The US Version Of ‘Skins’ Keeps Losing Viewership

As I expected, the MTV-produced US version of the amazing UK series Skins is failing … miserably. Not only have pretty much all of the show’s sponsors demanded to NOT be associated with the show but so, too, has the viewing audience been running away as fast as they can from the show. Ratings for Skins (US) have been falling significantly since the show debuted last month … with the most recent ep failing to attract a million viewers (down from the 3.2 million who watched the premiere ep) … but MTV plans to stick with the show and air all 10 eps — whether we bother to tune in or not. On the day after Xmas last December we learned that 84 year old Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner got himself engaged to be married to 24 year old Playboy playmate Crystal Harris. For some strange reason, The New Yorker magazine decided to tag along with Crystal as she shopped for wedding dresses in a sort of “day in the life” feature in this week’s issue of their magazine (brilliantly titled Something Old, Something New). Michael Lohan Pens An Open Letter To Billy Ray Cyrus

Last week a new GQ magazine interview with Billy Ray Cyrus was released wherein he publicly expressed his belief that Hannah Montana — the Disney TV show that brought his daughter fame and fortune — “destroyed” his family. As a result, his daughter Miley Cyrus has expressed to friends that she is pissed at her father for giving the interview. Now Michael Lohan, the king of the d-bags, is trying to worm his way into the conversation by issuing an open letter to Billy Ray as a show of support … but to me, IMHO, it just sounds like Lohan is merely looking for a little attention for himself. Read on for the full text of Lohan‘s letter to Billy Ray. More »

According to new statements made by Avi Arad, a Marvel Executive producer, The Amazing Spider-Man will tells stories from the previous 3 Spider-Man films that just haven’t been seen … or something like that.
