Amy Winehouse spent another day doing her Amy Winehouse best to keep her record of public craziness totally intact. Yesterday, she paid a visit to a kosher shop in the Golders Green area of London to do pretty much everything but shop for food:

I’m just amazed that this crazy lady is allowed to roam the streets of a civilized city like London when she should prolly be locked up somewhere for her own good. I suppose it has been a few weeks since we last saw the poor girl roaming the streets … bloodied, crying and wailing into the night. That’s some bit of progress, yes? If the worst thing she’s putting in her mouth these days is a pickle, I’d say she’s made a whole lotta progress.

As you may recall, Amy Winehouse was videotaped assaulting an audience member at the Glastonbury Festival on Saturday night (partway into her slurred and tipsy performance that night) after reportedly getting hit with a hat which caused her to retaliate and punch the person she thought threw the hat at her. It turns out that she ended up hitting an innocent person and not the hat culprit and the innocent assault victim managed to record the entire incident on video … which he shared with the BBC:

A man who was allegedly elbowed in the head by Amy Winehouse at Glastonbury Festival has handed his digital camera footage of the incident to the BBC. James Gostelow, 25, from London, said the singer caught him on the forehead after someone in the crowd behind him threw a hat at her. Winehouse, 24, was seen apparently lashing out at the audience during her Pyramid Stage performance on Saturday. But police said they had received no complaints of assault. Broadcast footage on the night appeared to show Winehouse elbow one fan after being hit on the head by a hat, then throw a series of punches into the crowd. Mr Gostelow said the incident was a case of mistaken identity. “I saw a hat being thrown from behind me and it hit Amy’s beehive. She looked down, saw me looking up, and her elbow went for me. She caught my forehead, then someone may have shouted something from the back, which is when she went in again.” Winehouse, who performed in front of an estimated 75,000 people, jumped off the stage and into the security pit for the last two songs of her set … The star’s spokesperson had no comment on Mr Gostelow’s recollection of the incident. However, on Saturday her representatives said: “The ‘lashing out’ was when someone tried to grab her hair and she reacted.” The singer has returned to a London clinic after appearing at the music festival.

It’s actually a nice surprise that the alleged assault victim has no intention of launching a lawsuit against Ms. Winehouse cuz if that biz had happened here in the US, she’d've already done been sued by now. Altho it looked very much like Amy wasn’t at her peak condition, you can’t really blame her for lashing out if she really did have something thrown at her (unless the tipsy, falling over, slurred lyrics routine is her peak condition and then, well, I guess you still can’t blame her). The girl is a mess but this is, by far, the least of her messes. Maybe she should add anger management classes to the list of professional services she would greatly benefit from but prolly has no intention of ever taking on.

Amy Winehouse, who on Friday night successfully delivered a live performance for Nelson Mandela at his 90th birthday celebration in Hyde Park, London, manged to keep it together long enough to make her scheduled appearance at the Glastonbury Festival last night. Having heard some of her performance from Glastonbury last night, I don’t think she was in quite the same shape that she was for Mandela on Friday night … she slurred her way thru the lyrics and stumbled on and off the stage — which isn’t all that surprising — but the real fun came when she started getting boos from the crowd:

AMY WINEHOUSE made PETE DOHERTY look angelic last night after punching a fan, spitting chewing gum into the crowd and calling KANYE WEST a c*** on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury. Her obnoxious behaviour tainted what should have been a magical comeback set. The question on everybody’s lips was whether or not she would turn up sober and it was admittedly hard to tell if she was intoxicated, as her stage persona is to play up to her rebellion. But coming onstage with a beaming smile suggested she was over the moon to be in the spotlight again after her hospital spell last week. The songstress started with promise, looking radiant in a blue cocktail dress which squeezed her boobs into an impressive cleavage and detracted attention from her super slim limbs. She sang her heart out during classic tracks Tears Dry On Their Own, Wake Up Alone and Back To Black … But things turned sour when she spoke about hubby BLAKE coming out of jail and fans booed. Amy defended him, saying: “Don’t boo. I’ll find your phone and ring your mum and tell them about your bad manners. Manners cost you nothing.” She then rambled on about never having loved a white man before, adding: “When Blake came along he bashed me over the head with a cricket bat. Not literally.” The performance became more about her declarations of love than entertaining her supporters. Before launching into Hey Little Rich Girl, the precocious star went on a tirade about JAY-Z. She ordered the crowd to welcome him and told everyone to be grateful they weren’t getting Kanye West as he is a “c***”. Amy then played up to the cameras during finale track Rehab, jumping off stage, stumbling around and lapping up the attention from adoring fans. But the final straw came when the troubled star shockingly punched an audience member. Glasto boss MICHAEL EAVIS defended Amy saying: “The man deserved it. He grabbed Amy’s breasts as she went past him.” However another fan in the front row said it was actually a GIRL called Claire that was hit and she only tried to give the singer a high five.

While Amy Winehouse managed to successfully pull herself together enough to perform for Nelson Mandela at his 90th birthday celebration concert in Hyde Park, London last night, she was unsuccessful in keeping one of her nipples entirely tucked away inside her top … try not to be shocked, will you?

It would seem that Amy Winehouse is feeling much better since being released from the hospital just a few days ago. Despite the fact that she is showing the symptoms that might lead to the development of emphysema and despite the fact that she had to be hospitalized for about a week after passing out on her doorstep, Amy Winehouse is back into the swing of her crazy life. Here are new pics of Amy checking out some magazines before picking up a few bottles of booze (to her credit, mini bottles of booze — Smirnoff vodka and two bottles of Jack Daniels whiskey) at a convenience store in London after visiting her husband Blake Civil-Fielder in jail (on charges that he attempted to pervert justice) earlier today:

Also to her credit, she looks pretty good … better than I’ve seen her in I don’t even know how long. I understand that Amy picked up her supplies on her way to Hyde Park for rehearsals ahead of Nelson Mandela‘s 90th birthday concert scheduled for tomorrow night. I’m sure the promoters were thrilled that she thought ahead to bring her own pocket-sized booze. HMMM … does anyone else think that Nelson Mandela deserves better?

Amy Winehouse was released from the hospital yesterday after spending nearly a week undergoing medical tests to find out the cause of her most recent fainting spell. After her father, Mitch Winehouse, revealed to The Sunday Mirror that his daughter was suffering from the early signs of emphysema (due to excessive smoking of “crack cocaine and cigarettes”), Amy was spotted upon release from the hospital with a cigarette in her mouth … natch. Additionally, Amy‘s spokespeople are trying to downplay the “emphysema” report, attempting to clarify that she is merely showing the signs of developing emphysema and does not yet have the disease (which is essentially what her father said in his interview):

Amy Winehouse was photographed smoking in London on Monday after her father Mitch revealed she is suffering from emphysema. “The doctors have told her if she goes back to smoking drugs it won’t just ruin her voice, it will kill her,” Mitch told UK newspaper the Daily Mail. Winehouse, 24, was taken to the hospital last week for tests after she fainted at home in London. “With smoking the crack cocaine and the cigarettes her lungs are all gunked up,” Mitch said. “There are nodules around the chest and dark marks. She’s got 70 percent lung capacity.” If she doesn’t get treatment, she could need an oxygen mask to breathe, Mitch told the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile: A publicist for Winehouse later said he had misspoken “out of his concern for her.” “She is not diagnosed with full-blown emphysema, but instead has early signs of what could lead to emphysema,” Tracey Miller, her U.S.-based representative, told The Associated Press on Monday. In an interview published Sunday by the Daily Mail of London, Mitch Winehouse said that his daughter’s crack and cigarette smoking had led to early-stage emphysema, and that the singer had an irregular heartbeat. He said she had been warned that she will have to wear an oxygen mask unless she stops smoking drugs … However, in an interview later with BBC Radio 1, he appeared to downplay his dire statements, and said: “Amy really hasn’t got emphysema, there’s traces of emphysema. Obviously, if she doesn’t quit smoking, it’s going to get worse, like everyone else … with patience her lungs will recover completely.” He added that she was covered in nicotine patches and is “flourishing” in response to treatments … She is still scheduled to sing at a concert in London on Friday celebrating the 90th birthday of Nelson Mandela and plans to take part in the Glastonbury music festival the following day. Mitch Winehouse said it would be good for his daughter to perform. “When she’s been inactive work-wise then that’s when the problems really start. The doctors have said that medically there isn’t any reason why she can’t do Glastonbury,” the paper quoted him as saying.

