Saints Preserve Us

Yesterday turned out to be a pretty quiet St. Patrick’s Day around these here parts. It rained off and on all day long but I managed to squeeze in a pretty decent 2+ mile run so that I could stay on track with my training. Last night, David and I made our way to Cafe La Boheme in West Hollywood for dinner and then spent the rest of the night here at home. Easy, breezy … that’s how we do sometimes. More »

First Listen: A Clip Of Madonna’s Song ‘Best Friend’ Hits The Internets

Madonna has released today another minute-long clip of a new song from her forthcoming album M.D.N.A. Today we get to preview her song Best Friend. The song has a drum & bass-y beat that I really like … yet, doesn’t seem to mesh well with the lyrics. In this song, Madonna is sining to an ex-lover who she laments was her best friend. Is she singing, once again, to ex-husband Guy Ritchie? Or maybe Jesus Luz, maybe? HMMM. Click below and listen for yourselves. More »

Somebody Walks In LA

Today is a cold, chilly day here in LA (which is a total bummer because the LA Marathon is tomorrow, rain or shine) but yesterday was a very nice, albeit cloudy day. Because yesterday was a non run day for me, I decided to get out and squeeze in a short work out to try and keep my blood flowing and my muscles loose. I ended up taking a very nice 3 mile walk. Last night, I got to hang out with my dear friend Josh for the first time since David and I got back from Europe. We were long overdue for a hang session. Today is St. Patrick’s Day … but I’m not sure, yet, how I’m going to get around to celebrating my non-Irishness ;) More »
