Lea Michelle, former Broadway player and current star of Glee, is the latest celeb to team up with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals to speak out for animal rights. Lea and her little furry friend Sailor are urging YOU not to wear fur of any kind … check out the clip:

Golden Globe nominee and vegetarian Lea Michele plays sassy songstress Rachel Berry in the hit television show Glee. One may find argyle sweaters, plaid skirts, and knee-highs in her wardrobe, but one thing you won’t see is fur. Lea’s latest extracurricular activity is helping animals by speaking out against the fur industry in her PSA for PETA.

OMG … this is the cutest little pooch! PETA has done a great job of signing up the perfect celebrity spokespeople for their campaigns. Celebs like Kellan Lutz, Dave Navarro and Lea Michele are big enough to inspire a loyal fanbase but aren’t too big to overshadow the message. Jessica Simpson Does ‘Marie Claire’ Magazine

No make-up, No airbrushing, No problem

Earlier today we learned that Jessica Simpson, in support of her new TV series The Price of Beauty, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Marie Claire magazine. But, what is so special about this particular magazine cover is that Jess was photographed without make-up. And, to take things a bit further, the final photos were not airbrushed or re-touched in any way. Here is our first look at Jess‘s untouched and totally natural Marie Claire coverphoto:

Jessica Simpson graces the May cover of Marie Claire (on newsstands April 13) with absolutely no makeup or retouching. This was all done to help promote Jessica’s new initiative, “A Beautiful Me” – a program she is launching to encourage young women to love themselves and feel comfortable in their own skin. The program launches at the close of her VH 1 series in May. Jessica is the magazine’s May guest beauty editor and embraces the new natural look with air-dried hair and no makeup. Jessica opens up to Marie Claire about herself:

“I don’t have anything to prove anymore. What other people think of me is not my business. If I’m in a mood to go out and feel hot and sexy, I want long hair that I can feel on my back. But I also like bed head.”

Mariah Carey & Her Pet Pooches Holiday In Puerto Rico

Mariah Carey has made her way to the US territory of Puerto Rico in order to find some inspiration for her next album. Mimi brought along her pet poochs to holiday with her and shares this fun new photo of all of them surfin’ together:

Mariah Carey shows off her surfing skills as manages to balance on a board while holidaying in Puerto Rico. Joining her in the water were her three dogs, JJ, Cha Chan and Dolomite. But it seemed there just wasn’t enough room for all four of them – with one pooch seen in mid wipe-out. Mariah is taking inspiration in Puerto Rico where she is writing new material for her Christmas album, set for release with Mercury Records later this year.

Ugh! I can’t say that the notion of an Xmas album really appeals to me but Mimi does have one of the most successful modern Xmas singles around these days so I can’t say I blame her for trying to milk the Xmas market for some more gold. It looks like she is having a great time with her cute dogs. I guess Mariah Carey likes a healthy dose of play to go along with her hard work ;)

Jennifer Lopez, who’s new film The Back-up Plan will be hitting theaters shortly, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Redbook magazine. In this latest coverstory interview, J. Lo talks about the 3 most important things in her life right now — marriage, motherhood, and fame — as well as her upcoming new film, her upcoming guest appearance on Glee and her new album Love? which will finally be released this Summer. Here is out first look at Jenny‘s Redbook coverphoto along with some excerpts from her interview:

On marriage and finding “the one”: “I think you can love many different people, but that’s different from what makes a great partner in life, which Marc is for me… He inspires me to be better at everything—a better person, mom, singer, performer, friend, and wife. A marriage is long, and you’ve got to like the person as much as you love or lust after them. You’ve got to be friends first.”

On how motherhood has changed her: “I can’t help but be a different person now that I’ve had kids. That really does change your whole perspective on life for the better. I definitely feel like I’ve grown up. So, I guess in a way parts of me are going to be different, but in general I’m still the same girl from the Bronx who had big dreams.”

On fame and accomplishments: “I always wanted to be great at what I did—that’s what drove me. If I got rejected, I wouldn’t take it personally. I was like, Make them a fan and they’ll bring you back in for something else. I never thought about money or fame, and I never really thought that would happen to me. All that was just a by-product.”

