The new wife and mom gets back to business
Bethenny Frankel Gets Back To Reality TV Work

New wife and new mom Bethenny Frankel, one of the stars of Bravo TV‘s The Real Housewives of NYC, was spotted on the streets of Manhattan today filming new scenes for one of her reality TV shows. In addition to starring in Real Housewives, Bethenny will also star in a show of her very own called Bethenny Getting Married. Here are pics of the jubilant reality TV star filming scenes today:

Doesn’t she look fantastic? And, hello, she just gave birth a few weeks ago … homegirl is lookin’ real good. But, as cool as these photos are, I think the photo we saw on Tuesday of Bethenny with her baby girl Bryn Casey is even cuter still. Since the season finale of The Real Housewives of NYC airs next week, I’m thinkin’ these new scenes are for Bethenny Getting Married. I have to say, Bethenny is my fave NYC housewife so I’m really excited to see her new show … are you?

Bethenny & baby
Meet Bryn Casey Frankel-Hoppy

Earlier this month we learned that Real Housewife of NYC Bethenny Frankel gave birth to a baby girl she named Bryn Casey (just in time for Mother’s Day) and today, courtesy of People magazine, we get to meet the little darling. Here is our first look at Bryn Casey with proud/happy momma Bethany Frankel:

Even though her daughter is only 2½ weeks old, Bethenny Frankel can already see one similarity between her newborn and herself. “She has my E.T. toes,” says Frankel, pointing to Bryn Casey Hoppy‘s little pink feet. “They are so long!” Frankel, the star of Real Life Housewives of New York City, always tells it like it is — even when discussing her baby’s early delivery on Saturday, May 8. Waking Jason Hoppy up around 6 a.m. some five weeks before their first child was due to tell him her water broke, Frankel immediately called the doctor and told her husband to pack their bags. In his excitement, Hoppy instead started ringing up a few friends. “Her water broke — we’re having a baby!” he announced. A laboring Frankel countered: “We don’t have a baby. We have a puddle.” Looking back, she laughs, “I told him to get a pen and paper and get organized!” The couple rushed to the hospital. “All I wanted was a bagel and the doctor [told me] I couldn’t eat,” she recalls. “And for two days, I couldn’t.” After some 30 hours of labor, doctors recommended a c-section to deliver baby Bryn. “She came out like a little doll,” Frankel, 39, says of seeing her daughter for the first time. “It was amazing.”

This People article, which goes on HERE, reveals that Bryn‘s name was chosen in honor of daddy Jason Hoppy‘s late brother Bryan who was tragically killed in a car accident 19 years ago. I can’t think of a more beautiful way to honor the memory of a loved one. Bryn is such a beautiful little baby … Bethenny looks OVER the moon!! Congrats and love goes out to the Frankel-Hoppy family once more on the happy birth of their beautiful daughter. Ain’t she just the most precious little thing?

Hoppy Mother's Day!
Bethenny Frankel Gives Birth To A Baby Girl

Congratulations are in order for Bethenny Frankel and hubby Jason Hoppy who today at around 8AM ET Saturday morning welcomed the birth of a baby girl they have named Bryn Casey.

I will update this post with new information as soon as it becomes available (and when I can get to a computer, cuz right now I’m in a car on my way to the airport) but I wanted to post a hearty Congrats! to the happy family on their new addition!!!

Congrats and LOVE and welcome to the world Bryn Casey Frankel-Hoppy! And to you Bethenny, Happy Mother’s Day!!!

UPDATE: Here are the deets on baby Bryn‘s birth from People magazine:

“Bethenny and Jason are proud to welcome their new baby girl, Bryn Hoppy, born at 8 a.m. . . . in New York City,” the rep says. “She is a 4 lb. 12 oz., healthy baby. Bryn, mom, dad and [their dog] Cookie are all very happy.” Frankel and Hoppy, who were married March 28, were surprised to know the baby’s sex. “Jason won’t let me find out because he knows I’ll spoil it,” she told PEOPLE in an interview about her pregnancy. She did, however, Tweet, “I had a dream it was a girl.” So, it seems, dreams do come true!

Bethenny also managed to update her official Twitter profile after she gave birth to her baby girl, she tweeted:

I can’t express how happy I am&how beautiful,supportive&thoughtful u all are.Bryn is a tiny beautiful peanut.new chapter begins.thank you.

So … that’s all the official stuff we know thus far about baby Bryn Casey. Again, much love and congrats goes out to Bethenny and Jason on the arrival of Bryn. I’m certain today will be the BEST Mother’s Day ever for the happy family.

