Confesses that she wants to adopt more children
Angelina Jolie Does The ‘Today’ Show

Angelina Jolie made a live, in-person appearance on The Today Show on NBC this morning to do some promo work for her new movie Changeling. Somewhere along the way, interviewer Matt Lauer turned the conversation to the prospect of having or adopting more children … to which Angelina simple responded, “Yeah”. It looks like the Brangelina brood may be preparing to expand, again, at least by one more child in the very near future. Here are a few pics of Ange sitting with Matt Lauer on The Today Show earlier this morning:

Angelina Jolie said just one word: “Yeah.” It was delivered in a soft tone, adorned with a small smile and a wistful look as if she were already considering the joys of adding yet another child to her brood. There are six children now in the household she shares with partner Brad Pitt, and, Jolie told TODAY’s Matt Lauer Thursday in New York, the question isn’t whether they will adopt another child, but when that will happen. Born July 12, Jolie’s twins, Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline, are just three months old. “You can’t even start the process until any new children are at least six months old,” Jolie said, explaining that adoption agencies want to see how new children are fitting into a household. So the question, she said, is, “When is the right time to bring another child in?” According to the tabloids, the Pitt-Jolie partnership has been strained by the addition of the twins to four other children ranging in age from 2 to 7. If that is true, Jolie gave no sign of it. Lauer did not address the reports directly. Instead, he told Jolie of something she said in 2005, before she settled down with Pitt: “I’m better alone.” But Jolie doesn’t believe that anymore. “I met the right person,” she said, referring to Pitt. She started to add something, but caught herself, saying, “I’m not going to say anything that’s going to embarrass me. I don’t like being without him. I don’t love being alone like I used to be.” With six kids, that’s not a problem. Jolie all but melts when she talks about them. The twins, she said, are doing great, and the other children have welcomed them into the family. “We have so many children that they’re not really stunned anymore when kids come home,” she said. Her oldest, Maddox, 7, “is like the professional big brother. He’s done it so many times.”

Welp, it looks like big brother Maddox is gonna hafta prepare himself to welcome a new brother or sister very soon. Not that I have anything against all the adopting that Brangelina have done but it really must be a bit weird for the kids to have their family situation changed so dramatically whenever a new child shows up. At least when the fictional Brady Bunch characters had to deal with a bunch of new siblings they only had to deal with one major change all at once … and week after week we saw the fallout and hijinks that came from their situation. Now, of course real life is different from fictional TV situation comedies but my point is that the kids have to have some problems when their home life is constantly changing. Kids have problems when their home life never changes so … I dunno. I don’t know how I, as a kid, would’ve handled getting a new sibling (or two) almost ever year. In any event, it’s clear that these kids have heaped on them an immeasurable amount of love and devotion from both of their parents. In the end, I guess that’s all that matters. So now the question becomes when and from whence will come the newest member(s) of the Brangelina brood? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Photography by Brad Pitt
Angelina Jolie’s ‘W’ Magazine Photospread

Last Thursday we got our first look at the new issue of W magazine which features Angelina Jolie breastfeeding one of her twin babies on the cover (a photo that was shot by Brad Pitt). The feedback that I’ve received and read about the photo has been overwhelmingly positive and many folks mentioned how anxious they are to see the other photos of Angelina that were shot by Brad for publication in W magazine. W mag has updated their website with a sampling of photos from the issue as well as the magazine’s coverstory wherein Ange talks about her kids’ favorite toys (knives), her new movie Changeling, her relationship with Brad and, of course, the twins:

