Earlier today we saw cute photos of Alyson Hannigan, hubby Alexis Denisof and little Satyana doing a bit of trick-or-treating here in SoCal and right now we get to see photos of Hugh Jackman and his family — wife Deborra-Lee Furness, son Oscar Maximillian and daughter Ava Eliot — doing some trick-or-treating of their own in NYC:

As you can see, Hugh and the fam were a hodge-podge of mismatched costumes … well, except for Halloweenie Deborra-Lee who didn’t really dress up at all (Boo!) … but it was what Hugh Jackman was wearing that caught my eye. No, not his old timey costume … it’s the accessories he is wearing that made me take a closer look. After the jump, get a better/closer look at Hugh‘s new look — brace yourselves, it’s quite a change for the hottie heartthrob …

Despite the fact that NYC is currently dealing with a massive infestation of bed bugs right now, Hugh Jackman thought it would be a good idea to lay down on a discarded mattress he encountered on the street while out for a stroll with his daughter Ava Eliot:

Now, I love me some Hugh Jackman … a lot, actually … but I cannot even imagine the grossness that he may’ve come in contact with by laying his entire body on that mattress. Forget the bed bugs (even tho their numbers are reaching new heights in NYC these days), the mind boggles at what other substances could’ve been seeped in that mattress … on the street! Let’s just hope, for Hugh‘s sake, that he didn’t come into contact with anything …. infectious. Ew.

Last week we saw photos of Hugh Jackman celebrating his 42nd birthday in NYC with his wife and children (lookin’ about as adorable as possible) and today we get to see even CUTER photos of Hugh enjoying a playdate with his kiddies over the weekend. As you can see, Oscar Maximillian and Ava Eliot have got themselves a pretty fun dad to play with:

Are you kidding me with these photos? OY! So adorable, I can’t even stand it. Photos like these are actually pretty standard where Hugh Jackman is concerned. It’s actually very rare to see any photos of Hugh out with his kids without any personal contact with one or both of his children. He is a very hands on dad and it’s clear from the looks on his kids’ faces that they really appreciate his love and attention. Sigh. Hugh Jackman sure looks like a fun daddy, don’t he?

In celebration of his 42nd birthday yesterday, hottie Hugh Jackman decided to spend part of his special day celebrating in the company of the most important ladies in his life … his wife Deborra-Lee and his daughter Ava Eliot. There is no question that Hugh loves spending time with his family, so it should come as no surprise to see him out and about with his wife and daughter … even on days when it’s not his birthday, Hugh seems very happy to spend all of his free time with his family. I’m certain that Hugh Jackman had a very Happy 42nd Birthday because he was able to spend it with his fam … but let’s send a little extra belated Birthday Lurve to one of our fave Hollywood hunks just in case ;)

It’s been a few months since we’ve seen photos of Hugh Jackman and his family out and about together but with a new school year comes new opportunities to see photos of the Jackmans together in public. This week, Hugh and wife Deborra-Lee Furness walked their daughter Ava Eliot home from school and they looked like a very happy, very loving family:

It is always nice to see a doting dad in action … especially one as hawt as Hugh Jackman. It’s also nice to see photos of Hugh and wife Deborra-Lee out in public together. We don’t usually get to see Mrs. Jackman out with her hubby so it’s a nice change of pace to see the family all together. Only son Oscar Maximillian is missing … but he’s getting a bit too big to be walked home from school with is parents and little sister. It is always a happy day when we get to see such a happy family lookin’ so happy together.

I can attest, yesterday was a spectacularly beautiful day in NYC so I’m certain the family had LOTS of amazing weather to enjoy. Altho Ava looks a bit perturbed in her photo, I know that the kids had a great time with their every doting daddy. I mean … how could they not? Hugh was wearing shorts and everything! Looks like a helluva good time to me :)

Hugh Jackman and his adorable daughter Ava Eliot were spotted on the streets of NYC this week lookin’ about as cute as can be … and then they got even cuter! After Hugh gave Ava a sweet kiss on the hand, she gave him a kiss back on the cheek … and then they went for ice cream!

Sooo cute. While Ava looks like she wasn’t have the best day ever, at least her daddy was there to kiss and make the bad stuff go away (tho, I bet the ice cream didn’t hurt either). These two are just the cutest father/daughter ever. I love them, don’t you?

New York City got dumped on again by another load of snow last night leaving much of the city crippled today … but for Hugh Jackman and his children Oscar Maximilian and Ava Eliot, well, the latest dumping is cause for jubilant celebration:

While I’m certain the vast majority of NYers are sick and tired of the snow (which we, here in LA, are gloriously without) I’d be willing to bet that the Jackmans are not only thrilled with all the snow they’ve been getting this Winter … they prolly are hoping for more! Let’s hope for the sanity of our friends in the Big Apple, their presumed wishes don’t come true ;)

Hugh‘s sweet attentiveness to his children is such a delight to see. I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of seeing this kind of affection from the Jackman fam. I think I like seeing these kinds of pics so much because I remember when my mom used to walk me to school. Hugh Jackman seems like the perfect father, his kids are very lucky :)
