Alanis Morissette’s Baby Bump Begins To Emerge

Last week we learned that Alanis Morissette and her new hubby Mario Souleye Treadway are pregs with their fist child … and since then, we’ve seen the happy couple out and about together showing off her teeny weeny baby bump. Today we get to see a couple new photos of the couple taking their bump out for a walk … but this time, there seems to be more of a bump to actually see:

Newly married and five months pregnant Alanis Morissette is making sure she stays in top shape during her pregnancy. The mother-to-be showed off her toned figure and burgeoning baby bump dressed in grey workout pants and a grey T-shirt as she and her husband, rapper Mario ‘Souleye’ Treadmill walked their dogs in the trendy Los Angeles suburb of Brentwood. The couple looked extremely happy and very much in love as they enjoyed their leisurely weekend walk with their canine companions. Alanis, 36, and Souleye, 30, tied the knot in a surprise ceremony in May, after only eight months of dating. The ‘You Oughta Know’ singer revealed she was five months pregnant just three months after their nuptials, by listing it as the final item in a ’25 Things You Don’t Know Abut Me’ feature in Us magazine. Last week she filmed an interview for the late night talk show Chelsea Lately, with Chelsea Handler, broadcast on the E channel.

Yay!! At last, there is actually a bump to watch! Previously, I lamented that I wasn’t sure how I’d be able to wait the 9 months ’til Alanis brought forth the fruit of her loins … so you can imagine my elation that she’s already 5 months along. She should be giving birth sometime this year … and I cannot WAIT! Alanis will surely be my fave bump watch of the year … I’m already in love and it hasn’t even been a week yet ;)

Alanis Morissette Takes Her Baby Bump Out For A Stroll

On Wednesday we learned the very happy news that singer/songwriter Alanis Morissette and hubby Mario Souleye Treadway are pregnant with their first child! On Thursday, we got our first look at Alanis and her just emerging baby bump. Today we get to see a few more photos of the happy couple out and about in SoCal taking their little bump out for a family stroll:

I don’t think I’ll ever tire of seeing Alanis look so happy. I am beyond thrilled that she is going to be a mom and I’m so happy that she found a man to share her happiness with. They are going to make the cutest babies … cuz I’m certain Alanis will not stop at just one little baby. The parents-to-be also got in a bit of parenting practice on their little stroll this week. Check out a cute pic of Alanis, Souleye and bump after the jump …

Alanis Morissette Shows Off Her Emerging Baby Bump

Yesterday we learned the very happy, very exciting news that Alanis Morissette and her new hubby Mario Souleye Treadway are pregs with their first child. Today we get to see the first photos of Alanis and Souleye out and about in public for the first time since news of their pregnancy was announced. Altho Alanis‘s baby bump is barely a bump at all, I think it’s still time to begin the official Alanis Bump Watch! Here are photos of Alanis and Souleye making their exit from a TV interview with Chelsea Handler in West Los Angeles, CA yesterday afternoon:

These photos were snapped just hours after Alanis‘s pregnancy news made its way around the Internets. Clearly, you can see that both she and hubby Souleye are very happy and excited to be parents. I love seeing her look so happy. After Alanis, Souleye and their Bump were finished at the TV studio, they dressed down and made a run for coffee. Check out a couple of other photos of the happy couple out on their coffee run, after the jump …

You Oughta Know!
Alanis Morissette Is Pregs!

Congratulations are in order for Alanis Morissette and her new hubby Mario Souleye Treadway (who, as you may recall, got hitched back in May) because Alanis reveals in the new issue of US Weekly that she is pregs with her first child! Alanis filled out a questionarire for the magazine and listed her pregnancy as one of the “Things You Don’t Know About Me”:

[Alanis Morissette], 36, announces the happy news in the new Us Weekly, on newsstands now. In Us’ “25 Things You Don’t Know About Me” section, Morissette lists “I am pregnant!” as No. 25. Morissette wed rapper Souleye, 30 (real name: Mario Treadway), this past May 22 at their Los Angeles home. “We’re very excited to embark on this journey with each other,” she wrote on her Twitter page at the time.

Yay!! This is the best news. I love Alanis, from way back in the day, and have always wished nothing but the happiest wishes for her. I was absolutely crushed when her longtime engagement to Ryan Reynolds fell apart (so that he could marry Scarlett Johansson) but I’ve never seen her as happy as when she was with her new hubby Souleye. News of this pregnancy is just so exciting! I know Alanis will be an amazing mother. I can’t wait for the Bump Watch to begin! Congrats Alanis and Souleye on the coming birth of your baby … Woot!

Congrats!
Alanis Morissette & Mario ‘Souleye’ Treadway Got Hitched!

Congratulations are in order for Canadian chanteuse Alanis Morissette and her loverboy Mario Souleye Treadwaythe couple have announced today that they were secretly wed in a private ceremony last month! As you may recall, we saw photos of Alanis and Souleye doing a bit of lovey-dovey jewelry shopping together at Fred Segal in Santa Monica, CA last November … I guess they were in the market for wedding bling. I mean, yeah … they got hitched, y’all!

Alanis Morissette is officially off the market! The singer and the rapper Souleye, 30, (real name: Mario Treadway) tied the knot in an intimate ceremony with family present at their Los Angeles home on May 22, a source tells PEOPLE. Morissette’s rep confirms the news. It is the first marriage for the couple, who wed a week before Morissette’s 36th birthday.

Whoa! These two move pretty fast! I’m always a bit suspect of any couple that decides to marry so soon after they meet but who am I to discount true love? I love me some Alanis and if she thinks this Souleye dude is worth marrying then he’s got to be a’ight. Let’s send all our love and congrats their way for a long and very happy marriage!

As new Idol is crowned, Simon Cowell says goodbye
‘American Idol’ 2010 Picks A New Winner

And so … America picks a new American Idol to reign over the landscape of competitive reality TV musicdom. Last night, the latest season of American Idol came to a close in a lavish finale episode that featured a host of big name musical acts, a tearful goodbye to the show’s meanest judge and — of course — the revelation of America’s pick for this year’s Idol. Here are a few photos of some of the big name musical acts who performed during last night’s finale ep:

While I am not a huge fan of the show itself, even I have to admit that American Idol puts on some of the most entertaining finale episodes on TV these days. Last night’s ep featured performances by Janet Jackson, Christina Aguilera, Alanis Morissette, Bret Michaels, Carrie Underwood (herself a former AI winner) and more! It was deff worth tuning in just to see these pop stars pay homage to America’s biggest musical popularity contest. But, of course, the entire night lead up to the big announcement. In the end, there were 2 contestants left … Crystal Bowersox and Lee DeWyze. But only one of them could be named this year’s American Idol. And the winner is …

‘Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time’ Premieres In Hollywood

Last week we got to see photos from the world premiere of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time in London, England and today we get to see a few photos from the red carpet arrivals at the Hollywood premiere of the film which took place at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre here in Los Angeles, CA last night. Jake Gyllenhaal was lookin’ damn good on the red carpet (as per usual) and even Alanis Morissette was in attendance … behold:

We are just about one week away from the film’s release and as much as I fear that the film will not be an epic masterpiece, I can’t help but be all kinds of excited to see Jakey poo helm a big budget blockbuster film. I mean, c’mon … if Alanis Morissette can be excited for the film, so can we, right? Yeah, I’m not sure that makes any sense at all but I am trying to stay positive about this film. I’ll be there opening day, will you?

The XXI Winter Olympic Games Come To A Close

After 16 days of spirited Winter Olympic competition (which, you may recall, began on February 13), the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games came to a close yesterday in a triumphant way for the host country of Canada. They ended up winning the Gold Medal in the Men’s Hockey Final against the US (and don’t forget, Canada also won the Women’s Hockey Gold Medal earlier in the week) and ended up with the highest Gold Medal count of every country in competition (tho, I might add, the US won the overall medal count with 37 — the most the US has ever won at any Winter Olympic Games). In jubilant celebration, Canada threw one hell of a party last night … which they called the Olympic Closing Ceremony:

The Olympics that started under the cloud of an athlete’s death ended Sunday, much more joyously than they had begun. A victory by the Canadian men’s hockey team over the United States in the final competition of these Games spurred throngs of fans onto the streets, where they celebrated a gold medal — and a Winter Olympics — that united this nation. In waves of their red and white hockey jerseys, they shouted “Go Canada!” to mark the country’s record 14th gold medal here. Not long after, inside B.C. Place, another celebration began. The Canadian singers Alanis Morissette, Avril Lavigne and Michael Bublé got the crowd of 60,000 dancing. The Canadian actors Michael J. Fox and Catherine O’Hara got the crowd laughing. Every detail — down to the spectators wearing foam moose antlers and the backup singers dressed like Mounties in miniskirts — was a reminder of who had hosted these Games. So, despite the tears of 16 days earlier, the Games ended on a high note, just as Jacques Rogge, the president of the International Olympics Committee, had expected. “I knew the Games would be a success, even though in the beginning they were a bit gloomy, with legitimate issues and teething pains,” he said Saturday, referring to the shaky start, which was marred by problems, including unseasonably warm weather … Canada, for the first time on its home soil, did not feel a similar pang of disappointment. The glory of the gold medal poured in for the hosts, with Alexandre Bilodeau leading the way. He won the men’s moguls event, becoming the first Canadian to win a gold medal on home soil. In the last week, the Canadians were on a roll, and their gold medal total ended up being the best. “Alexandre, your first gold medal gave us all permission to feel like and behave like champions. Our last one will be remembered for generations,” Furlong said, referring to the Canadian team’s gold medal victory over the United States in men’s hockey. Despite that final loss, the performance of Team USA was also memorable. It won 37 medals, more than it has ever won in a Winter Games. Apolo Ohno, a short-track speedskater, won three medals to become the most decorated American in Winter Games history with eight medals over all. Bill Demong, an athlete in the Nordic combined, won the United States’ first gold medal in that sport. Bode Miller won a gold in the super combined, topping off the best Olympic run for American Alpine skiers since 1984. “No matter what our projections were, it would be hard to deny that we’ve exceeded that,” said Scott Blackmun, the chief executive of the United States Olympic Committee. “The team performed fantastically, but we expected them to perform fantastically. They did better than we even thought they would.” Some American athletes, including the Alpine skier Lindsey Vonn, failed to meet high expectations. Vonn came into these Games with a goal of winning five gold medals, but left with one gold, in the downhill, and a bronze. Still, she called these Games her best yet because of the welcoming atmosphere. “At the end of the day, I’m leaving these Games happy because I gave it everything I have,” she said … In the end, the Canadians managed a smooth ending to these Games, down to fixing the glitch from the opening ceremony that left the Canadian speedskater Catriona LeMay Doan holding a torch, but with nothing to light. One leg of the Olympic caldron had failed to emerge from the ground. But at the closing ceremony, that leg finally appeared, to deafening cheers. LeMay Doan lighted the flame, in a symbolic moment that showed that the Games could regroup. What marked these Games the most, though, was Canada’s performance, Rogge said. Nothing makes an Olympics better than when the host country finds success. That is why Bilodeau’s victory in the moguls proved so momentous. “Canada woke up, the Games and the rest of the world woke up,” Rogge said.

As far as Winter Olympic Games go, I think the Vancouver Games will be fondly remembered as among the most exciting of them all … it really was a spectacular 2 weeks of competition that we ALL got to enjoy. After the jump, check out a few more photos from the Closing Ceremonies and read some of my final thoughts on the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games

Alanis Morissette Finds Herself A New Man

It’s been quite sometime since we’ve seen photos of Alanis Morissette happily in the arms of a man … I don’t think we’ve seen her coupled up with anyone since her break-up with Ryan Reynolds a couple of years ago. Since their break-up, as y’all should know, Ryan went and hot himself married to Scarlett Johansson … and Alanis has remained single. Sure, she went out and got herself a new tattoo about a year ago now … and has been spending time with her friends … but she has not found herself a new love … until now. Here are cute photos of Alanis with her new man, a musician named Souleye, lookin’ all cute and stuff as they did some shopping this weekend at Fred Segal in Santa Monica, CA:

They look like a good match … and she looks really happy. It’s so nice to see Alanis lookin’ all smiley again. I can’t even imagine how difficult it was for her to heal from her break from Ryan (tho, listening to Alanis‘s album Flavors of Entanglement gives me some hint as to how difficult it was for her) but it looks like she is ready to move forward and forge ahead with this new chap. I wish them both every happiness … after all, this might be the true love of her life :)

Lance Bass & Alanis Morissette Are Best Buds

When last we saw Lance Bass here on the blog he was lookin’ all hawt and stuff in a new photoshoot by photographer Braden Summers but today we get to see him lookin’ all cute and stuff hanging out with his BFF Alanis Morissette. Lance and Alanis were spotted enjoying a night on the town in NYC with a few friends … behold:

I dunno … something about how happy and smiley these two look in this photo really warms the cockles of my heart. I believe the pals have been friends for a while but we don’t ever get to see them hanging out together. They look like a great pair of friends … I hope we get to see more of them together soon.
