Popstar Beyoncé gave birth to her firstborn child, Blue Ivy, a little over a week ago and except for a joint announcement released by Bey and hubby Jay-Z, the new mom has not commented publicly to the press … until now. Strangely, the British version of Star magazine claims that they managed to somehow get the FIRST interview with new mom Beyoncé since she gave birth earlier this month. I have to say … not only does it sound strange to me that Bey is already giving interviews (just over a week after the birth of her firstborn baby) but it seems really odd that she would give her first interview to UK Star magazine. Everyone wants their girlfriends around, especially at times like when you’ve just had a baby. It is so wonderful to see that Beyonce is still so close with her girls, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland. They spoke to People Mag about how Bey is doing… and of course, “she’s doing fabulous.”

BUT … what about the pimped out birthing suite that B-Jay paid a reported $1+ million for? Earlier this week Trent revealed some pretty massive dramas going on with Lennox Hill Hospital, where Beyonce gave birth to baby Blue Ivy. Extremely tight security had led to other new parents allegedly being prevented from visiting their newborn babies. We were all up in arms, despite our love for B-Jay and the new princess. As we should all know by now, Beyoncé and hubby Jay-Z welcomed the birth of their blessed first born child late Saturday night at Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC … a darling little girl they named Blue Ivy. While many folks inside B-Jay‘s inner circle are extolling the “beauty” of princess Blue Ivy, today we learn of the ugly side of the baby girl’s birth. In order to keep a tight lock on security surrounding Beyoncé giving birth, Lennox Hill Hospital reportedly gave Beyoncé and Jay-Z‘s security detail the power to regulate who was allowed where inside the hospital. As a result, reports say, other families were BARRED from having access to their just-born children in the intensive care unit — because they were NOT allowed to go anywhere in the hospital near Beyoncé and her baby. Damn.

We are all still so excited about the B-Jay bub news!!! Even though it has been a day or so the news is still as exciting as ever!!!!!!!!! We are still waiting for pics (wonder how long that’ll take!) and official confirmation of the little girl’s name, but lots of speculation is going around about what the significance is of the sweet name Blue Ivy!

E! News is reporting that Beyoncé and hubby Jay-Z have welcomed into the world their first child together. After many weeks of rumor and speculation over whether or not Bey gave birth or not, E! is reporting today that she has — in fact — given birth. As you may recall, we saw photos yesterday of Beyoncé out and about in NYC still very much pregnant … but at some point last night, it is being reported, she gave birth to a baby girl by C-section.
