Guys. There is actually a teeny bit of vomit in my throat right now. But I’m gonna go ahead and keep writing for now. With my mouth clamped shut. Okay. Michelle Rodriguez has become another celebrity to fall prey to the random, TMZ street interview. I don’t get it. Why do people open up to the TMZ “reporters”?! Don’t you know they are there for one reason—to get you to say something stupid, for which you’ll have to apologize the next day? Well, I watched the video in which Rodriguez scoffed at “minorities” in Hollywood trying to “stealing all the white superhero roles.” She actually seemed kinda drunk to me, and I was hoping that was the case—that she wasn’t serious. I even laughed, because it sounded SO ignorant. Then came the “apology” video… in which she went on to blame “minorities” for being “lazy.” OMG. I flash backed to my interview with Spike Lee (yasss), where he made it very clear that the only problem blacks in Hollywood are having is money—funding for their projects. Of which there is often none, or very little. Anyway, click inside for this ridiculous, embarrassing shit.

A couple of weeks back Twitter went crazy over an [allegedly] unretouched photo of supermodel Cindy Crawford. Because Crawford hadn’t made a statement about it, I was a little skeptical. At the very least, I got the sense that it wasn’t an image she wanted out there, and I also thought it was odd that people were championing the photo as some kind of proof of something. I mean, we all should know by now that celebrities and all people of means have access to the best in skincare, plastic surgery, and photoshopping. I’m just not about looking at unretouched photos and saying, “Oh, cool, that makes me feel better.” We should all be feeling good about our bodies, and even though I know that’s not already, always the case, I don’t think the solution is releasing unretouched celebrity photos—especially when said celebrity doesn’t know about it. As a feminist, there’s something that bugs me about that. So I’m not surprised to hear that this story about Crawford‘s photo isn’t over—and now there’s a potential lawsuit coming. Yesterday, I finally, finally watched Kanye West’s performance of All Day at the Brit Awards. It made me SO incredibly happy. It very much reminded me of a live rap concert—way too many people on stage, a sea of black, and a lot of hoodies. Me likey. And like a lot of Kanye West fans, it got me excited for a new album from Yeezus. And the new album is definitely coming, because Kanye West shared a few important details on Twitter last night. A video is making the rounds that clearly shows a naked man climbing out of a window of what is claimed to be Buckingham Palace. As you can see above, the video appears to show members of the British royal guard in front of the palace and in the background, a naked man can be seen climbing out a window and down a tied bed sheet of the the palace. To be honest, it’s impossible to believe anything you see like this on the Internet so I doubt it’s authenticity. Even still, it’s a funny video that is worth watching … real or not. Have a look, see what you think. If this is a real video, any guesses whose window this naked man is climbing out of?

Earlier this week we learned that actress Calista Flockhart joined the cast of the new Supergirl TV series coming to CBS as Cat Grant, the boss of Kara Zor-El. Today we learn much more exciting casting news about this new Supergirl series. Helen Slater, the actress who played Supergirl in the 1984 film, and Dean Cain, the actor who played Superman in the ’90s TV series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, have also been added to the Supergirl cast. At this point, we don’t know which roles they’ll play nor do we know if they’ll be series regulars … but having the original Supergirl and one of the most beloved Superman actors in this new Supergirl TV series sounds like an excellent idea to me :) More »