I’m just amazed. Amazed! I cannot for the life of me imagine a scenario where I was faced with the prospect of developing a disease that would hinder my BREATHING to the point where I couldn’t survive without an oxygen mask and still choose to engage in smoking cigarettes. It appears that nothing seems to phase Amy Winehouse in the least. She either will not or cannot put a stop to her dangerous vices in order to maintain her health. It’s so hard to feel sorry for a person who actively chooses to put her life in danger. It is very easy to feel sorry for the family that loves and still cares for her and want nothing more than for her to clean up her act. At what point will the story of Amy Winehouse end? I fear it won’t be a happy ending.

Amy Winehouse is, apparently, taking her bee hive lurve to new heights … like, literally. For some reason, Amy‘s old bee hive hair’do ain’t quite up to snuff any longer … so it appears that an upgrade was in order, behold:

Now, I’ve heard of women going from b-cups to d-cups but I guess in Amy‘s case, she’d look a bit ridic with d-cups. I’m not sure what brought about this inspired new look for our dear Amy (maybe she just was confused and accidentally wore two bee hive weaves at once?) but at least we can always count on her for a good chuckle … chortle, even. Sure, this massive new hair’do may look a’ight early in the day … lessee how it maintains in the wee hours of the morning.

Messy Amy Winehouse somehow found the ability to make her way to the Rock in Rio concert in Lisbon late last week to perform for an audience of thousands. It was during the performance that she paid tribute to her incarcerated hubby Blake Civil-Fielder (who is currently serving a sentence for attempting to pervert justice in the UK) with a cute little clip in her hair. I guess she was also paying tribute to the fella in her life by showing off a nasty new hickey on her neck:

All eyes were on a purple bruise on Amy Winehouse’s neck on Friday as she paid tribute to her incarcerated husband at a Portuguese gig. The unsightly mark on the troubled singer’s neck at the Rock in Rio concert in Lisbon left fans wondering if Winehouse was sporting a love bite from her spouse Blake Fielder-Civil. The Rehab star’s mysterious body marking appeared to suggest Winehouse had received a souvenir from her visit to Fielder-Civil at Pentonville Prison in north London just hours before flying to the Portuguese capital. The singer arrived at the gig half an hour late and croakily admitted she was suffering from a sore throat as she attempted to make amends to the 90,000 fans at the Bela Vista Park. Friday marked Winehouse’s first concert performance since she cancelled a series of gigs last November after her husband was first imprisoned. After finally walking on stage, a disheveled Winehouse, admitted she probably should have cancelled the gig when she was greeted by boos. She said: “Hey Lisbon, I’m sorry I late. My voice is not singing right and I can’t even hold the microphone. I should have cancelled, but I wanted to be here so much.” During her performance, which finished on time despite the tardy start, the 24-year-old touched her neck repeatedly, suggesting she was conscious of the so-called love bite.

The hickey may be gross but it’s a sight better than those nasty cuts and scratches she usually sports all over her arms and body. It really says a lot about a person who looks better with a hickey than with any sort of lacerations. I’m just amazed the woman is able to marginally function at all. [Source]