Every family has its unique rites of passage, those generational milestones that mark a child’s growth and remind parents of their own similar experiences, years earlier. In the Jolie-Pitt household, one such event is the day a kid begins collecting daggers. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s seven-year-old son, Maddox, like many boys his age, has lately developed a fondness for guns and knives, and Jolie proudly notes that the predilection runs in the family. “My mom took me to buy my first daggers when I was 11 or 12,” she recalls. “And I’ve already bought Maddox some things. We take him to a special shop.” She emphasizes that the knife blades are dulled so they’re not dangerous, and that the purchases are accompanied by discussions about violence. But, she says, “we also talk about samurais and about the idea of defending someone as good. We talk about everything” … Shortly after I’m escorted onto the 988-acre property where the family has been living since June, Jolie, who moments before was breastfeeding her seven-week-old twins, zooms up the dirt driveway in a Yamaha all-terrain vehicle, wearing a long black dress and dark sunglasses, her hair whipping in the wind. A bit later, as Jolie maneuvers the ATV over a series of potholed trails while giving a tour of the compound’s Provence-perfect vineyards, forests and olive groves, she inadvertently steers us into an area where local hunters are tracking wild boar. “Bonjour!” she shouts to one bemused man who’s armed with a rifle, before driving us back toward a cross fire–free zone. As she sits down for the interview in a stone cottage, Jolie apologizes for perhaps seeming a little drained. Pitt has been away at the Toronto Film Festival, so she’s had the six kids to herself. (There are nannies, of course, including the couple’s first part-time live-in helper; Jolie says she and Pitt were starting to get “loopy” while attending to the twins and trying to find enough time for the others, so for now someone stays over a few nights a week.) But if the actress is overwhelmed, or if she’s savoring this rare break from round-the-clock feedings and diaper changes, she doesn’t show it. She brightly mentions that she and Pitt intend to add at least one more child to the mix … Fierce maternal instincts also lie at the heart of Jolie’s latest film, Changeling, which debuted at Cannes this past spring and opens in the U.S. in October … As intrigued as Jolie was by the story, she initially balked at signing on for a project whose plot revolved around child abduction. “I was concerned to just even put that in my head,” she says. “I didn’t want the idea of a kidnapping around me.” She adds that for both Pitt and her, losing a child would be intolerable—worse than losing each other. “I love Brad, and he loves me,” she says, “but something happening to the kids…” It’s often been observed, rightly or wrongly, that Jolie has completely changed Pitt, transforming the Sexiest Man Alive into a tireless international do-gooder in her own image. She says Pitt has profoundly changed her … “When we first met, he talked about having children in that way. I talked about only adopting children,” she says. After they had agreed that Pitt would adopt Maddox and Zahara, she recalls, “he stopped talking about having other kids in the other way. So I suppose in my heart I realized that he was happy with them as his children, completely. I knew he would never see them as different, and that gave me a certain peace. Then I suppose I just looked at him and loved him and just felt open to [getting pregnant]. I suddenly wanted to. It’s one of those things you can’t explain” … when Jolie talks about the twins and their siblings, she does so freely and openly; her stories are a lot like any young mother’s, despite that each one could potentially launch an Associated Press news bulletin. (If you must know: Zahara and Pax like to slow dance together, imitating Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip from Disney’s Sleeping Beauty; newborn Vivienne is “sturdier” and “more demanding” than her brother Knox, who is “very chill” and “loves music,” taking after his father.) But for insights into life chez Jolie-Pitt, the photographs accompanying this story are perhaps more revealing than anything Jolie might discuss in an interview. Jolie says she prefers to let the photo series speak for itself, though it’s clear she’s an avid enabler of Pitt’s burgeoning photography habit. (For Christmas she surprised him with a Littman 45 Single camera.) “I love his photography,” she says. “Some people have a hobby, and they find the quickest way to it and are very pleased with the outcome right away. But he’s someone who will really study the camera—he’ll get the most complicated one and really understand the science behind it. And he’s very critical of his own work. I’ll see a photograph and think it’s amazing, but he’ll see all the different reasons why it can be better, and he’ll work very, very hard to improve it.” Pitt took these pictures a few weeks after the twins were born. Many new mothers might have hesitated to model, half dressed, for a 30-some-page magazine portfolio, but not Jolie, who doesn’t find that pregnancy has made her body any less attractive. “I’m with a man who’s evolved enough to look at my body and see it as more beautiful, because of the journey it has taken and what it has created,” she says. “He genuinely sees it that way. So I genuinely feel even sexier.”

Yes, I have to agree that the story told by the intimate photos shot by Brad tell a much more rich, fascinating story than her interview with the magazine does. Anyone familiar with W magazine knows that they tend to publish many, many photos within their pages. The print version of W will, very likely, include many more photos of Angelina, the kids, etc. shot by Brad Pitt (a “30-some-page magazine portfolio” apparently). I am very surprised that the family chose to be so open, so soon after the birth of their newest children. It’s a side of the family that really appeals to me. They may keep to themselves on a regular basis but in instances like this interview with W, they really seem to outdo themselves.

