A couple of weeks ago, we first learned the VERY EXCITING NEWS that Prince will be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live this Hallowe’en weekend and today we learn a bit of news about the performance. Instead of performing the usual two songs that musical guests get on a regular episode of SNL, Prince has decided he will perform one long 8-minute jam instead. OMG. It’s going to be so damn good!! Back in June we got to check out the brilliant Ok Go music video for their song The Writing’s On The Wall and today we learn that they are back with another brilliantly brilliant music video for their new single I Won’t Let You Down. As you may know, Ok Go have made a reputation out of making really impressively inventive music videos and this newest video is proof that they’ve still got it. If you enjoy perfectly synchronized choreography timed perfectly with the opening and closing of umbrellas, filmed in one long shot, then this is the music video for you. The song’s not so bad either ;)
Last week we learned the joyous news that November 5, 2014 will be Britney Day in the city of Las Vegas, NV in honor of our very own dear Britney Spears and today we get to see a personal video from Brit herself inviting us to join her in celebrating her day with her. In all actuality, Britney‘s invite seems more geared toward people named Britney but an invite is an invite so click below to see it. More »
Last month we learned that Ryan Gosling became a first-time father when his babymama Eva Mendes gave birth to their daughter. Earlier this month, we learned that Eva and Ryan decided to name their baby girl Esmerelda Amada. All this time, Ryan has been totally out of the public eye, very likely doting on his newborn daughter … until now. Ryan surfaced earlier today on the Atlanta, GA set of his new film … and as you can see below, the DILF looks extremely hot in his ’70s era attire. Have a look. More »
With one week left to go before I run the New York Marathon next weekend, I had one last race to run here in SoCal ahead of my big race. I made my way down to Huntington Beach, CA for the Surf City 10 Miler race early yesterday morning for one last long run along the Pacific Ocean. The rest of my day was spent recovering on the couch … and it was glorious. Last night, I was invited by a group of friends to attend Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios and even tho I hate hate HATE haunted houses, I bit the bullet for last night’s event and had a super fun, thankfully not-too-scary night with some great friends. Only EVERYBODY is loving Taylor Swift right now. Her new album 1989 was officially released at midnight last night (after it leaked online in full over the weekend) so pretty much everyone on earth is geeking out on new Taylor Swift songs right now. Over the weekend, Kelly Clarkson performed a show where she busted out a gospel song-inspired arrangement of Shake It Off that truly takes the infectious pop song to C-H-U-R-C-H. This is an impresive cover … and it just may save your soul. Enjoy.
Topshop is expected to announce formally today a collaboration with none other than Beyoncé on the creation of a new line of athletic sportswear for the brand that is intended to be more than a mere one-off capsule collection. Topshop and Beyoncé are looking to work together on the launch of a line of clothing (and footwear and accessories) that will exist as a permanent brand offering that will, hopefully, become its own entity. This gallery of 30 hot shirtless hotties (plus a bonus 3, because PITNBr Iris and I just could not whittle it down) is the right thing for us to look at this morning. And I realize, looking at this gallery… for maybe the third time already, that I really do not believe in reverse sexism. As I gather up my energy to be a writer, mom, feminist, FKA twigs stalker, I need this gallery to uhhh… replenish and… focus with uhhh. Yeah. No. There’s no justification for this gallery. But maybe that’s because there doesn’t need to be.
Dibs on number 3.
