Remember last month when we got to check out those horribly funny celebrity make-unders from Planet Hiltron? Well, he posts about one new creation every week on his Facebook page, so we’ve got some catching up to do. There’s not a lot to say, I mean, this guy’s still hilarious! See which one of your fave celebs got the Planet Hiltron treatment inside!
If you’re a fan of Weeds and the one they call Andy Botwin, then this news may be a bit cringe-worthy… but then again, maybe not. My beloved Justin Kirk is wrapping up the last season of Weeds and then he’s making a huge leap from Showtime to NBC’s primetime lineup this fall. He’ll be playing the lead on their new show Animal Practice, and I’m honestly not sure about this! It’s like when Sex And The City moved to TBS or something– Justin is so hilarious and naughty and NSFW (and not safe for NBC, I thought), I can’t imagine him playing a veterinarian on regular ol’ television, lol. However, he is very talented and I’ve seen him in a few movies where he was still hella weird (L!fe Happens, Goats), even if he wasn’t Andy. Anyway, I’ll work through my issues with this while you check out a clip and deets for his new show. Inside!
Last week Beyoncé announced that she will be performing inside the United Nations Headquarters in NYC, NY in honor of upcoming World Humanitarian Day. Yesterday was a very quiet, very do-nothing day … and I mean … I did … nothing. After all the running around I’ve been doing lately, I think I was entitled to a day off. Today, tho, will be a different story. Later this afternoon, Ollie and I will be making our way out to Montebello, CA to attend the 8th annual Freestyle Festival concert that will feature live performances by The Cover Girls, Stacy Q, Trinere, Debbie Deb, Crystal Waters, Dino, Connie, Stevie B, Cynthia, Robin S & Lisa Lisa. That’s right, some of THE most amazing freestyle music artists of the 90′s — all on one stage. More »

In May we learned that Aussie actor Grant Bowler won the role of Richard Burton opposite Lindsay Lohan‘s Elizabeth Taylor in the forthcoming Lifetime made for TV movie Liz & Dick. In June, we got our first look at Bowler as Burton in a promo pic from the film. Today we get to hear from the man himself about what he thinks of Lindsay. We all have our own opinions on the troubled young actress. Some folks love her, some hate her, some love to hate her and vice versa. But what does her co-star think of her? Click below and find out. Oh boy. Y’all know I love this girl. And I’ve been known to twitter-stalk her to fault. But why oh why oh why do we have to do this now?! Oprah, apparently, got Rihanna to ‘open up’ about her relationship with Chris Brown and that simply does not excite me at all! I know some people could just watch this girl cry all day over Breezy but I’d rather not. Peep the clip and click inside for more of me ish-talking this interview that I haven’t seen yet, lol.

Wow. Kelly Clarkson has truly outdone herself with this one … as you may know, Kelly likes to perform cover songs on tour that get sent to her by fans. Some of the songs have a connection with the city she happens to be performing in, some do not. Last night, at her concert stop in Detroit, MI, Kelly busted out a performance of Detroit native Eminem‘s Academy Award-winning song Lose Yourself that, man, you just HAVE to hear for yourselves! I’ve been impressed with Kelly‘s covers before but this one … yeah, she really impressed the HELL out of me with her ability to bust a rhyme. Much love and thanks goes out to my D-town homie David for sending in the video. Enjoy!!
Okay, so I’m watching the new trailer for Liberal Arts, a movie I was kinda sorta interested in when I see a familiar name flash across the screen: “Elizabeth Olsen Is Perfect,” — Michael Dunaway at Paste Magazine. OMG. My editor at Paste (where I contribute the occasional film review) is, totally famous now! Lol. Anyway, aside from my own personal connection to this trailer, it looks like a lot of fun. From what I’m seeing it’s all about the glorious impracticality of a liberal arts education and, of course, falling in lurve. Elizabeth Olsen (who is officially at the point where we don’t have to go into great detail about her older sisters, because she’s clearly awesome on her own merit) plays Zibby, the love interest of Josh Radnor (from How I Met Your Mother). And ever since I saw Elizabeth in Martha Marcy May Marlene I knew I’d watch all future films, without question. She is scary good, and I can’t wait to see her in this movie.
Any other Liz Olsen fans out there?!
Zac Efron and Richard Jenkins also star in Liberal Arts which hits theatres September 14.