Hoppy-ly Ever After
Bethenny Frankel’s Nuptials As Featured In ‘OK!’ Magazine

On Monday we learned that Bethenny Frankel, castmember of The Real Housewives of NYC, got hitched to Jason Hoppy in a lavish wedding Sunday afternoon that was taped for the upcoming new reality TV show Bethenny’s Getting Married. Today, courtesy of OK! magazine, we get our first look at the actual nuptials themselves in a sneak peek of the affair before it is broadcast on TV later on this year:

When Bethenny Frankel of The Real Housewives of New York City said “I do” to Jason Hoppy at the Four Seasons in NYC last weekend, OK! was there to witness firsthand as the two lovebirds celebrated their love in front of their closest family and friends. From the Amsale dress to the Kristen Farrell rings, the Pink Cake Box’s red velvet cake to elegant atmosphere by Shawn Rabideau Events and Design, every detail was perfect … “It’s so cliché, but it was the best night of my life!” the reality star tells OK!. “It was just like Jason and me — sentimental, fun, absurd at times. I didn’t know it was possible to be this happy.”

It’s really fantastic to see Bethenny look so happy. The poor woman has spent her whole life working so hard and lookin’ for love in all the wrong places, you can’t help but cheer for her that she finally found her Prince Charming. I kinda also love that Bethenny got married while being pregs … I guess when it rains, it pours! It really seems like she’s found all the things in live that she’s been lookin’ for. I wish her and hubby Hoppy a lifetime of wedded bliss! Head over to OK! magazine’s site to see the rest of these fun wedding pics.

The 'Real Housewives' star becomes a real housewife
Bethenny Frankel & Jason Hoppy Got Hitched!

Congratulations are in order for Bravo TV reality star Bethenny Frankel, the formerly unlucky in love sole single castmember (ie. never married) of The Real Housewives of NYC, and her new hubby Jason Hoppy who got themselves hitched in Manhattan yesterday! Bethenny, knocked up and fabulous, finally said I Do to the man of her dreams … which was NOT filmed for airing on RHONYC later in the season. We’re gonna have to wait until Frankel‘s own spin-off show, Bethenny’s Getting Married, debuts on Bravo TV later this year. Here are a couple photos of the just-weds as they made their way out of their boisterous wedding reception last night and some deets from the affair:

Bravo, Bethenny! Real Housewives of New York City’s Bethenny Frankel and her beau Jason Hoppy were married at the Four Seasons in New York on Sunday. “I’m a real housewife!” Frankel tweeted on Monday morning. “On way to honeymoon. best night of my life. your messages were so beautiful & sentimental. have a great week tweeps!” The couple’s guests included Frankel’s castmates Alex McCord and Ramona Singer and Today show co-host Hoda Kotb. Singer tells PEOPLE the wedding was “amazing – the Rolls Royce of weddings!” Guests dined on lobster ravioli, sirloin steak and fish, and a red velvet wedding cake. The night “was full of emotion and laughter – a beautiful wedding,” said a friend of Frankel’s. Frankel, 39, who is seven months pregnant, has been with Hoppy, a businessman, since late 2008. She found out she was pregnant last October, and wanted to get married before becoming a mom. She said at the time: “I got engaged, we got pregnant, and we’re gonna get married. It’s a miracle.” Bravo’s cameras were on hand at the wedding to capture the occasion for Frankel’s upcoming Housewives spin-off, Bethenny’s Getting Married.

I honestly never understood how Bethenny got cast on the show in the first place … she’s was not a housewife at all and yet, she was cast on a show about housewives. Still, she’s among my fave characters on the show. I’m glad she’s finally coming into her own … it’s about time she stop being the “underdog” and become the star she’s meant to be. Congrats to her and hubby Jason … next up, the birth of their baby. Bethenny‘s life seems really great right now … I hope she enjoys it and wish the Hoppys a lifetime of happiness! Mazel Tov!

