André Lauren Benjamin — better known as André 3000 of the rap duo Outkast — was arrested in Georgia over the weekend for speeding. Homeskillet was clocked doing 109 mph in a 65 mph zone … that’s 44 miles over the speed limit. Damn, I wonder where he was off to in such a rush? Folks who get busted for speeding usually get slapped with a traffic ticket … but when the infraction is this severe, they get slapped with handcuffs. He got busted, y’all!

Andre Benjamin — aka Andre 3000 from the rap group Outkast — was arrested in his home state of Georgia this weekend after he was nailed for doing 109 mph in a 65 mph zone. We’re told Andre was taken to the Henry County Jail where he took a mugshot, posted $1,200 bail and was eventually released.
I’m sorry but is it really necessary for folks to drive this fast on any public roadway? I’m not sure what the hurry was but driving that fast is really unsafe for the other drivers on the road … I’m glad that they arrested his ass. BUT, don’t go expectin’ any severe punishment for this traffic violation. As you may recall, Matt Dillon was arrested at the end of last year for excessive speeding in the State of Vermont (he was clocked doing 106 mph in a 65 mph zone) and just yesterday plead guilty to his charges and only had to pay a fine of $828. I imagine the same will happen for André 3000. It remains to be seen if this bust will teach the man a lesson about safe driving cuz I’m pretty sure a piddly fine like the one that Dillon got slapped with won’t teach him anything.
