Eat, Play, Lurve: Nine Sites To Help You Find Your Bliss

Facebook is great and all, but it’s not an entirely blissful experience. Sometimes I wanna see things online that don’t make me feel insecure about… well… anything. We all need a safe, happy place to escape to, which is why god created Pinterest and Tumblr, and those good ol’ fashioned blogspots. They’re fun, simple, and your ex isn’t on there updating his/her relationship status for your viewing [dis]pleasure. So just like Julia Roberts did a couple years back, we are taking you on a journey to find some pure, unadulterated bliss. The only difference is that this journey’s online and James Franco and Javier Bardem probably won’t make it. Next time for those guys. Experience more photos from all nine sites in the gallery (including some from Zooey Deschanel‘s tumblr and a blog that takes you to Paris and back), and get your EAT, PLAY, LURVE on at these virtual escapes:

Alanis Morissette Blogs About Attachment Parenting

In case you hadn’t heard, Alanis Morissette is a huge proponent of so-called Attachment Parenting. In the wake of that controversial Time magazine feature on Attachment Parenting, Alanis went on the record to proclaim that she is a proud attachment parent. She even told ABC News that she will happily breastfeed her son Ever Imre until he was 6 years old if he wants to. Yeah, she’s serious. Today, we get to read excerpts from a guest blog written for The Huffington Post by Alanis on — you guessed it — attachment parenting. Depending on where you stand on the issue, you’ll likely greatly agree or vehemently disagree with her position. But one thing’s for sure, Alanis‘s argument is well stated in the following treatise. Cissy Houston Is Writing A Book About Whitney Houston

It is being reported today that Cissy Houston, mother of Whitney Houston, is penning a memoir about her late daughter … which should really come as no big surprise to anyone. Cissy has remained relatively quiet since the death of Whitney earlier this year (save for one brief interview she gave in March) so it makes sense that she would want to tell her story of Whitney‘s life in her own way, on her own terms. Click below to learn more about Cissy‘s planned memoir. More »

Ice Cream Social

My last night here in Detroit wasn’t all that exciting … despite the fact that we *tried* to make it exciting … well, we talked about it at least. The plan was to see my parents, then go out to dinner, then see a movie. OK, not really exciting but more exciting than what actually happened. Instead, my night went like this — see my parents, grab take-out for dinner … eat ice cream in bed … fall asleep. Yep, that’ was pretty much it. More »
