As far as I’m aware, none of AnnaLynne’s 90210 castmates made it out for the shindig … but it really didn’t matter cuz AnnaLynne seemed quite happy to frolic and play with her sisters. I assume there was a birthday cake on the premises but there was no indication that it was eaten … at least, not by AnnaLynne. In any event, it appears that a fun time was had by all! She has an “angel” of a boyfriend, Dutch bass player Martyn Lenoble, “who loves me from head to toe.” She has a cozy Malibu beach house that she calls “the best thing I’ve ever done for myself.” And, after a very public battle with breast cancer that has given her a gratifying “feeling of purpose,” Christina Applegate has a new lease on life. “I used to be really shy but I started to come into my own in my late 20s and early 30s,” Applegate, 37, tells PEOPLE in the cover interview for the annual Most Beautiful issue – her first interview since her reconstructive breast surgery last November. “Now I’m not afraid to speak up in a room full of people and be a part of the conversation.” The Samantha Who? star says she’s finding balance and embracing her body after undergoing a double mastectomy in July. “You have to get through the physical transformations then buck up, go to work and try to be the normal, happy Christina for everyone around you,” she says. One source of strength has been Lenoble. “He’s been a friend for about 13 years,” Applegate says. “Our relationship gets stronger and stronger. I’m really lucky.” And, more importantly, he makes the actress feel “beautiful” about her new body. “I’m very grateful to Martyn for coming along at a time that he did because he’s been my rock through all of this,” Applegate says. “He gave me something to really want to live for and something to smile about.”

Considering the life-changing effect that enduring a double mastectomy has on a woman, I am very impressed with Christina’s attitude about her beauty (which is on full display in this issue of People magazine). I, for the life of me, cannot imagine what it must be like to survive a bout with cancer so my hat is off to her in that respect. I suppose congrats are in order for being named by People magazine as one of the 100 Most Beautiful People. But, there are 99 other folks who have been deemed beautiful by People — after the jump, check out a few of those pretty faces …

There is no denying that each one of these people is beautiful but I gotta question the selection choice of some of these photos. The 90210 girls were photographed without make-up (on purpose) but the photo is set in the harsh beach sun which makes each of the young girls look haggard. Also, I think the mag could’ve selected better photos of Robert Pattinson and Michelle Obama. Each one of them is incredibly beautiful and, yet, these photos in my opinion do not showcase their beauty at all. I do love the photo of Kristen Wiig and, of course, Tristan Wilds and Zac Efron both look supercute. I know the People magazine list of the 100 Most Beautiful People is meant to be fun and I think they generally get it right … but what do you think? I managed to avoid running into Pug Dilton but I did get to chat with Nicole Richie for a bit. Her bump is getting so big! It looks much bigger in person than it does in pictures. Mark Ronson killed it on stage and Johnny and I had a blast.

But our night was over yet … after the Ronson event, we made our way to Fubar to get our drink on … and boy, did we ever. I haven’t gotten that loaded in a very long time … I mean, it was fun at the time but UGH I’m so paying for it now. I had plans to go with Darion and Kirsten to Disneyland today but, alas, the trip got scrapped cuz of my near deathness. We’re gonna try and do dinner and a movie later. Blah, we’ll see.

Since we saw photos of Kellan with his Twilight cohorts on the Vancouver, Canada set of The Twilight Saga: New Moon earlier this week, we now know that there’s always room to play even when there is work to be done. Kellan, Eli and AnnaLynne convened in LV to celebrate together while taking a brief respite from vampire movie making. Vampires can’t be all about work, now, can they? Happy Birthday, Kellan & Eli … now get back to work.

Another 90210-er may be making a stop in the Twilight zone. I’m hearing that filmmakers have been considering the idea of casting 90210 star AnnaLynne McCord as Heidi in the upcoming New Moon, the much-anticipated sequel to Twilight. Heidi isn’t a major character in the book, but McCord definitely has the gorgeous looks to pull it off. The character is a “fisher” who brings humans to the Volturi vampires to eat. She’s also known as “bait” because of the way she uses her stunning looks to attract humans. In her brief appearance in the book, Bella describes Heidi as having “exceptional, unforgettable” beauty. She has stunning legs, long hair and violet eyes. Sources tell me McCord has auditioned for the role. “It’s not a big part,” one of the sources said. “Heidi would be more like a cameo.” McCord should feel pretty comfortable on the set. Her 90210 costar Kellan Lutz—and rumored real-life boyfriend—played Emmett in Twilight and will return for the sequel. McCord’s rep did not immediately comment nor did a rep for the studio, Summit Entertainment. Director Chris Weitz is expected to start shooting the flick with Robert Pattinson & Co. next month in Vancouver and Italy with a Nov. 20 release date. Summit has yet to make any major new casting announcements for New Moon.

Yeah, it sounds like pretty much everyone wants to jump on board the Twilight bandwagon these days. It makes sense that McCord might get the cameo role in the film … she does have a strong connection with Kellan Lutz (AnnaLynne’s rumored boyfriend and 90210 co-star who plays Emmett Cullen) and I suspect that might help her secure the role. I’m very curious to know who might get cast in the more high profile new roles in New Moon. Folks in Hollywood know a hot commodity when they smell one (kinda like how sharks can smell blood in the water) … I just hope that the rabid frenzy to get attached to the coming Twilight films won’t adversely affect the product of the films along the way. Personally, I think the strong desire by pretty much everyone to secure roles in New Moon will help the film’s success in the long run. Of course, we’ll have to see if the powers that be exercise good judgment when the decide to dole out the big parts. I guess we shall see.

When AnnaLynne McCord tells you she likes “strong female roles,” you guess she’s not talking about Meryl Streep territory. “Badass girls,” she clarifies. “With guns and a Ducati.” Ah. Well, there are no guns or Ducatis on 90210, but there she is—to her great amusement—playing the bitch. It’s become something of a habit for the pastor’s daughter from Atlanta, who first stirred up heat on Nip/Tuck as a Lolita out for liposuction. (Missed it? Get thee to the Internets!) Now the 21-year-old brings her talents to theaters in Fired Up, as the requisite evil cheerleader. But it took 90210 to make her a paparazzi target. So how are things at West Beverly High? Any good offscreen catfights? “History will repeat itself!” she says.

Yowza! AnnaLynne is really a spitfire … she is so deliciously evil in Nip/Tuck and just bitchy enough for 90210, I think she’s got a real shot at a long career in Hollywood. Well, mebbe that’s not entirely true but she does seem to be typecast as a certain character and, by the looks of this photospread, she seems really happy stoking the fires of typecasting. The girl is smokin’ hot … I’ll give her that. Whether or not she’ll be able to parlay her burgeoning fame into something more substantial remains to be seen. For now, tho, it looks like she’s perfectly content playing the bad girl. At least she does that very well.

Whoopsie! Well, it kinda comes with the territory … these things happen, yada yada yada. As far as wardrobe malfunctions go, this one isn’t too horrible … I guess. Perhaps the poor lamb will be sure to wear undergarments or at least ensure that she is fully covered up when next she is running around on the beach.

As you can see, some castmembers from The CW’s 90210 came out for last night’s premiere. You may recall that the fictional kids at West Beverly High put on a performance of Spring Awakening at their school this season on the show. Interestingly enough, none of the 90210 actors who came out for last night’s premiere were actually involved with the fictional staging of the musical on 90210 (Jessica Lowndes’s character Adrianna was supposed to play the lead but had to be replaced after she got cracked out on drugs … on the show). David and I were very lucky to attend last night’s premiere opening and I’ll have my review in my TV Guide post later in the day. While the group of celebs who came out for last night’s opening wasn’t necessarily stellar, there were a lot of fun people in the hiz to enjoy the fun last night. Spring Awakening will run at the Ahmanson Theater until December 7.

Even tho the awards were handed out at the Greek Theater last night, we’re gonna hafta wait until the show airs on Spike at 9PM on Tuesday night. So, if you’re interested to know who took home awards in the categories of Best Science Fiction Movie, Best Villain, Most Memorable Mutilation, Holy S@#$! Scene of the Year and more then you’re gonna hafta tune on Tuesday night. I will say that Julie Benz (Dexter/Saw V actress who was nominated for Best Actress: Horror Movie or TV Show) looked utterly amazing on the red carpet. Marilyn Manson and Twiggy Ramirez made a supercute couple and Gary Oldman just rules the world. It should be noted that Smashing Pumpkins performed live at the awards last night so … it might be worth checking out. Now, I have no idea who won what but I am rootin’ for Ms. Benz to win her award. I can’t wait to watch the show to see if she ended up walking home with her very own Spike Scream Award.

Shannen Doherty ain’t look all that hot in the unforgiving SoCal sun … actually, only Lori Loughlin looks like she’s ready for the cameras (little whipper-snappers AnnaLynne McCord and Shanae Grimes need to step up their respective games, yo).