Appears to be breast feeding on the cover of the mag
Angelina Jolie Does ‘W’ Magazine

Angelina Jolie is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of W magazine. Life & Style magazine reports that Angelina is photographed breast feeding one of her newborn twins in the mag … and, indeed, the cover photo appears to show Ange breast feeding. It’s unclear if there are any other intimately private photos of this nature inside the mag but I think the cover photo deffo makes a statement … check it out:

It’s true! Sources who’ve seen the photos confirm exclusively to Life & Style that Angelina Jolie really did pose for the cover story of W magazine while breast-feeding! “Angelina posed for Brad [Pitt] in one of the photos while breast-feeding,” the source reveals to Life & Style. “It’s really beautiful and tastefully done.” “The photos are amazing,” adds a second source. Brad shot the photos in mid-August at Chateau Miraval, the family’s home in the South of France. They’re scheduled to appear in W’s November issue, hitting newsstands on Oct. 21.

My guess is that this cover photo is prolly the only one to show Ange breast feeding but … who knows … it is the Art Issue after all, I guess we’ll find out soon enough. As for this cover photo, I personally think it’s really a beautiful shot. Very tasteful, very pretty. Angelina really looks like the portrait of motherhood. I quite like this photo. Thus far, no portions of the W interview (if there is one) have been disclosed and no other photos from the mag have come to light … but I’ll keep my eyes out. Since the mag boasts that they have “Brad’s Private Photos of Angelina Jolie” I am very curious to see them. What do y’all think of this cover photo? Is it too much?

Before jetting back home to Nice, France
Brangelina Spend An Afternoon In The 9th Ward

Angelina Jolie and sons Maddox Chivan and Pax Thien joined dad Brad Pitt for an afternoon of playtime at a 9th Ward Housing Project in New Orleans, LA yesterday. The fam did not let the light rain spoil any of their playground fun … here are a few pics of Ange, Brad, Maddox and Pax at one of the newly erected playgrounds in a reconstructed area of the 9th Ward:

The fam didn’t spent too much time enjoying the playground, in fact, the family didn’t spend too much time in New Orleans, LA overall. They have already packed up and made their way back to their new home in Nice, France. Here are a few pics of the entire Brangelina brood upon arrival in Nice this morning:

You may recall that the family made their way to NYC late last week and then to New Orleans a couple of days ago and they are now already back in Nice. I wondered if they were planning on spending some time back here in the US so I guess I got my answer … nope, they really only flew back to the US to take care of some biz in New York and Louisiana and, once completed, returned to their French estate. Well, it was nice having them back on US soil, if for a short time. I suspect they won’t be back again until duty calls once again.

The gang's all here
Angelina Jolie & Kids Make Their Way To New Orleans

Yesterday we saw a couple of fun pics of Brad Pitt riding a bike on the streets of New Orleans, LA as he made his way to a business meeting and I wondered aloud (er, you know what I mean) if Angelina Jolie and their mess o’ kids had relocated from NYC (where they were this weekend for the New York Film Festival premiere of Ange’s new movie Changeling) to New Orleans as well … it turns out that they did, indeed, fly down to N.O. with daddy Braddy. Here are a couple pics of a very Morticia Addams-looking Angelina with a selection of her children walking the streets of New Orleans yesterday afternoon:

I find it very interesting that neither Ange nor Brad ever ventures out in public with all of the their children in tow. Even if you consider they prolly wouldn’t want to cart around the baby twins in public just yet, neither parent ever takes all of the toddler-aged children out en masse. It’s as if at least one has to be left home or in someone else’s care for some reason. I reminds me of the practice of leaving one member of the US President’s Cabinet at home when the State of the Union Address calls for almost full attendance of the US governmental leadership (ie. a ranking member of government must be kept away from the full Cabinet should a catastrophe occur in order for the line of succession to be carried out). It’s kinda like they have to leave at least one spare child at home to carry on the Brangelina brood should a tragedy befall them … I imagine there is a binder in the family safe that lists instructions on repopulating the family by carrying out their plans to adopt every orphan in the world. Hey, it’s possible. Or, you know, mebbe Maddox was just hanging with his friends. At any rate, it’s nice to see that the family likes to travel together, even if they don’t necessarily have to be all together 24/7.

