Last night Brad Pitt, Diane Kruger, Eli Roth and others were joined by family and friends at the Los Angeles premiere of their new film Inglourious Basterds at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, CA. Angelina Jolie held court with Pitt and managed to show-off a few new tattoos on her person. Here are a few pics from last night’s movie premiere:

Angelina Jolie is never anything but slim and toned. But she looked impossibly slender as she joined partner Brad Pitt on the red carpet for the premiere of his new film Inglourious Basterds last night. The 34-year-old actress wore an unforgiving leather mini dress, which clung to her fragile frame as she stood alongside tanned and healthy-looking Brad. Angelina also showed off new additions to her tattoo collection – swirls around the existing body art on her arms. Last night was Brad and Angelina’s first public appearance since they walked the red carpet at Cannes in May. The couple, whose relationship has been the subject of repeated rumours in recent months, made a show of togetherness as they embraced on the red carpet. But while Angelina was greeting everyone with a large Hollywood smile, Brad looked less comfortable. Of course, it may well have been the stress of weeks of heavy promotional duties for his new movie, which have seen him repeatedly away from his family. While Brad was promoting the film Angelina remained at home with Maddox, 8, Pax, 5, Zahara, 4, Shiloh, 3, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 1. But, ever the professional, Brad patiently signed autographs for the huge crowds of fans waiting for him and Angelina. He then led the mother of his six children through the crowd by her arm, his teeth set as he negotiated the busy red carpet.

As you may already be well aware, Inglourious Basterds is the American-Hunting-Nazi film that was directed by Quentin Tarantino and opens in theaters on August 21. Hollywood is really having a field day with all that WWII era Nazi films these days so hopefully this one will be the last … at least for a while. To be honest, my interest level in this film was much higher when it was first announced last October but it has since waned in the past few months. I think the trailers that feature Brad Pitt speaking in that horrid Southern drawl is what has been turning me off. David has mentioned that he is very much interested in seeing this film so we’ll prolly end up seeing it after all. I can’t remember the last Brad Pitt movie that I liked … mebbe this will be the one.

Daniel Edwards — the American sculptor who created controversial statues of Britney Spears giving birth on a bearskin rug titled Monument to Pro-Life, a topless bust of Hillary Rodham Clinton and the pink plastic babytoy sculpture of Octomom Nadya Suleman titled Octomom: String of Babies (but not the artist who created the Kate Moss in yoga pose statue called Spinx, that was Marc Quinn) — has set his artistic talents on Angelina Jolie and her love of breastfeeding. A new sculpture titled Landmark for Breastfeeding will go on display in the metropolitan Oklahoma City area next month before it goes on permanent display in London, England. Inspired by Angelina’s comments (and photos) on the wonders of breastfeeding in W magazine last year, Edwards decided to immortalize the sacred act between mother and child (well, in Ange’s case children) in his latest work of art. For World Breastfeeding Week, Phantom-Financial announces the unveiling of a life-size park bench sculpture of Angelina Jolie nude with her twin babies by New York artist Daniel Edwards just minutes from Brad Pitt’s own birthplace in the Oklahoma City Metro area in September before its Fall exhibition in London. “Landmark for Breastfeeding,” inspired by last year’s cover of W magazine featuring Angelina Jolie suckling her baby, depicts a seated nude Jolie double-breastfeeding twins. The tranquil bronze statue demonstrates the “football-hold,” an accepted technique for breastfeeding two babies simultaneously. In recognition of the global effort to encourage breastfeeding, one twin is depicted as being of African descent. Future castings of the statue will represent other world cultures through variations of the babies’ patina coloring. “We believe the statue sends a beautiful message by promoting the acceptance of public breastfeeding. Mothers should be encouraged to nurture their babies anywhere,” said Sandy Wilson of Phantom-Financial. “Hopefully, my sculpture inspires an increase of wetnurses to assist women who have concerns about mastitis, or passing HIV to their infant,” said artist Daniel Edwards in his Connecticut studio where the Jolie statue currently resides. “La Leche League International and Loretta McCallister have been very helpful,” said project coordinator Cory Allen. “We are applying for approval to put ‘Landmark for Breastfeeding’ on permanent display in a Metro area park.” The Jolie monument will be unveiled September 11th at MAINSITE Contemporary Art in Norman. A cast of the sculpture is expected to be auctioned by Sotheby’s October 7th for The New York Academy of Art’s annual Take Home A Nude art auction, after being displayed at Holster Projects in London’s West End.

