Soooo Michael Fassbender was all up in the Venice Film Festival kickin’ it with director David Victori and it was awesome (apparently). Well, the awesome part mainly being the pics. Because it’s Fassy. And I just watched Shame a little while back and sooo… yeah. Fassy. Good times. That final sex scene. Cray. I know I’m late but whatever! David is a Spanish filmmaker and won the first ever edition of YouTube’s Your Film Festival (held during the Venice Film Festival) for his short film The Guilt. Bottom line: there’s some serious eye candy up in this photo gallery, depending on what you’re into. So, like… if you’re into hot guys who are also tall and also talented then yeah. Enjoy!

Jay-Z took to the stage to close out the inaugural Made In America Festival and he was joined by Pearl Jam for a performance of his song 99 Problems. Yes, folks, Jay on the mic with Pearl Jam playing the music … LIVE. The video above is a bit shaky but clearly the person filming was having an absolute blast. Click below if you’d like to learn more about how this collaboration came to be and find out what you missed by not attending the Made In American Festival in Philadelphia, PA this weekend. More »
After running the Disneyland Half Marathon the morning after running the Awesome 80s Run! 10K, you’d think I’d be tired … and you’d be right! I slept most of yesterday afternoon because I knew I wanted to rest up so that I could DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY at the Echo in Echo Park, CA. Jose Maldondo hosted the Part Time Punks party last night that featured music from Morrissey and The Smiths … and, well, I simply couldn’t miss it now, could I? More »

So … the race that started it all … came and went so fast! Earlier this year, I decided that I wanted to run a half marathon and I selected the Disneyland Half Marathon to be my race. I started training on March 1 and I couldn’t even run a mile … but I stuck with it … ran my first 5K race in April, my first 10K race in June and then just kept training on longer runs leading up to yesterday’s BIG race. I loved everything about the experience, honestly. All of my hard work lead up to that starting line and … off I went. More »
OMG … OK … I finally have a minute to breathe again!! My weekend was a really bizzy one and, as I’m sure you noticed, I haven’t been able to blog at all due to the fact that I’ve been RUNNING MY BUNS OFF all over Southern California. I ran back to back races on Saturday and Sunday, a 10K and a Half Marathon. Surprisingly, I did pretty well in both races AND I felt awesome both during and after both races. I felt so good yesterday that I went dancing last night … after my 13.1 mile race early in the morning. Crazy, I know. First up, I ran the Awesome 80s Run! 10K at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA and as you can see from the photos below, it was a totally tubular experience. More »

Earlier this summer (when she was on the cover of, like every single Vogue magazine) we got our first look at Marion Cotillard‘s forthcoming picture Rust And Bone. The film also stars Belgian actor Matthias Schoenaerts (shouts-out to PITNBR Juneh!) and that first trailer had me, already, head-over-heels. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and received crazy rave reviews, and the studio has just released a brand new U.K. trailer. On Indiewire someone wrote in the comments, ‘Wow, the trailer gave me shivers…‘ and I was like okay, was it seriously that good? About 35 seconds in the goosebumps came upon me with a vengeance. It’s good.
Rust And Bone hits theatres November 16. The original trailer, with a bit more dialogue is inside.

The ladies over at Fashionista recently shared some really exciting news. This week, Sydney will begin preparation for its first ever Australian Indigenous Fashion Week. The new organization will showcase work from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island designers. I don’t know a lot about the Australian indigenous culture, but I do know that the people have been marginalized and discriminated against for many years. Any event that highlights their contribution to the art world and popular culture sounds like a great idea to me! Deets inside. And peep the gallery pics from Australian Fashion Week featuring designs by Roopa Pemmaraju. Roopa is an Aussie label that features original print designs by renowned Indigenous Australian artists.
A couple of weeks ago we learned that Canadian rocker and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger got himself engaged to be married to Canadian popstar Avril Lavigne, seemingly out of nowhere. At the time that news of this engagement was revealed, there were a lot of cringing looks of chagrin all over the place … even, apparently, from Kroeger himself. In a new interview, Chad admits that he was embarrassed to tell his mother of his engagement to Avril Lavigne … a feeling that I think MANY of us can understand. Yikes! More »
