It’s over between actress Abbie Cornish and boyfriend Ryan Phillippe, her spokesperson confirms to PEOPLE exclusively. “Abbie ended the relationship with Ryan and she moved out of their home,” the rep tells PEOPLE. On Sunday, the actress was spotted removing her belongings from the house she shared with Phillippe while he visited a friend with children Ava and Deacon. The split follows months of tabloid speculation that Phillippe has been unfaithful to Cornish – regularly hitting the nightclubs and being linked to other women. When asked about the cause of the break-up and whether Phillippe cheated on Cornish, her rep replied, “No comment.” Cornish, 27, and Phillippe, 35, met in 2006 on the set of the film, Stop-Loss, and survived intense media scrutiny following Phillippe’s divorce from Reese Witherspoon. Cornish has been in Vancouver for the last seven months shooting the film, Sucker Punch. Reps for Phillippe could not be reached for comment.

Ugh … I can’t say that I’m surprised at all. As much as I love Ryan, Abbie had to know that if you take up with a dude who cheats on his wife to be with you then you run the risk of getting cheated on yourself somewhere down the line. I’m not necessarily of the mind that “once a cheater, always a cheater” but the chances are likely that cheaters can be repeat offenders … Phillippe here proves that fact. My first thought, since Reese is newly single again too, was that perhaps this is a chance for Witherppe to get back together again … but something tells me that prolly won’t happen. Ah well … Rabbie had a pretty good run. Clearly Ryan was lookin’ for greener pastures … mebbe one day, he’ll finally find them.

A rep for Ryan tells HollywoodLife.com, “Ryan ended the relationship recently while she was in Australia. He asked her to remove her belongings from his house, which she did this weekend.” This already is a total game of “he said/she-said!”

Not that it’s any sort of competition or anything but while Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal couldn’t make their relationship work, it would seem that Rabbie have the advantage because not only have they been together longer (er, it is alleged that Ryan was cheating with Abbie while he was still married to Reese) but they have managed to stay happily attached and mostly out of public scrutiny. While I in no way am a fan of cheating (if that is what happened to end Witherppe’s marriage), it would seem that Ryan and Abbie really make a great match for one another. I, for one, am glad to see them still happily attached and going strong. Love is love and it should be celebrated, no?

While it really sucks that the Witherppe kids have to be juggled between their divorced parents, it’s encouraging to see that all parties involved in the young children’s lives take part in their extracurricular activities. I understand that GyllenSpoon are currently in NYC so that means that Rabbie will be here in SoCal taking care of the kiddies for a while (which is only fair since Reese was taking care of the kids while Ryan was in the South of France for the Cannes Film Festival last month). Divorce is never easy for the kids but at least the couple formerly known as Witherppe seem to be making the best of things.

RYAN Phillippe has gone Down Under for Christmas and New Year’s. He landed in Australia on Sunday with his love, Abbie Cornish, whom he met on the set of “Stop-Loss” while he was still married to Reese Witherspoon. They’ll be on Cockatoo Island for a … party today before heading to Lochinvar to meet Cornish’s extended family. It’s the first time Phillippe, who spent Thanksgiving with Cornish and his children, Deacon and Ava, in the US, has been to Australia. His kids will be with Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal in LA and Tennessee.

HMMM … sounds like things are getting pret-ty serious for these two. It’s a big step to meet the extended family … it’s an even bigger step to meet them over the holidays. Rabbie is showing no signs of slowing down … to me, it looks like the couple are on the path to marriagehood. Irregardless of what you think about how the couple got together, I suppose it’s a good thing that they are so committed to one another and they look like they’re gonna be together for a long time. Tho, that’s what I thought about the Witherppe marriage and, well … yeah. In any event, here’s hoping the happy couple enjoys their time down in Australia and that Ryan won’t have to face any awkward questions about how he and Abbie ended up together. Ah, don’tcha just love the holidays?

I really think that these two make a great couple. They obvs care for one another and I’m happy to see that the Ryan has been able to find someone to make him happy. It can’t be easy for Ry to see Reese coupled up with the megahot Jake Gyllenhaal (trust me, it pains me to see it as well) but it looks like Abbie is adequately keeping Ryan’s attentions elsewhere. If I had to guess, I think that Rabbie will make it down the aisle before WitherSpoon will … wouldn’t you agree?

I can’t be entirely certain but I believe this is one of (if not the) first times that Rabbie were spotted out and about with the Witherppe children. We’ve seen many photos of Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal with the kids and now it’s Rabbie’s turn. Up until now, GyllenSpoon has enjoyed the lion’s share of the time with the kids so clearly Rabbie now feel up to the task … and I say, it’s about time! Little Deacon was all dolled up for one of his karate classes and I understand that Abbie took Ava to a flower class (whatever that is). It would appear that things are serious for both Ryan and Reese with their new partners, especially since everyone is now spending time with the children. While I’m still lamenting the dunzoness of Witherppe, I’m happy to see that they each have moved on happily and that the kids seem to be doing OK in the middle.

Arriving in Las Vegas late Wednesday night, Ryan Phillippe and his Stop Loss costar and girlfriend Abbie Cornish hunkered down in a one-bedroom suite at The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino as the couple celebrated Cornish’s turning 26 – with Phillippe seemingly determined to make this her best birthday ever. Starting the day lounging in a private cabana at Tao Beach, the duo dined on sushi and fruit before heading to the Canyon Ranch Spa for even more relaxation. After taking in Cirque Du Soleil’s O at Bellagio, Phillippe and Cornish were spotted walking hand in hand to dinner at an intimate corner table at Tao Las Vegas, where they were seen snuggling and kissing throughout the meal. Two hours later, their waiter delivered a dessert platter with a birthday candle in the ice cream – a moment Cornish had the waiter capture with her camera. And there was more, with Phillippe leading the birthday girl to a VIP skybox at Tao’s nightclub that overlooked the main dance floor. Sipping Grey Goose cocktails, the duo danced – and kissed – the night away, except for the moment when Cornish unbuttoned Phillippe’s shirt and started pouring ice down his chest. “They really are cute together,” a source said.

Oh yeah, it sounds like Ms. Abbie Cornish is having herself a very happy birthday — and I hate her! Okay, not really but it’s easy to see how someone might be jealous of her status as Ryan Phillippe’s love interest (I mean, that ice down his chest thing alone … le sigh). HMMM … it’s not entirely clear if the couple were at the rug store to pick out new home decorations together or to find new prints for Abbie to make other unflattering dresses out of but, in either case, the couple ventured out together and that is the important part. I’m not sure what is going on with her fashion choices but I somehow don’t think that pilgrim chic is ever gonna happen. I hope they find a nice rug/dress pattern tho, they seem really intent on making things work out for them.

I say, good for them! While it is sad that the fairytale romance between Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe came to an end (pause to pour one out for Witherppe), it was only a matter of time before they both moved on. Ryan and Abbie appear to be very happy together (deciding to recently unveil their love publicly at an LA area CVS pharmacy) and, if the tabs are to be believed, Reese and Jake Gyllenhaal are shacking up together. Here’s hoping that Rabbie are able to find happiness and contentment with one another for years to come … unless there can be a reconciliation for Witherppe and then that would get my vote :)