Can I just say that I LOVE that this piece of art will go on display in Norman, OK … home of my beloved alma mater the University of Oklahoma! I’m not sure how the Okies will receive this new piece of art but … I’m glad they’re being exposed. Edwards really seems to have a knack for melding pop culture with controversy to come up with interesting artwork. IMHO, none of his works have yet surpassed his masterpiece statue of Britney giving birth, Monument to Pro-Life, but I can appreciate that he continues to push the envelope. Angelina Jolie and her eldest child Maddox Chivan were spotted making their way thru LAX Airport this week bound for the Middle East where Ange will be doing a bit of work as Goodwill Ambassador for the UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) … while her hubby-like partner Brad Pitt was spotted tooling around LA on his hog:

Presumably, Dad Pitt will remain at the homestead to care for the rest of the Brangelina brood while Angelina is off saving the world. Santa Angelina has already made her way to Baghdad, Iraq to do her good work. Here is a photo and some deets on Angelina’s visit to the affected region:

Angelina Jolie took a day trip onThursday to Baghdad. The actress and UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador is there to speak out for aid on behalf the millions of Iraqis displaced within their own country and the 1.5 million more Iraqis displaced out of the country. This is her third visit to the country in recent years. On Tuesday afternoon Jolie and eldest son Maddox took off from LAX, where they were heading to the 24th annual Arab Children’s Congress in Amman, Jordan. The pair were reportedly going to be staying with Jolie’s friend Queen Noor.

It makes ones head spin just thinking about all commitments Angelina keeps in her every day life … whether they be personal, professional or philanthropic, Angelina Jolie works hard, y’all! It’s been some time since we’ve seen photos of Angelina Jolie out and about with any of her children … but Ange and her eldest daughters Zahara Marley and Shiloh Nouvel were spotted in Studio City, CA yesterday stepping out for a day of fun. The ladies spent some time at Creation Station before making their way to dance class … which is why the little ones are all dolled up in their cute dancing gear. Check it out, it looks as if Shiloh has gotten more sassy these days … could she really be the one givin’ orders to Princess Zahara?

Mother of six Angelina Jolie treated her two eldest daughters to a girls’ day out in Los Angeles yesterday. The Wanted star, who was this week named Hollywood’s top earning actress, took Shiloh, 3, and Zahara, 4, to a dance class in Studio City. The adorable duo, who wore matching black leggings, took part in a session called ‘The Princess Series’, and couldn’t resist a twirl or two as they made their way home. Wearing a strapless maxi-dress, casual flip flops and aviator sunglasses, Angelina walked hand in hand with her daughters after their day of fun. It was a rare public outing for the family, who have largely kept out of the spotlight in recent months.

OMG … soooo cute! And, I should remind you, that the Brangelina twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Léon will be celebrating their first birthday this coming Sunday July 12. I know this because the young’ns were born on my birthday :) In any event, yesterday’s outing was for Ange and the eldest girls who might be dealing with a bit of sibling rivalry, it seems. To be honest, I’d've bet that it was Zahara who was the one in charge of those kids … but mebbe Shiloh has stepped up to exert herself in recent months? HMMM. No question, one of these girls is in control cuz you know neither boy, Maddox Chivan or Pax Thien, is in charge. The girls rule, of that fact I have no doubt.

For prolly the umpteenth millionth time, Angelina Jolie revealed in an interview that she and pseud-hubby Brad Pitt have not ruled out adopting another child to add to their already sizable family. Angelina appeared on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360° to talk about the plight of the world’s refugees and confessed to Cooper that she would “never say no” to more kiddies:

She may already have six children, but Angelina Jolie says she and partner Brad Pitt would “never say no” to adopting more. The actress, who made an appearance on CNN’S Anderson Cooper 360 to mark World Refugee Day in her role as Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations, confirmed that the couple intends to expand their already large brood. “We love children, we want a big family, so we never – you know, never say no,” she said. But later, the Tomb Raider star welled up with tears as she spoke about coming face to face with the plight of displaced children in war-torn Afghanistan. She said: “He had this really remarkable, unbreakable spirit, a spirit beyond anything I can imagine. He had lost everything and he was just so full of laughter and kindness. He passed away a few months after I was there. And so I always wonder about him and young people that you meet and you just think, in any other situation, if this person had been given a chance, what an extraordinary adult he would have been.” Angelina also revealed how she talks to her children about the tragedy they see around them when they visit refugee camps. She said: “I usually just explain to my kids that there are other families in the world that aren’t as fortunate as ours and other kids. So I tell them that it’s important for all of us to do what we can and then go to these places and understand what’s happening. Hopefully I’ll take them to as many countries as I can and raise them with an education of the world.”

Since Angelina gave birth to her twin babies last July 12, perhaps it is time to add another child to the Brangelina brood. Ange and Brad still have less children than the Jon & Kate Plus 8 family and far less children than Octomom Nadya Suleman has … I think more kiddies would be great! Angelina Jolie took a break from filming scenes for her new movie Salt, currently in production in NY, to enjoy a piece of birthday cake in celebration of director Simon West’s birthday. It’s a strange occurrence to see Angelina Jolie ingesting sustenance of any kind so I figured the photos would be worth a look … behold:

MMM … it looks like Ange is really enjoying that piece of cake. It’s nice to know that Ange makes time for eating in between her bizzy work schedule, her bizzy home schedule and her bizzy charity schedule. Her thinness might imply that she doesn’t really make much time for the practice of eating but at least we know she makes time for cake ;) It should be noted that I understand she only ate one piece of cake … hey, better than nothing.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have taken the Cannes Film Festival by storm. From the moment they arrived, pretty much all the attention has focused on them and the folks that have been deemed worthy to be in their hallowed presence … but Brangelina did take time out of their bizzy schedule of runnin’ things to share an intimate moment with one another when they thought no one was looking. It would seem that the spark of lurve is still burning bright between these two:
