In a recent interview, multi Grammy Award winner Adele gave her fans a mini-heart attack when she made it seem like she was about to take a 5 year break from recording music. Today we learn from Adele herself that her comments were taken out of context. In fact, Adele informs us not only does she have a bizzy schedule in the immediate but she will be returning to the recording studio to work on her next album very, very soon.

Last Saturday we got our first look at Adele‘s new Vogue magazine cover and today we get to see a couple of photos from her Vogue photospread along with some excerpts from her coverstory interview. There was so much news yesterday about the Grammys and the star of the night was without a doubt the British soul singer, Adele. She walked away with most of the trophies including Song of the Year, Best Short Form Music Video, Best Pop Solo performance, Record of the Year and Album of the Year. Phew! Adele really is an astounding talent and her performance was highly anticipated given that she has not performed in 3 months since she had surgery on her vocal chords last year. Last night was also the debut of her showing the world her new beau, Simon Konecki. Did you see him sitting next to her at the Grammys? Last night’s Grammy Awards were understandably colored by the tragic death of our wonderful, Whitney Houston. Trent will continue to update us on this ongoing, and devastating, story. In the midst of all the darkness, as so many people pointed out on the red carpet and at the awards, there is still the need for lightness and color. What better way to celebrate color than by looking at who wore it best. Any award show is as much about celebrating talent as it is about praising fashion’s finest. For the second time in about 6 months, British singer Adele is featured on the cover of Vogue magazine. Back in September we got to check out Adele‘s British Vogue cover which featured a close-up of her face. This time around, US Vogue is showcasing more of her beautiful body on the March 2012 issue of their magazine. Karl Lagerfeld may think that Adele is “a little too fat” but clearly the world’s fashion bible doesn’t agree.

On Tuesday we learned of a pretty heinous comment made by Chanel fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld about British singer Adele. When asked who his favorite female singer is, Lagerfeld responded that Adele is his favorite even tho she is “a little too fat”. Today we are hearing from Adele in response, kinda sorta. Adele spoke with People magazine about body image and she expressed to the magazine that she is quite proud of how she looks because she represents the “majority of women”. In the wake of the backlash caused by Lagerfeld‘s “too fat” comment, he is now trying to backtrack and recant his original comment … kinda sorta. Last June we started hearing about Adele‘s throat problems when she was forced to start canceling her concert dates. As the year continued and she tried to reschedule her dates, her throat problems got worse … to the point where she had to cancel her world tour altogether and undergo surgery. Adele has been quietly recuperating for the past few months but is scheduled to make her return to the performance stage this weekend at the Grammy Awards. Adele sat down with Anderson Cooper to talk about her throat surgery on 60 Minutes (which also airs this weekend, right before the Grammys) and you can preview her interview below.

So … are you ready to be outraged by the idiotic and dangerous comments of a celeb? In an interview with Metro US, 78 year old fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld was asked about his favorite female singers. Among the singers he mentioned as his favorite was Adele … who Lagerfeld says is a “little too fat”. Now, I’m not sure what Adele‘s weight has to do with anything at all but Lagerfeld felt that it was necessary for him to throw in his outrageous commentary on Adele‘s size.