Daddy Braddy heads off to New Orleans, LA
Angelina Jolie Shows Off Her Newest Tattoos

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt walked the red carpet at the New York Film Festival premiere of her new movie Changeling on Sunday night and it turns out that Ange used the occasion to show off her two newest tattoos. Angelina already has the longitude and latitude coordinates of the birthplaces of her other children and added new coordinates for the birthplace of her twin babies Vivienne Marcheline & Knox Léon who were born in Nice, France on July 12:

Not only did Angelina Jolie debut her post-twins baby bod this weekend in NYC, she also showed off some new ink. The actress has added two tattoos on her left arm to show the longitudinal and latitudinal location of Nice, France, where Knox and Vivienne were born in July. They are located directly below four similar lines of coordinates that represent the birth places of daughter Shiloh, who was born in Namibia; Pax, who was adopted from Vietnam; Maddox, who is from Cambodia, and daughter Zahara, who is Ethiopian. “Everybody’s great,” Jolie told reporters at Saturday’s NYC Changeling premiere. “The babies are good, getting big and healthy and developing their personalities.” Is she getting much sleep these days? “We are a little bit,” she said. “We have a few nights where we get some help, so on those nights we catch up on our sleep.” Her tip for looking so sexy weeks after giving birth? “A good dress,” the Versace-clad actress told Usmagazine.com

Hee hee, at the rate that Brangelina are raking in the kids, she’s gonna have a full arm-sleeve of tattoos in no time. Brad didn’t stay in NYC for long, he has already made his way down South to New Orleans, LA where he was spotted riding a bike to a business meeting yesterday afternoon:

I believe that Angelina and the kids are still in NYC. It’s clear that Brad has a deep love for New Orleans, which is obvious from how much time he spends there. It remains to be seen whether the Brangelina brood will join him in New Orleans or if Brad with rejoin them in NYC. One thing’s for sure, tho, this family doesn’t stay stationary for long. I’m sure they’ll be popping up someplace new very soon.

Brangelina make a grand appearance at the New York Film Festival
‘Changeling’ Premieres In NYC

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt who, as you may recall, relocated their family to NYC earlier this week made a red carpet appearance at the New York Film Festival in NYC last night for the premiere of Ange‘s new movie Changeling, directed by Clint Eastwood. Here are a few pics of the happy couple (and Clint) on the red carpet last night, which marks the first time Brangelina attended a public event together since the birth of their twins back in July:

Having landed in New York earlier in the week, Angelina Jolie arrived with Brad PItt and walked the red carpet at the New York Film Festival for Saturday night’s premiere of her movie Changeling, a 1920′s thriller directed by Clint Eastwood. Asked if she felt nervous to be back in the spotlight, Jolie told PEOPLE, “Not nervous as much as I just took a deep breath because it¹s been so long. It felt a little strange.” The Manhattan visit marks the first time since the birth of their twins, Vivienne and Knox, that Jolie and Pitt have been in the city with their children. “Everybody’s great,” she told PEOPLE. “The babies are getting big and healthy and developing personalities.” As for being in the city that never sleeps, Jolie, 33, said, “We are a little bit [sleep deprived]. We have some help a couple of nights a week, so on those nights we catch up on our sleep.” Still, as ever, she looked ravishing – decked out in an Atelier Versace dress, Sergio Rossi shoes and Mikimoto pearl earrings and ring – after a day of taking her three eldest kids (Zahara, Maddox and Pax Thien) to Lee’s Art Store midtown, while Brad went downtown to see photographer Jerry Spagnoli at his studio. “I run around with all the other kids, and I’m breastfeeding, which I think is a part of your body’s recovery,” Jolie said. “I feel great [and] feel very happy that they’re healthy.”

