First Look: Sketches For Lindsay Lohan’s New Line Of Shoes

A couple of weeks ago we learned that the then-rehabbing Lindsay Lohan was planning to expand her 6126 collection to include a line of footwear (not unlike her mother Dina Lohan‘s failed attempt back in 2009 to launch her own line of shoes called Shoe-Han). Today, courtesy of People magazine, we get our first look at the first sketches from Lindsay‘s 6126 line of shoes … and, to be honest, they ain’t pretty.

Her Post-Rehab Plan
Lindsay Lohan Is Planning The Launch Of Her Own Line Of Shoes

We are just DAYS away from Lindsay Lohan‘s release from the Betty Ford Center (brace yourselves) and today we are learning of Lindsay‘s post-rehab plans. The troubled starlet is lookin’ to get right back to work as soon as she is sprung from rehab and the first thing on her agenda will be to launch her very own line of shoes. Yes, her 6126 brand — which is, thus far, made up of leggings and a full clothing line — is now being expanded to include Lindsay Lohan shoes.

More L. Lo for You
More From Lindsay Lohan’s 6126 Fall 2010 Ad Campaign

Back in April we got our first look at some of the images from the Fall/Winter 2010 ad campaign for Lindsay Lohan‘s new 6126 clothing line (which has grown from her 6126 leggings line). Today we get to see a few more images from the campaign which feature fashions that should be hitting the racks in the coming weeks … behold:

These photos feature Lindsay in the days before she got slapped by Judge Marsha Revel with wearing a court-ordered alcohol-monitoring SCRAM bracelet … ah, remember those days? These photos remind us that while Lindsay is drying out in rehab, her first-ever clothing line will be hitting store shelves all across the country. Nothing says Back to School shopping like a clothing line designed by an ex-con, no? After the jump, check out a few more photos from Lindsay‘s 6126 Fall campaign …

Lindsay's leggings line becomes a full blown fashion line
Lindsay Lohan Presents 6126 Fall 2010

Last December we learned that Lindsay Lohan was planning to expand her 6126 leggings line into a full clothing line due for release at some point this year. Today we get our first look at the first promo pics to be released from the new 6126 Fall Collection:

This fall, Lindsay Lohan’s 6126 line expands beyond its signature leggings into a full collection. The 280 pieces, which retail from $60 to $1000, include edgy minidresses and a draped, gold leather vest, as well as fall staples like chunky cardigans and embellished hoodies. The new collection’s inspiration? “The iconic Marilyn Monroe and the timeless, confident glamour she represents,” reads the lookbook’s introduction.

Considering that Lindsay just got fired as the “creative director” at the Emanuel Ungaro fashion house, you’d think Lindsay would’ve learned her limits at helming fashion collections but … well, you’ve got to admire her tenacity. After the jump, check out some of the looks that 6126 will make available this Fall. Lindsay, along with her little sister Aliana Ali Lohan, model some of the looks — check ‘em out …

'6126' to offer more than just leggings
Lindsay Lohan To Launch Her Own Clothing Line

Lindsay Lohan teased on Twitter that her leggings line 6126 would be expanded into a full fashion collection and Women’s Wear Daily confirms the plan. Here are a few sketches that show the look that L. Lo‘s fashion collection will have and some deets about plans for the expansion:

Lindsay Lohan is growing her apparel universe. The starlet is set to expand her leggings label, 6126, to a full-fledged contemporary apparel line for fall 2010, with more lifestyle brand extensions planned for 2011. This will be in addition to her role as artistic adviser at Ungaro, a job that has drawn significant attention and controversy to the French brand. Through her Twitter account, Lohan broke the news on Tuesday, posting: “i need MORE followers i am so sad about this, how can i tell everyone about my 6126 full collection COMING OUT! all clothing.” Earlier, Kristi Kaylor, principal in 6126 LLC in Beverly Hills, and Henri Levy, chief executive officer of Los Angeles’ DNAM Apparel, which will manufacture the line under license, spoke exclusively to WWD about the expansion. “We’ve had amazing success with the leggings line,” said Kaylor. “We have a great business with Neiman Marcus and several hundred great specialty stores. [DNAM Apparel] was the perfect partner to work with 6126 and grow it as a lifestyle brand. We’re launching the full clothing collection next year, and a cosmetics line, handbags, shoes, jewelry in spring 2011.” Levy, whose company has produced clothing for Ed Hardy and Joe’s Jeans, said he was looking for “a feminine brand” for his stable. The fall 2010 apparel line will comprise 100 pieces (spring 2011 will be 150) wholesaling from $18 for basic leggings to $300 for a leather jacket. Average retail price points will fall between $100 and $150. The 6126 leggings currently retail from $68 to $120. “It’ll be a young contemporary price point with contemporary styling,” said Kaylor, citing the still-weak economy. “We’re conscious of it in the sense that we have great price points and quality products. The vision is to offer customers something that they don’t have in the marketplace today, items that go back with leggings: blazers, dresses and tops.” Fabrics will include the same Modal and lace used in the leggings, plus cashmere and leather. The line will retail where the leggings currently sell: Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, Nordstrom and specialty stores nationwide, plus Harrods, Lane Crawford, Kitson Japan and Isetan internationally … Kaylor stressed Lohan has been a hands-on partner, working with designers in her apartment earlier this month and throwing a working lunch for the design team at E. Baldi restaurant in Beverly Hills. “She’s not a celebrity who lends her name to a brand,” said Kaylor. “She’s intimately involved from Day One. She picks fabrics. She looks at trims. She picks buttons. She doesn’t let anything go into production without trying it on.”

