Last night I made my way out to the El Rey Theatre here in LA, CA to see Death Cab for Cutie live in concert. My ex-bf Erik is a huge emo/hipster and it was his influence that got me into Death Cab/Postal Service/etc. We never got to see the band in concert when we were together so last night was my first DCFC show. Watch: A 6-Minute Clip From ‘Super 8′ Hits The Internets

The new JJ Abrams film Super 8 won’t open in theaters until Friday (or, if you’re lucky tomorrow) but today we get to check out an extended 6-minute clip from the film. It looks like this clip is from early on in the film … right before the incident takes place. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Is Up For A Role In ‘G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes’

Plans are coming together for the sequel film to 2009′s G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra as today we learn that Dwayne The Rock Johnson is up for a role in the sequel. According to reports, Johnson will likely play the Roadblock character in the upcoming sequel film titled G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes. While I am THRILLED that a new live-action G.I. Joe film is in the works, I can’t say that I’m the biggest fan of The Rock. Read on for all the known casting deets below. More »

Watch: ‘The Voice’ Judges Perform Queen’s ‘We Are The Champions’

Last night, the judges on NBC‘s singing competition show The Voice, performed a cover of the Queen classic song We Are The Champions to show the contestants how it’s done. Adam Levine was joined by Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton and finally Christina Aguilera for the performance which was, IMHO, fun if not spectacular. There were deffo highlights of the performance and some performers sang better than others but overall, it was a great treat to watch. Prince Gives Thanks For The ’21 Nite Stand In Los Angeles’

Dr. Funkenberry, the go-to blog for all official Prince information, has been updated with a special thank you message from Prince and the New Power Generation to all of the people who came out in support of his legendary 21 Nite Stand in Los Angeles concert residency. Watch: David Tennant Finally Shows Up In A New ‘Fright Night’ Video Trailer

Last month we got to see the first video trailer for the upcoming remake of the horror/comedy 80′s classic film Fright Night, which stars Colin Farrell, David Tennant and Anton Yelchin. The only problem is that that trailer didn’t feature David Tennant at all. Today we get to check out the second trailer released for the film and, thankfully, we’ve got Tennant. Dakota Fanning Graduates!

Dakota Fanning, the young actress who has already starred in about a million movies, has finally achieved a new benchmark in her young life. Last night, Dakota graduated from high school! That’s right, in between her years as a movie star, Dakota has been working hard to get her high school diploma and this week reached the culmination of all of her hard work. Watch: 8 Video Clips From ‘Green Lantern’ For Your Viewing Pleasure

The DC Comics film Green Lantern won’t open in theaters until June 17 but today we get to see 8 video clips which gives us, essentially, 8 minutes of the film. Spread out over the course of the film — from before Hal Jordan becomes Green Lantern up to his climactic final battle scene with Parallax — these clips kinda let you watch the film before the film is even released. Now, I’m not a big fan of watching too much footage from films before they are released but … I kinda slipped and watched all of these clips myself.
