, after the jump …

"Being the next Jamie would be fine!"
Neve Campbell Talks To ‘Blackbook Magazine’ About ‘Scream 4’

BlackBook magazine has posted a new interview online with Neve Campbell wherein she talks at some length about the much-anticipated upcoming sequel film Scream 4 as well as her other work (Party of Five and, yes, the very LOL-worthy Wild Things). As you may recall, that we learned back in July that Courteney and David Arquette signed on to appear in Scream 4 and then in September we learned that Neve Campbell, THE Scream star, finally agreed to sign on for the film as well. Now she’s talkin’ about the upcoming film … and more:

Ontario-born actress Neve Campbell first found fame on Fox’s Party of Five before perfecting her little “girl lost in horror, blood and gore act” in The Craft, playing a teen witch even though she was in her early 20s at the time. Looking perennially younger than she actually is, Neve moved on to even greater fame amongst a new generation of slasher flick fans as Sidney Prescott in the Scream trilogy, the most successful psychological horror genre films of all time. Thrillingly, the four are due to reunite for Scream 4 which is scheduled to start filming in the spring. Campbell has lived, almost secretly, in London for the last five years with her actor husband John Light, a Brit. Indeed: these days the 36 year-old actress is such a fully paid-up Anglophile, even Madonna and Gwyneth would be impressed. Maybe even shown up.

You seem to be very settled living in London these days. Would you consider yourself an Anglophile?
Absolutely! I’ve lived in leafy Islington for five years now. I lived in LA for 13 years, but it just didn’t suit me. I’m from Toronto and I’m really used to a city I can walk around in, I guess. After I saw Crash, I realized: it’s true. People only really meet in LA when they get out of their cars. It’s a very isolating city. I have to be a little careful in London with the attention of the paparazzi. But on the whole, people are very respectful.

Do you ever feel drawn to horror films due to your legacy in them?
I’m very thankful for the Scream movies. They were fantastic for my career. Do I fear being pigeonholed for making this genre of movie? Not really. I’ve had a good ride, career-wise.

So you don’t think you are in any danger of becoming the next Jamie Lee Curtis of the shock-horror world?
Being the next Jamie would be fine! (laughs) In fact, we start shooting Scream 4 in mid-April. I’m so happy that those of us still “alive” from 1, 2 and 3 like David (Arquette) and Courtney (Cox) have already signed up to take part.

Did you all stay in touch after the trilogy had wrapped?
Oh, yes. Completely. I haven’t spoken to them in a while. I’m sure it took a while to convince them to take part [in the picture], especially because they’re now a very happy family ,and of course, it was a long journey for them. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun, and a lot like going back to summer camp.

What else can you tell us about Scream 4?
I’m pretty sure at this stage that Wes [Craven] is back on board to direct and Kevin [Willamson] is definitely writing it…so it is going to be great.

So you haven’t been sent a script yet, then?
No. Not yet. They had to wait for us all to sign on. I suppose that’s the way these days!

What’s the key to playing Sidney?
Physically speaking, it’s all about working the bob! And the only way I can achieve that properly every day on set is through Tara Smith hair products. Seriously, if Tara didn’t cut and style my hair in an amazing girly way to re-create the Sidney look, I wouldn’t have a starting point [for the character]. I’m not kidding. Hers are the only products I can use without killing my hair and skin, as they are 100% organic and free of chemicals.

You sound like a big fan!
Honestly, your readers should try them and get the Sidney bob to hold for when the film comes out next year! Once I’ve got the hairstyle, the character of Sidney definitely comes back to me.

Work-wise, what’s next for you before shooting Scream in the Spring?
Well, I’m always trying to find a great new scam to avoid the dark, damp British winters if I can! So, I’ve just signed up to do a movie in Sydney, Australia starting in December.

OK, so granted there still ain’t much (well, anything) to talk about as far as Scream 4 is concerned but the fact that we are hearing anything at all about the film is very exciting. I am SO excited for this new sequel film … which, I understand, may be the start of a whole new trilogy of films :) But, yes, Neve had other things to talk about with BlackBook … including the new film she’s about to start filming. After the jump, read the rest of Neve‘s BlackBook interview to see what else she has to say these days …

Kylie Minogue Does ‘BlackBook’ Magazine

Kylie Minogue is featured in the new issue of BlackBook magazine this month wherein she talks, of course, about her upcoming first-ever North American tour set to kick off in Oakland, CA next month. Kylie‘s accompanying 2-photo spread showcases her wonderfully chic style, including her penchant for wearing half-masks (like the one she sometime wears in concert). Behold, the Phantom of the Popera:

Kylie Minogue has nothing to prove. She’s the sweetheart of just about every nation in the world. Countless European tabloid covers have devoted serious headline space to her romance with Italian pin-up Andrés Velencoso, 10 years her junior. The mini-divinity has not one, but five fragrances. She was even honored with the prestigious Order of the British Empire and the French Order of Arts and Letters. So why, exactly, has Minogue’s career not taken off Stateside? Maybe it’s because she hasn’t toured in North America since first chugging along to “The Loco- Motion” in 1987. Even Neighbours, the TV soap opera that gave birth to her illustrious career, was broadcast almost exclusively for Australian and European audiences. But all that’s about to change as the gamine, 41-year-old entertainer from Down Under takes her spectacular live show this side of the pond for the first time ever. Through each endeavor and incarnation—from Charlene, the garage mechanic on Neighbours, to the early-’90s shiny bubblegum-pop princess and the moody soul-searcher alongside Nick Cave, to the breast cancer survivor and activist—Kylie stays Kylie. Both sexy and likeable, she is the diva-next-door.

Wee!! Love, love, love her … and this interview, while not too terribly enlightening, is very cute. I am so happy that she is getting press here in the US … first it was Instinct magazine and now BlackBook. I actually found out about this BlackBook interview by way of Kylie‘s official Twitter account (she has recently joined Twitter and has been posting pretty regularly). After the jump, check out Kylie‘s BB interview and check out a couple of her personal photos that she posted to her Twitter profile …

Goes a little GaGa?
Nicole Richie Does ‘BlackBook’ Magazine

Nicole Richie, who just launched her first official website HERE, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new Music issue of BlackBook magazine. Depending on your point of view, in this new photospread she is either lookin’ a lot like Xtina Aguilera, a lot like Lady GaGa or a lot like Xtina Aguilera ripping off Lady GaGa. Here is Nicole‘s new BlackBook magazine coverphoto:

She looks great … and, yes, she looks a lot like the latest looks from both Xtina and GaGa. After the jump, check out the rest of the photos from this photospread and be prepared for a lot of neon brashness …