You gotta love that no matter her commitments, no matter how bizzy her schedule is, Angelina (and Brad, actually) makes sure to carve out time to spend with her children doing stuff that is fun for them. After the jump, check out a few pics of Ange and the kiddies making their way out of Lee’s Art Store early yesterday afternoon …

Dinner with famous friends in NYC
Angelina Jolie Makes Her First Post-Twins Appearance

Angelina Jolie, who temporarily relocated her entire family to NYC earlier this week ahead of the New York Film Festival, made her first public appearance since giving birth to her twins (who were born on July 12) last night as she stepped out (sans family) to have dinner with Clint Eastwood (who directed her new movie Changeling) at Il Buco. Shrouded in one of her famous trench coats (mostly likely by St. John), Angelina looked divine as she made her way into and out of the restaurant:

Changeling will premiere at the New York Film Festival this week and is said to be Ange‘s attempt at Oscar glory. Having seen the movie trailer myself, I’m not entirely sure if the film is really up to par. Darion and I saw the trailer ahead of seeing Eagle Eye last weekend and I remember thinking it looked an awful lot like a Lifetime made-for-TV movie. In any event, it looks like post-baby rest time is over and Angelina is back to work. As I said, I think she looks great … even if the trench is a bit concealing. I’m sure she’ll be rocking something more revealing on the red carpet this week.

Arrive in NYC ahead of the New York Film Festival
The Brangelina Brood Return To The US

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, with their kiddies in tow, have returned to the US en masse for the first time since the twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Léon were born back on July 12 (ahem, which is my birthday as well ;). Angelina is planning to walk the red carpet at the New York Film Festival this weekend so she decided to pack up all the kids and temporarily relocate the fam to New York. Here are pics of Brad, Ange, Zahara Marley, Shiloh Nouvel and either Vivienne or Knox (presumably Maddox and Pax were with them as well) sneakily making their way into their Manhattan hotel last night:

The Jolie-Pitt bunch is back in the U.S.A. For the first time since the birth of twins Vivienne and Knox, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are in New York City with their kids. Jolie plans to walk the red carpet at the New York Film Festival on Oct. 4 for the premiere of her movie The Changeling, a 1920s-set thriller directed by Clint Eastwood. The couple and their six children set up house last month in a lakeside villa in Berlin, where they are living while Pitt films Quentin Tarantino’s World War II thriller Inglorious Bastards. Pitt, 44, missed the German premiere of his movie Burn After Reading on Oct. 1 to accompany Jolie, 33, back to the States.

It’s unclear how long the Jolie-Pitts plan to stay in the US but I would guess they’re here for some time. I don’t know that Angelina would bring the entire family to NYC if she wasn’t planning on sticking around for a while (after all, she could’ve flown in for the film festival all by herself). While I’m sure the Brangelina brood have been enjoying their time in France, I think it’s great that they’ve returned home to the US, even if for a short time. Welcome home, y’all.

Happy Anniversary!
Lego Building Blocks Minifigures Turn 30 Years Old

Lego Building Blocks is celebrating the 30th anniversary of their minifigures this year and in celebration, Lego has come up with a few cute little celebrity incarnations of their famous little Lego people. Normally yellow, these celebrity Lego people are flesh-toned and, in my estimation, are pretty damn good representations of the celebrities they portray … here are the Lego versions of Vicki B. & David Beckham, Madonna, Amy Winehouse, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and the twins Vivienne Marcheline & Knox Léon Jolie-Pitt:

Lego, the Danish plastic toy firm is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the introduction of the minifigure. It has launched a website with videos and photos and is encouraging enthusiasts to enter a movie making contest to show their own interpretation of the minifigures’ adventures. The minifigure started off in 1978 as a largely featureless yellow figure but has since evolved to include realistic characteristics including skin colour and facial hair. The plastics toy firm has also produced ‘famous’ minifigure versions of characters from the big screen such as Spiderman, Darth Vader and Indiana Jones. Last month Lego announced that its half year profits have more than doubled, partly due to the success of its classic and movie/celebrity contracts.

I’m a BIG Legos fan from way back in the day. Nothing would give me more pleasure than building a model out of Legos and then smashing that model onto the tiled floor of our basement so that it would break into hundreds of pieces. Unfortch, I would smash the models so hard that some of the Lego blocks would break and my mom stopped buying them for me … but it was fun while it lasted. I think it’s awesome that Legos is having this much fun with the 30th anniversary of their minifigures. I know there are some Lego fans out there who prolly appreciate this as well, yes? So cute! My fave is the Becks one ;)
