Earlier this week the LA Kings took home the Stanley Cup trophy after they won the 2012 NHL Championship and since then, the Stanley Cup trophy has been surfacing all over SoCal in the possession of various people. All members of the LA Kings have been able to pose for photos with the cup as well as some very lucky fans … including LA Galaxy soccer star David Beckham. Becks was in attendance at a celebration for the LA Kings and he happily hoisted and posed for photos with the shiny trophy. Check out a couple of cool photos below. More »

Pink reader Iris gave me the head’s up that Lindsay Lohan was reportedly found in an unresponsive state in a hotel room in Marina Del Rey, CA a short time ago. Apparently, she was found by hotel staff and paramedics were called to the scene. Lindsay has been filming scenes for Liz & Dick at the hotel and has, reportedly, been working non-stop … but we don’t know for sure what caused her to suffer unconsciousness. Click below to read what we know thus far. More »

Some of the best movies ever are about Dads… as in 89% of Martin Scorsese‘s flicks. Here at PITNB we’re celebrating Father’s Day weekend with a look at a few of our favorite Dads (and Dad figures!) from the movies we lurve. They’re not all perfect, but they’re definitely unforgettable. Checkie out after the break.
Last night I surprised David with a Date Night at the Drive-In movies. Yep, here in SoCal we still have authentic, functioning drive-in movie theaters and I managed to keep David in the dark about my plan. I’m not sure if many of you old skool readers will recall but a few years ago, David and I enjoyed a drive-in movie in NYC, NY at a now-defuct theater called Driv-IN. As you may recall, that place was basically a vintage car parked in a garage where movies were projected onto a screen in the heart of Manhattan. Last night’s date was much more authentic and entirely fun. More »
Back in January I introduced to you all a new writer that was brought on board to blog here at Pink is the New Blog and for the last 6 months, Melissa has been a faithful and hard worker … for all of us. Today I am taking a bit of time to formally welcome a newer writer to the site. For the past week or so, Shannon (who playfully and cleverly introduced herself HERE) has been posting to the site and based on the response from the vast majority of people, she has been doing a most excellent job. As a result, I am ecstatic to reveal that Shannon is here to stay and will be writing for PITNB forever and ever and ever (well, if I get my way, that is). More »
Back in November of last year, we learned that Jamie Lynn Spears made her debut as a Country Music artist in her new home of Nashville, TN. Today we get to see video from JL‘s latest live performance where she debuted a song intended as a tribute to her older sister Britney Spears. Jamie Lynn doesn’t actually mention Britney‘s name in her introduction of the song but it seems fairly clear to me from the lyrics of the song that JL wrote this song as a tribute to her sister. The song is titled I Look Up to You and you can watch video of the performance in full below. More »
Last week Frank Ocean released a short preview of his new song, Pyramids. Now that we have the full track, we know that the preview was really the second part of the song. Because it has two parts. Because it’s Frank Ocean and he can do what he wants to do, for the most part. Listening session going down inside!
Dear French Vogue’s Givenchy Galerie
Je t’aime, Je t’aime, Je t’aime! So why must you and Vogue.French torture me with your beautiful images alongside lovely-looking words I cannot understand (or… um je ne comprend pas)? With each new post you remind me of that gloriously difficult time I spent with the French language– eight intense and invigorating months of verb conjugations that I can barely remember.