Oh my. I uh … yeah. If these sketches are any indication of what’s to come from 6126 then I think Lindsay is in big trouble. These sketches look terrible and none of them look fashion forward at all. If the plan is for 6126 to essentially be the “feminine” version of Ed Hardy then there is no hope for success … at all. I may have given her some good-natured ribbing concerning her leggings line but, to be honest, it seemed like a venture that she could handle and enjoy some success. I honestly think that expanding the brand into a full fashion line will be the ruin of 6126. Blah, it’s just a bad idea. What do y’all think? Would YOU want to wear fashions by Lindsay Lohan?

Also might lose her job at Emanuel Ungaro
Lindsay Lohan Celebrates Her Leggings Line

Lindsay Lohan, actress turned entrepreneur, was hand to host a holiday party for her staff at her leggings line 6126 in Beverly Hills, CA last night and made sure to wear a pair of her leggings … a ratty, ripped up pair, mind you. As Lindsay celebrated, word broke that the head of design house Emanuel Ungaro (the person who hired Lindsay to be the brand’s Fashion Director) quit his job … does this mean that Linds will lose her job at Ungaro?

The president of foundering Paris-based label Emanuel Ungaro — who hired Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan last season in what critics decried as a desperate move to revive the flagging brand — has stepped down, the fashion house said in a statement Wednesday. Lebanese-born businessman Mounir Moufarrige is leaving “in order to devote more time to his other businesses, namely, in the watch and jewelry industry,” the statement said. A press officer for the Ungaro said Moufarrige, who joined the label in 2006, will continue to serve on its strategic committee as an adviser on an “as-needed basis.” Moufarrige has made a specialty out of reviving semi-dormant brands: His achievements include turning the Montblanc pen into a cult object and hiring then-little known designer Stella McCartney at Chloe, which has since become a hot label for the under-40s set. Once favored by Hollywood’s elite, Ungaro had been bleeding money since its founder retired in 2004. However, Moufarrige struggled to turn the label around, and his attempts to appeal to younger consumers appeared to grow ever more desperate as the years ticked by. The house became a revolving door, as Moufarrige hired and fired designer after designer. Critically hailed wunderkind Esteban Cortazar, who joined Ungaro in 2007 at age 23, left just weeks before last October’s spring-summer 2010 collections. Moufarrige replaced him with young Spanish designer Estrella Archs and brought on as artistic adviser “Freaky Friday” star Lohan — who, despite having her own line of leggings, is more noted for her regular appearances in tabloids than her design ability. The result was disastrous. The runway show ended in a scrum, with hundreds of journalists vying for shots of Lohan, who appeared dazed under the lights of the flashbulbs. Critics ravaged the hastily thrown together collection of ultra mini dresses and skintight pants paired with pasties. Wednesday’s brief statement said Ungaro vice president Marie Fournier has been named general manager “to oversee all operations.” It did not provide any further details.

Yeeeeeeeeeah … I’m thinkin’ Lindsay better hold on tight to that leggings line of hers if she wants to remain in the world of “Fashion”. I’m guessing Ungaro will be dropping her from their payroll post haste … that ship is sinking, 86ing the anchor known as L. Lo would be a wise move. Ah well … it was good well, bad while it lasted. Better luck next time, Linds.

Lindsay Lohan Releases The 6126 Spring 2010 Ad Campaign

Last month Lindsay Lohan tweeted a preview pic from the upcoming Spring 2010 ad campaign for her leggings line called 6126. Today we get to see some of the other photos from the ad campaign … including this one:

Man, she is really running with this 80′s look she’s got goin’ on. No lie, she looks like she fell right out of a Whitesnake music video. But wait, there is more to behold. After the jump, check out a few more photos from the 6126 Spring ’10 promo ad campaign …

Hole-ly moly
Lindsay Lohan Previews The 6126 Spring Ad Campaign

Lindsay Lohan‘s leggings line, 6126, has a PR Twitter account to promote the brand and sent out a tweet giving us our first look at the new Spring ad campaign for the line … here is the behind the scenes photo and tweet message that was posted late yesterday:

Lindsay shot the 6126 spring campaign with Markus Klinko & Indrani in NY during fashion week… just tweeted a behind scenes pix

I know it’s horrrrrrrible but I don’t hate the neon lime top … but the leggings are just terrible. I’m not sure who her target audience is but if it’s strippers, I don’t think they’re gonna pay premium prices for leggings with holes in them when they can just cut them up themselves. The whole look of this photo (and presumably the 6126 Spring ad campaign) looks an awful lot like the look that Samantha Jones will be rocking in Sex and the City 2. Ugh. This is a world of no. I mean, would YOU wear any of this?

The leggings just won't die
Lindsay Lohan Launches 6126

Lindsay Lohan was on hand for an in-store launch appearance at the Henri Bendel boutique in NYC last night for the launch of her line of leggings called 6126 (named after the birth date of Marilyn Monroe). Other celebrity luminaries were also on hand for last night’s leggings launch … including Dina Lohan and Ali Lohan … er, that’s it. Here are a few pics from the 6126 launch event last night:

L. Lo got herself a whole new messa hair for the launch event last night. It looks like she decided to wear two weaves just for the occasion. In any event, this leggings line is an endeavor near and dear to Lindsay‘s heart. She arguably single-handedly is responsible for making leggings a very successful fashion trend in Hollywood (much to my chagrin) and never wavered from her intense championing of the look. Now that she is able to design and market her own line of leggings, I’m sure she will remain steadfast in her lurve for the trend. Whether or not ladies will choose to pay top dollar for Lindsay‘s leggings is yet unknown (especially when they can just as easily pick up a pair of almost identical leggings at Target, Marshalls, TJ Max, etc.) but I suppose congrats are in order for Lindsay‘s entrepreneurial spirit. Oh yeah and someone might want to let Linds know that the leggings that she’s wearing seem to have a little hole in them.
