On Saturday we learned the unsurprising yet very sad news that 27 year old singer Amy Winehouse was found dead in her home. After her parents were brought in to the coroner’s office to identify the body, a Section 20 postmortem autopsy was carried out … resulting in an “inconclusive” cause of death ruling.

Janis and Mitch Winehouse, parents of the late Amy Winehouse who was found dead in her apartment in London yesterday, have both commented on the passing of their late daughter. Naturally, both Janis and Mitch were shocked and devastated by the news but … very sadly … Amy‘s mother had been expecting her daughter’s death for years. I cannot imagine the pain a parent must feel at the death of their child … but it sounds like Janis had resigned herself to the eventuality of Amy‘s death for some time now.

Very sad, very unsurprising news to pass along today … reports out of London claim that troubled singer Amy Winehouse was found dead in her home at around 4PM local time. Information about Amy‘s death is breaking now so not much detail is yet known … but both Sky News and Reuters are reporting her death on Twitter. Amy Winehouse, who checked herself out of rehab just a few days after she checked in this month, was the absolute picture of tragic trainwreckness this weekend as she tried to perform a concert in Serbia. Amy, who IMHO looked absolutely blitzed out of her mind, stumbled around on stage for a bit before she attempted to sing … and failed. Unsurprisingly, the rest of Amy‘s tour has been canceled as a result of her disastrous performance this weekend. The whole sad thing was captured on video that is just too sad to even be funny. The simple fact is that Amy Whinehouse is a complete mess ;(

At the start of this month, we learned that troubled singer Whitney Houston decided to voluntarily submit to rehab treatment in order for her to get a better handle on her addiction(s). Just last week, we learned that Amy Winehouse, too, decided to return to rehab for addiction treatment. Today we learn the positive news that Whitney has decided to extend her treatment in the hopes of continuing to clean up her life. Sadly, Amy has not decided the same … and checked herself out of rehab after only a week of treatment.

British trainwreck Amy Winehouse is back in rehab again … for, like, the 10 millionth time it seems. It’s been a while since she’s been hospitalized due to her drug problems but it’s really not that surprising, sadly. If Lindsay Lohan is back under house arrest, then it must be time for Amy Winehouse to go back to rehab. Oy!

An old notebook/diary of Amy Winehouse‘s was recently discovered in a trash bin in the UK (along with a collection of other discarded school books) and pages from the diary have been made available on the all-seeing Internets. The diary, which is full of Winehouse‘s hopes, dreams and occasional lyrics, was written when Amy was only 17 years old (just before she hit it big with her first record contract). Altho the text is not groundbreaking, it is a very interesting look at a younger, more innocent Amy Winehouse.

A couple of weeks ago we learned that Amy Winehouse would be teaming up with Fred Perry to launch a new clothing line … and today we get our first look at Amy, herself, modeling the clothing line Amy Winehouse for Fred Perry … behold:

You gotta admit, Amy Winehouse really cleans up well. I don’t really see how these designs are all that different from the usual Fred Perry fare but, to be honest, the clothes do have an Amy Winehouse-ness about them. The only thing that would make them even more Amy-like would be if they were ripped in some parts and blood-stained. After the jump, check out a few more photos …

British trainwreck Amy Winehouse is featured in the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine and in her short interview she discusses her fashion sense, her style inspiration and more. She was photographed by rocker turned photographer Bryan Adams … behold:

Controversy seems to follow Amy Winehouse wherever she goes, but her beehive hair, heavy eyeliner and widespread tattoos have also made her into something of a style icon, albeit an unwilling one. “A style, like, what?” the singer turned designer says in the November issue of Harper’s Bazaar when asked if she considers herself a fashion icon. “No, of course not!” she tells the magazine. “I just dress like…I’m an old Jewish black man. I just dress like it’s still the ’50s.” But when it comes to her own sources of fashion inspiration, Winehouse, shot by rock star turned photographer Bryan Adams in a dress from her sportswear collection for British brand Fred Perry, has a hard time deciding. “Elizabeth Taylor,” she says, before changing her mind. “Not really. She had purple eyes. That’s weird.” But despite her indecision, Winehouse says she was quite certain when it came to working with British label Fred Perry on a fashion line. “I knew exactly what I wanted,” she said of her vision for the collaboration. “And I love Fred Perry so much. I was honored,” Amy says, before admitting that when the fashion house asked for her hand in the 17-piece clothing and accessories collection, she could hardly believe they picked her.

Yeah, I can hardly believe that Fred Perry picked Amy Winehouse to design clothing as well. For the most part, Amy looks like a disheveled mess … usually with streaked make-up and grit on her face, other times with blood and other gross things mixed in. I get that she may be a “fashion icon” to some when she’s all done up and clean but the first thing that comes to mind when I think of an Amy Winehouse Collection of clothing, I’m thinking dirty jeans, ripped blouses and soiled ballerina flat shoes. She looks good in this photo, yes, but a style icon designer she is not.

At the start of the month we saw fairly tragic, yet par for the course, photos of Amy Winehouse lookin’ especially trainwrecky and then just a few days later, we saw that the girl managed to clean herself up for a night on the town. Since that last sighting, Amy has managed to keep a low profile … well, until last night. Amy was either feeling frisky or she just had a nasty itch that she just couldn’t reach so she decided to rub her butt up against a door frame as she was photographed by the paparazzi:

As gross as it sounds, I honestly hope that Amy did have an itch to scratch cuz if she was actually trying to be sexy then she is far worse off that I imagined. I have no idea what heinous crime this door frame did to deserve this kind of punishment but I think it should be put out of its misery. In fact, a burning of the entire building might be in order. Ew.
