After enjoying a reasonably successful premiere season last year, The Walking Dead returns to AMC this October with a much-anticipated season 2. As you can see from the 4+ minute trailer below, which was unveiled yesterday in celebration of 2011 San Diego Comic-Con, the action picks up right where things left off in season 1. I’m not sure why, exactly, but this new trailer really resonates to with me … it looks great. Check it out in full below and see what you think. More »

In June of 2010, we learned that a new animated series based on the original 80′s cartoon Voltron: Defender of the Universe was going into production. This week, at 2011 San Diego Comic-Con it was announced that a live-action film is also being planned. Great news, Anne Rice fans … today we learn that her classic novel Interview with the Vampire is being made into a graphic novel. The book has already been turned into a film (starring Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise) and a Broadway stage musical (which, sadly, didn’t live very long) so it seems perfectly natural for the story to made the transition to the comic book page. Rice herself is somewhat involved with the project. Click below to hear what she has to say about the Interview graphic novel and check out an illustration of the vampire child Claudia from the book. Torchwood: Miracle Day, the first season of the long-running British series produced and filmed in the US, is doing very well on the Starz network but back in the motherland of the UK, it’s hit a bit of a snag. BBC censors have determined that the same-sex love scene that involves Captain Jack Harkness (played by lead John Barrowman) and a male bartender is too racy for broadcast — so they have cut the scene from the upcoming episode. Barrowman has gone on the record to express his disappointment at the BBC‘s decision to censor the scene. Read what he has to say about the censorship below … and check out a few HOT if kinda NSFW screencaps of the same-sex love scene in question below. More »
Yesterday afternoon, David and I winged our way up to San Francisco, CA to spend the weekend hanging out with his brother Aram. David’s been to SF a few times since my last visit but I haven’t been here for about 2 years now so … I’m excited to be back in the city. The temps in LA have been in the high 80s/low 90s for the past week … but it is much cooler here in SF. As much as I don’t love cold weather, let me tell you, it’s a nice change of pace. More »
