Back in December of last year we learned officially that the planned reboot of the 1987 film RoboCop was back in production. In March, we learned that actor Joel Kinnaman was selected for the lead role in the film. In July, we got to check out a fun promo video for the new RoboCop. Today, courtesy of Coming Soon, we get to see Kinnaman in the full RoboCop costume on the set of the film. As you can see below, the new RoboCop looks a lot different from the original 1987 RoboCop so … this look is going to take some getting used to. Take a look at the photos below and see what you think of RoboCop 2.0. More »

Jay-Z‘s American Gangster album is, without a doubt, a classic and I would, like, make out with my copy of it every day if that were at all socially acceptable. For that reason, I was wary of a mash-up of any sort, but how can I say no to Lana Del Rey? After hearing her with A$AP Rocky earlier this summer, I fell in love with the sound of her voice on a hip-hop track. The Miami production duo Urban Noize are the geniuses who selected one of my absolute fave American Gangster tracks, Say Hello, laced it with Lana‘s vocals, and voila! Hello, my new favorite mash-up, was born. Between this and that Nas and Amy Winehouse collab, I think I’ve found the soundtrack to my day. Take a listen and tell me if you likey!
Not much to update on the personal front. I hung out with Emma last night here at home … talked, chilled, scarfed down on some pizza. You know, the good life. Tonight, tho, I actually have to leave the comfort and security of our A/Ced home to venture out in public … because I’m seeing Roxette in concert at the Gibson Amphitheater. Now, I have to say, I’m not the biggest Roxette fan in the world … but back in the early 90′s, when Roxette was a pretty big deal, I was a fan. I guess I couldn’t miss the opportunity to see the band live in concert so … I’m going! More »

Last month we learned that MAC Cosmetics teamed up with rapper Azealia Banks to release a lipstick color in her honor. The lipstick, called Yung Rapunxel, is a dark plum color … which is a shade of Azealia‘s favorite color purple. Today we learn that Yung Rapunxel is now available for sale and we get to check out a newly released promo image of Azealia rockin’ her new MAC lipstick color. More »
If you caught Dr. Phil the other day you might have seen Jael Strauss, a young woman from Cycle 8 of America’s Next Top Model. Sadly, Jael was featured on the show as Dr. Phil attempted to orchestrate an intervention of sorts. The former aspiring model, who finished fifth on ANTM is now a struggling meth addict. Some of you may remember that during the competition one of Jael‘s friends back home died from a drug overdose. So it’s especially sad to hear that she’s falling victim to the ills of her own environment. The troubling promo video is above and it’s as disturbing as the Dina Lohan promo for Dr. Phil that we saw yesterday, although Dina‘s was so ridiculous it was funny. Seeing a young woman like this is really just sad. Here’s hoping she gets the help that she needs.

Some time ago I fell in lurve with the website Fashion Gone Rogue and they haven’t disappointed me since. This week they shared a brilliant new photo shoot titled New York State Of Mind and I am sooo into it! Canadian model Charlie Paille was on the scene looking all types of NYC rocker-chic and the photography by Antia Pagant is to die for. Charlie towers above the entire Big Apple in some pics, like a gorgeous, human skyscraper. I loved the angles and cuts in the series and I really think they capture a very specific NYC vibe. Peep the gallery for more and somebody grab a camera and pleeease take pics of me in these exact poses, lol. Need a new Facebook profile pic, stat! No, seriously. Love these pictures! And I’m definitely listening to the old Nas song as I flip through the gallery; it does and doesn’t make sense, but it’s still a good time :)
Charlie is rocking Prada, D&G, Yves Saint Laurent, Thierry Mugler, and more.
The last time we had an Aubrey Plaza-fest was when we watched the trailer to her new movie The To Do List. Now the Parks And Recreation star is appearing in the new film Someday This Pain Will Be Useful To You alongside Lucy Liu, Marcia Gay Harden, Deborah Ann Woll (from True Blood), and newcomer Toby Regbo. I saw the trailer for this a while back and it looks pretty sweet. Toby plays a young boy headed to Brown University… and therapy, lol. I love me some Aubrey Plaza (though I think she has a small role in this one) and Lucy Liu always amazes me, especially when I see her in small, indie stuff, so I’m thinking we can expect good things! Peep the trailer for more and there’s an extended clip featuring Aubrey (who plays a real estate agent), inside!
Supermodel Gisele Bündchen was spotted out and about in New York City, and the bump watch is in full effect! Gisele rocked a simple striped top, dark pants and shades as she met a friend for lunch. I’m sure her little bün[dchen] was happy to get some grub and Gisele looks quite satisfied herself, in the pics where she’s leaving the restaurant. This will be her second child with husband Tom Brady, Benjamin Rein being their first. Peep the gallery for more preggers time and shouts-out to PITNB‘s own gloriously prego readers, kat :) (who may or may not have popped already!) and Colleen!

Earlier this summer we got to hear an amazing new song from Nas and Amy Winehouse. Cherry Wine was absolutely one of my fave songs of the season and I’m so glad Nas is finally releasing a video. The collaboration took place some time ago and Nas spoke about his close friendship with Amy when it was released. I also learned recently that the two share the same birthday, September 14. This explains, perhaps, the timing of Cherry Wine‘s video teaser release. Peep the clip above and the full version of the beautiful song inside. I’m so excited to see the full video whenever it drops, but in the meantime Cherry Wine is back on repeat!
