Back in January we learned that Trevor Donovan, who plays Teddy Montogomery on 90210, was getting a new love interest played by actor Alan Ritchson. Last night, on the Spring Break episde of the show, Teddy (Trevor Donovan) ran into Tripp (Alan Ritchson) on holiday and the guys shared a passionate kiss before retiring to a hotel room where they, presumably, did more than just kiss. Back in November, we got to see photos and video of Teddy Montgomery (played by Trevor Donovan) gettin’ all same-sex smoochy with new boyfriend Ian (played by Kyle Riabko) on the CW TV series 90210. Last month, we learned that Teddy will be getting a new boyfriend (played by Freddie Smith) in the second half of the season … but NOT before he hooks up with an even newer dude played by Alan Ritchson (Smallville, Blue Mountain State). Um, for a character who just came out as gay, homeboy is getting a helluva lotta play.

Yesterday, on the always kind invitation of MTV, I was able to attend the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. I’ve been very lucky to be able to attend the VMA for the past few years so I am always grateful for the opportunity. Sure, this year’s show didn’t have as much bang as last year’s show but, in all honesty, it’s a blast to be able to attend these shows in person. I worked the red carpet before the show got underway and was able to talk to a few of the VMA attendees … here are some of the photos I snapped yesterday:

I got to talk to the cast of the US version of Skins and shared with them how much I love the original British series … they promise me that the US version will be as gritty as the original and they seemed confident that fans of the original series will love their version. We shall see. I also got to talk with Alan Ritchson about his work on Blue Mountain State and as Aquaman on Smallville. He was such a sweetie, very funny and kind … he promises more fun from the second season of BMS, I cannot wait!! I also got to meet Dina Deena Nicole Cortese, the newest castmember on MTV‘s Jersey Shore. She was very sweet, still humble and promises is more fun to watch than Angelina Jolie Pivarnik (who was cut from the show for season 3). All in all, I had fun on the carpet and at the show itself. MTV is always so good to me … I have to send out lots of love and many thanks to Tamika for taking such great care of me this year. I tend to have really great experiences at the VMAs and I am always thankful to be invited to the party.

Tonight David and I have big plans to stay IN and relax. He is home from Vegas, our travels are finished for a while … it’ll be very nice to just decompress. Hope your Mondays are going well!!

So … last night MTV threw its biggest party of the year, the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards … and despite attempts to hype up the possible drama that might’ve gone down on the show ended up giving us a fairly quiet and painfully drama-free awards show … much to many people’s chagrin. I was able to attend the show last night and from my perspective the show was OK but clearly lacking the excitement from VMA shows from days of yore. Here are a few photos from the red carpet arrivals last night:

Again, for me the carpet was kinda lackluster … kinda quiet. The Jersey Shore kids came out, some of the nominees did as well but really there wasn’t anything to get all excited about the entire time. I will say that Ciara looked the best on the carpet last night. Her dress was amazing … she was a vision just walking down the carpet. There weren’t too many fugly looks … but, as you might expect, the Jersey Shore kids brought way too much tan to the snow white carpet. The CW has released a few new promo images for the upcoming 8th season of Smallville and I found two particular photos of interest. Here are pics of Justin Hartley as Green Arrow (formerly Aquaman) and Alan Ritchson as Aquaman in their superhero costume finery:

See, this is proof positive that poor costume design can really undo a person’s hotness. Green Arrow doesn’t look too terrible but Aquaman, OY, looks just horrrrible! Tho, on the plus side we can plainly see where Aquaman keeps his trident ;) Granted Aquaman (and other Z-list heroes like hiim) is difficult to make cool and/or sexy but … man, couldn’t they have tried harder. Look at Alan‘s face — even he looks disappointed. I mean, why does Aquaman need sneakers? Hahahaha … I hope these guys are being paid well for this gig. Poor things.