Bare-ly there
Bethenny Frankel From ‘The Real Housewives Of New York City’ Goes Naked For PETA

Bethenny Frankel, one of the stars of Bravo TV‘s The Real Housewives of New York City who ironically is not a housewife at all, is featured in the new anti-fur ad campaign for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Bethenny was on hand to unveil her new poster in NYC in person:

Commuters passing through New York’s Times Square will get a surprising welcome upon seeing a giant billboard plastered with an image of a nude Bethenny Frankel. The “Real Housewives of New York” star bared all for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals’ newest “I’d Rather go Naked” campaign, in which the reformed fur wearer posed au naturel in front of the Manhattan skyline. Though her slim figure is on display, Frankel was actually pregnant at the time of the September photo shoot shot by celebrity photographer Joseph Cultice atop a luxury high-rise building in the lower East Side. The reality star, now three months pregnant with her first child with fiancé Jason Hoppy, says she changed her fur-wearing ways after encountering a PETA protester holding a “skinned animal.” “It made me sick. I felt disgusting,” she told the animal rights organization. “I’m cleaning out my closets — trim, everything. I’m a really big animal lover. I don’t see any reason for cruelty.” The natural foods chef and reality star, 39, will return for the third season of “Housewives” as well as star in her own upcoming Bravo series.

Bethenny looks good … it’s hard to believe that she is even pregs in this photo. She must’ve been, like, a day pregnant when she posed for this photo. After the jump, check out Bethenny‘s full-size PETA poster which, you can imagine, is semi-NSFW …

“I couldn’t be gayer!” - Andy Cohen
Bravo TV’s ‘Real Housewives’ Join Andy Cohen On The Cover Of ‘The Advocate’

A Real Housewife of New York City, New Jersey and Atlanta each is featured on the cover of the new issue of The Advocate magazine along with Bravo TV programming honcho Andy Cohen. Cohen speaks openly and frankly with the mag about being an out and proud man in the TV biz, lookin’ very much like the gay Ward Cleaver alongside his Housewives:

“I couldn’t be gayer.” As Andy Cohen makes this proclamation, he couldn’t be prouder. It’s 9:30 a.m., and the Bravo executive is in a seersucker suit, seated in a Sirius XM Radio studio in midtown Manhattan. He’s a guest on The Gayle King Show and has been asked to sound off on Whitney Houston’s highly anticipated comeback, a topic he’s thrilled to discuss. From Madonna to Sandra Bernhard to the ubiquitous Real Housewives his network is churning out, Cohen loves his divas. Tieless, the top two buttons of his lavender shirt left open, his hands circling through the air, he is on. His excitement about Whit’s new album is not unlike that of a 15-year-old girl gushing over the Jonas Brothers at her cafeteria lunch table. Then, as if they were tasked with proving Cohen’s previous statement, he and King start to sing along to Houston’s new single, “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength.” Cohen sways in his chair, snaps his fingers, and swings his head back and forth in front of the mike. Watching the silver-haired, impeccably tan, 41-year-old former CBS News producer surrender to his inner pop tart, you’d have to agree — this man couldn’t be gayer.

Ugh .. that’s about all of Cohen‘s interview that I could stomach, if you are interested … you can read the rest of it HERE. While I generally love Andy Cohen (something about his crossed/wonky eye is kinda cute), I find that he tends to really irritate me when exposed to him for long periods of time. His late-night talk show Watch What Happens is kinda painful to watch, mainly because he tends to bug. That being said, the man is a reality TV genius … he consistently comes up with really fun programming that I just can get enough of (The Real Housewives, Top Chef, Tabitha’s Salon Make-over, Project Runway). True, some of Bravo‘s reality programming sucks balls (Miami Social, Millionaire Match-Maker, The Rachel Zoe Project) but overall, Bravo has become THE home of fun and entertaining reality TV. While I feel that Andy‘s fame may be going to his head just a touch, I hope he continues to bring the entertainment … if he starts believing they hype that he’s the star, he may lose his eye for finding great new TV programming. Methinks Mr. Cohen should stay behind the scenes where he’s been more successful rather than in the spotlight where he is decidedly much less of a success.

Hats on parade
Celebs Invade Churchill Downs For The Kentucky Derby

Celebs of varying degree and caliber made their way out to the Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY for the 135th Kentucky Derby to bet on the horses, drink their mint julips and show off their fancy hats. Here are a few pics of some of the celebs who walked the red carpet at the Derby today:

I gotta say, I love Betheny from The Real Housewives of NYC (mostly because she isn’t a housewife at all and still manages to make that show work … oh yeah, and she’s about 10 secs. away from beating the shizz out of Kelly Bensimone) but I totally hate her entire outfit. I don’t know what she was thinking by wearing that bell-bottomed pantsuit but … yeah. Everyone else looked pretty OK with their snazzy hats. Because of the failing US economy, there is much less glitz at this year’s Derby but still, the celebs are makin’ it work. I don’t know shizz about horse racing but I can appreciate any event where the women are compelled to wear the most ostentatious hats they can find for our mere amusement. No Aretha Franklin hat sightings just yet … but I’ll keep my eye out.
