Jennifer Garner, who gave birth to her second child in January, joined her husband Ben Affleck as they picked up their eldest daughter Violet Anne from pre-school and ventured out for a shopping excursion … and they brought along newborn daughter Seraphina Rose Elizabeth for the ride. After a bit of a false alarm last week when it was believed that Jennifer Garner was being admitted to the hospital to give birth to her second child only to learn that she was in and out and on the streets of Beverly Hills, CA shopping with her firstborn child Violet later the same day … comes news today that Jen finally gave birth to baby #2 here in SoCal last night. Jen and hubby Ben Affleck welcomed their second daughter into the world yesterday afternoon:

Jennifer Garner and husband Ben Affleck have welcomed their second daughter, PEOPLE confirms exclusively. The actress’s rep says: “Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck gave birth to a healthy baby girl.” The baby was born Tuesday in Los Angeles. No other details were immediately available. Garner and Affleck, both 36, are also parents to daughter Violet, 3 … Former Alias costar and close friend Victor Garber says the actress needs no help in the mommy department. “It’s her second child,” Garber told PEOPLE. “She knows what to do. She’s probably the best mother I’ve ever witnessed.”

Aww, much love and congrats to the happy family. I suspect that the child has been named but the public has not been made privy to that information just yet, prolly so that the extended family can be notified first. I’m sure we’ll be hearing the name shortly … considering that they named their firstborn daughter Violet, I wouldn’t be surprised if they followed the flower theme with this new baby. I do hope, tho, that the couple stay away from any fug flower names like Tulip … which is not only kinda terrible but it’s already been done in Hollywood. Perhaps Begonia or Bougainvillea? Those are lovely flower names, yes? Whatever the child is named, I wish she and the entire Garner-Affleck family a long and very happy life together. Congrats again!!

Earlier this week, on New Year’s Eve, new photos came out of Ben Affleck escorting a pained-looking and very pregs wife Jennifer Garner to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center which led some to believe that she was being admitted to give birth to her second child. It turns out that the doctor visit was prolly just a routine check-up cuz later on in the day, Jen was seen doing a bit of shopping at Williams-Sonoma with her firstborn child Violet Anne:

I must admit that I, too, thought for sure that Jen was gonna drop her load at Cedars when I first saw these pics of Bennifer 2.0 arriving at the hospital. 2009 will see the birth of a new Bennifer child … but just not yet.

Woot! A new day has dawned here in America … and the World … and while there is still much to celebrate, there is also much work to get done in the aftermath. It’s also time to get back to the goss ;) Yesterday I created a photo album of friends and Pink readers proudly showing off the I Voted stickers (or handmade signs) that they were given after they voted yesterday and today we get to see a whole bunch of photos of celebs showing off their I Voted stickers, too. Americans came out in record numbers to vote yesterday and those numbers included celebs … here are a few of them who exercised their right to vote yesterday:

I’m pretty sure that some of these celebs were voting for President for the first time in their lives and it seems pretty safe to assume that the lion’s share of them added to President-elect Barack Obama’s historic win.

Days after the rumor broke that Jennifer Garner is pregs with her second child and moments after we got our first glimpse at her possible baby bump, Jen and hubby Ben Affleck were snapped house-hunting together. Even tho the couple haven’t officially confirmed the news that they are pregs, it seems pretty likely that the couple are interested in a bigger home for their possibly expanding family. Curiously, Jen was wearing an over-sized sweatjacket in the blistering SoCal heat … a baby bump to hide, perhaps?

The couple were scoping out new homes in the Brentwood, CA area and seemed to take a particular liking to this one. All signs to point to a pregnancy … now all we have to do is wait for the official confirmation. I sincerely hope that Bennifer 2.0 aren’t planning on playing the coy game of denial … it’s gonna be a pretty brutal August in SoCal, wearing a sweatjacket is not advised.

In a show of unity and togetherness (or perhaps just because they were merely hungry) celeb couples and BFFs Jennifer Garner & Ben Affleck and Matt Damon & Luciana Barroso stepped out for a double date dinner at Nobu in Malibu, CA over the weekend. Last week, a new rumor started going around that Ben and Jen are having trubs in their marriage (sound familiar?) which the couple have already denied (100%) so maybe this public outing was a way of showing the world that they are still happily together cuz, you know, they like eating together. More likely, the couples got together for a little pre-anniversary celebration for Bennifer 2.0 — their 3 year wedding anniversary was yesterday. Here are a few pics of the happy couples making their way out of Nobu this past Saturday night:

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck met up with Matt Damon and his heavily pregnant wife, Luciana Barroso, at Nobu Malibu on Saturday night for a two-hour dinner on the patio that included cooked fish and sushi rolls. “Ben and Matt were entertaining the girls with stories, and they were all laughing a lot,” says an observer of the couples. When dessert came, the celebratory group toasted – after all, Garner and Affleck’s third wedding anniversary was the following day. “Jen and Ben were in a great mood, and they left Nobu hand in hand,” says the observer.

They’re fine, I’m convinced of it. No smoke, no fire — just some friends having a nice dinner out … and if some photogs happen to snap them all holding hands, well, all the better. Happy Anni, Bennifer 2.0.

I love that Ben is getting little Violet all addicted to Starbucks already … she is well on her way to becoming a bona fide Hollywood “It” Girl. I must say, tho, that the sight of these two together is just too cute for words. Violet looks exactly like her mommy Jennifer Garner. I hope we get to see more pics of Ben and Violet on future excursions together … they make a great pair.
