Despite the fact that US clothier Abercrombie & Fitch thought it would be clever (and marketable) to sell a t-shirt inspired by the MTV reality TV series Jersey Shore, A&F is now no longer interested in associating their brand with the show. In fact, A&F is so serious about not wanting to have any connection AT ALL with anyone from the Jersey Shore that they are offering to PAY castmember Mike The Situation Sorrentino to STOP WEARING their clothing. While once A&F was cool with The Fitchuation, they are now trying to distance themselves as much as possible from the show … to which I must exclaim, LMAOOOOOOOO!

It is that happy time of the week when we pause, once again, to gawk and gander at the Hot Dude of the Week. Today’s Hot Dude was photographed by famed photographer Bruce Weber and is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of the just relaunched Abercrombie & Fitch catalog called A&F Quarterly. Say hello to Hot Dude (once again) Justin Hopwood:

As you may recall, we learned last month that A&F was relauching their famed A&F Catalog on July 17 and Justin here is the catalog covermodel. This photo is featured among the many photos of scantily clad co-eds pepped thruout the publication meant to sell clothes … by featuring models NOT wearing the clothes. In all honesty, I love A&F Quarterly for what it is … a publication of beautiful photos shot by a hugely talented photographer that is very affordable. And if we get to check out a whole slew of Hot Dudes in the process, so be it! I’ve already picked up my copy of A&F Quarterly and I gotta say … it’s deffo worth checking out. Enjoy!

After many years of NOT being in print, US clothier Abercrombie & Fitch has announced today that their famed (or infamous) A&F Quarterly catalog will, once again, be available for purchase in A&F stores beginning on July 17, 2010. As you may know, A&F stopped publication of their Abercrombie catalog due to pressure from parents that the catalog was nothing more than pornography. Altho the catalog has NOT been published here in the US, an international hardbound version of the catalog was published back in 2008 for sale outside of the US. Now, out of the blue, A&F has announced that the catalog is back!

As a long time fan of A&F (I know, so sue me) I am very familiar with the Abercrombie catalog and I am (not really so) proud to say that I own every issue of A&F Quarterly (including the international version which was sold only at the A&F store in London, England in 2008). While it is true that there is some nudity in the publication (and not really many photos of models actually waring A&F clothing), I do love that all of the photographs are shot by one of my fave photographers Bruce Weber. So … I will deffo be getting a copy when the newest issue of A&F Quarterly becomes available next month. Altho it’s only mid-October and we still have Hallowe’en and Thanksgiving to look forward to, US clothier Abercrombie & Fitch have unleashed new photos from their Xmas 2009 promo campaign … and you know what that means … nekkid guys ahead! The word “fierce” seems to be the prevailing theme of these photographs of half-nekkid men. If you, like me, miss the days of yore when Abercrombie would sell their A&F catalog then I’m sure that you, like me, can appreciate that photos that might’ve appeared in the catalog (if it were still in publication) tend to pop up on the official A&F website.
