Last week we heard the happy sad news that True Blood star Alexander Skarsgård and actress Kate Bosworth broke up after about 1 1/2 years together. Today we get to see new photos of the VERY SINGLE Alexander strolling the streets of NYC all by his lonesome … just waiting to get snapped up by a new lover. I’m not sure if Alexander is ready to settle down with a new partner … but it couldn’t hurt to ask, right?

Bad News / Good News, folks. After about 1 1/2 years together, True Blood star Alexander Skarsgård and actress Kate Bosworth have called it quits. This news is Bad News for folks who liked these two together. It’s Good News for those of you who would like to have a go at dating Mr. Skarsgård so … now’s your chance. Naturally, the very private couple have not confirmed news of their reported split but US Weekly seems pretty sure that Bosgård are dunzo for good.

Earlier this year, True Blood co-stars Stephen Moyer and Alexander Skarsgård were great sports and participated in a TB fan-driven charity event called The Battle of the Fang and, as I understand it, helped raise thousands of dollars for each actor’s favorite charity. The team able to raise the most money thruout the challenge won the right to have both Stephen and Alexander wear t-shirts designed by the winning team. Here are supercute photos of Moyer and Skarsgård modeling the winning t-shirt designs and a bit of info about the contest itself:

Alexander Skarsgård would like to see the fund raising in his honor go to SOS Children’s Villages, an organization that focuses on family-based, long-term care of children who can no longer grow up with their biological families. At SOS Children’s Villages and SOS Youth Facilities they experience reliable relationships and love once again, meaning that they can recover from what they have experienced, which has often been traumatic. They grow up in a stable family environment, and are supported individually until they become independent young adults. We will be working with the SOS Swedish branch (Alexander’s native country) to fund a Children’s Village in Bovary, Ukraine.

Not only am I impressed by the ability of a network of fan websites to organize a contest like this but I am also impressed by the willingness of these actors to play along and participate. And how much did fans raise to get these guys to model these t-shirts? Team Bill raised $35,043 while Team Eric raised $34,223. Congrats to the winners for their hard work and kudos all around for finding a very fun way to raise much needed funds for two important charities. Aren’t these photos great?

When last we saw lovebirds Kate Bosworth and Alexander Skarsgård out and about in public it was mid-July and there were reports that the couple’s relationship was cooling down … then … we didn’t see or hear about them for a few months. But this weekend, Bosgård were in full effect again as the couple stepped out in public together on a movie date here in LA. It would seem that those reports of the end of Bosgård were not entirely correct:

I really like these two together … I’m glad to see that things appear to be going well for the two of them. It’s entirely possible that just because Bosgård have been out of public sight doesn’t mean that there’s been trouble in paradise. Long live Bosgård!!

Yeah, it’s a bummer that these photos don’t quite have the nekkid appeal that the bold coverphoto does but still, I’m sure fans of True Blood will appreciate any bit of their fave show that they can get. Hold on to your fangs, True Blood fans … the 3 main stars of the hit HBO drama are featured on the cover of the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine … OH and they are all completely naked:

The idea of celibate vampires is ridiculous, True Blood creator Alan Ball says in the new Rolling Stone cover story. “To me, vampires are sex,” he says. “I don’t get a vampire story about abstinence. I’m 53. I don’t care about high school students. I find them irritating and uninformed.” On his show, every available orifice is used for intercourse: gay, straight, between humans and supernatural beings, and supernatural being on supernatural being, whether he be werewolf, dog or an enormous Minotaur-looking being called a maenad. None of the sex is quite as good as vampire sex, though, which can happen at the astonishing rhythm of 120 bpm while simultaneously devouring one’s neck and making your eyes roll back into your head. Says Stephen Moyer — who plays Bill Compton, the undead Southern Civil War Veteran — “If we go from a base level, vampires create a hole in the neck where there wasn’t one before. It’s a de-virginization — breaking the hymen, creating blood and then drinking the virginal blood. And there’s something sharp, the fang, which is probing and penetrating and moving into it. So that’s pretty sexy. I think that makes vampires attractive.” He laughs a little. “Plus, Robert Pattinson is just hot, right?”

True Blood hunk Alexander Skarsgård has been chosen as the new celebrity spokesmodel for the Hickey Freeman suit company and is featured in a new ad campaign that was photographed by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz. Founded in 1899 in Rochester, NY, Hickey Freeman is traditionally known for their line of businessman and banker suits … but with this new ad campaign, the company is trying to youthen up its image to attract new customers. I can’t think of a better spokesmodel to liven up Hickey Freeman‘s image than Alexander Skarsgård. He has a very classic look that is fresh and new and yet traditionally handsome.