A Spaceship Has Been Sighted On The Set Of ‘Green Lantern’

Earlier this year we learned that the big screen adaptation of the comic book series Green Lantern would begin filming in March (in 3D) and today we get our first proof that the production on the film is well underway. Here is our first photo from the set, snapped by an industrious fan, that features a shiny spaceship that will be very familiar to longtime fans of Green Lantern and his origin story:

The Green Lantern cast and crew are apparently working day and night in Madisonville, LA filming a scene that has yet to be disclosed … This morning, I received an email from a Madisonville resident who had stopped by the movie set and managed to snap this quick photo at the Mandeville Lakefront. What is that being lowered into the water, you ask? Taking the film’s context into consideration, it definitely looks like an otherworldly space craft. Anyone familiar with Green Lantern mythology should know that there is one space ship that is crucial to Hal Jordan’s origin story. That ship belonged to his predecessor Abin Sur; who crash landed on Earth before passing his duties onto the former test pilot. The intricate design of Abin’s ship has varied throughout the years, but it’s sleek, silver look has remained consistent.

Wow! This is so cool! I would love to see this thing in person but I guess the photo will have to suffice. We still have a very long time to wait before this movie hits theaters but all films have to start somewhere … why not at the beginning. I hope we get to see more from the secret set of Green Lantern in the coming weeks and months. Sneak peeks from the set will make the long wait not seem so painful.

David Beckham Returns To LA From His Caribbean Vacay

When last we saw David Beckham, he was hobbling around a Caribbean beach with his adoring wife Victoria Beckham as they holidayed in the tropics last weekend. But Becks, broken and bruised, is back in SoCal and was spotted taking his youngest son, Cruz David, out for dinner at one of the family’s favorite restaurants Fogo de Chão … behold:


I gotta say, for a guy with a bum leg Becks surely does get around. One day he’s in Carson, CA rootin’ for the LA Galaxy from the VIP skybox, then he pops up on a Caribbean beach and then he’s back to the usual routine in West Hollywood … injured leg or no, Becks is doing his best to stay active. At least he seems to be in pretty good spirits. Heal well, Becks!

Christina Aguilera Posts A New Message To Fans

Christina Aguilera, who just released the new single Not Myself Tonight from her soon-to-be-released album Bionic, is having herself a pretty fantastic week. Not only has her new single been well received by her longtime fans but the track has also made a huge impact with music fans over all. Not Myself Tonight is the most added song at both Top 40 and Rhythm radio this week … and so, to celebrate, Xtina has posted a new message to fans on her official website, which you can read in full below:

Dear Fans,

I have been hard at work over the last year or so preparing for this moment. As you know, I have just wrapped production on my first feature film, Burlesque, which will be in theaters this Thanksgiving. And I will finally be releasing my fourth studio album, Bionic, this summer on June 8th. I couldn’t be more excited to finally share this material with you all and I wanted to reach out and let you know what this project is all about for me. Each album I release is a representation of my personal life experiences and how they have shaped me. I strongly believe that life is all about growth, self-discovery and self-expression. Making music allows me to define my experiences and share them with others who might hopefully relate. Over the past four years I have learned a lot about myself and what I am capable of. What all women are capable of. Since the release of my last studio album, Back to Basics, I have become a mother, a wife, and most recently an actress. All of these new experiences have allowed me to face new challenges and explore different sides of myself I did not even know existed. I am a woman who wears many hats and carries many responsibilities. There are so many characteristics that define me, and this album was put together to represent all of those different parts of myself.

Michael Lohan & Kate Major Are Gettin’ Hitched!

Congratulations, I suppose, are in order for Michael Lohan (ex-con and estranged father of Lindsay Lohan) and his latest ladylove Kate Major (former writer for Star magazine and ex-girlfriend to Jon Gosselin) because they are telling X17 that they are ready to get married! I’d be hard-pressed to think of a more unholy union but … everyone deserves to be happy, right? I guess we can be the bigger people and be happy for them, no?

Michael Lohan tells X17online exclusively that he and girlfriend Kate Major … are getting married! The pair have been dating since the end of last year when Major and Gosselin had a falling out and, subsequently, Lohan and Gosselin stopped communicating as well. Since then, Lohan and Major have been living and traveling together, cooking up projects like their upcoming road trip for charity, Crossing Borders. Lohan tells X17online Kate has been with him through lots of tough times: “Kate has been by me through all the stuff with Lindsay and trying to get help for her; she was by my side when I had my heart attack; and she just always supports me. We flew down to Florida so I could ask her father for her hand in marriage and he gave me his blessing. I know I want to be with her for the rest of our lives.” And Kate was equally gushing about her fiance. She tells X17online exclusively: “I’m so happy. Michael has always been there for me and I can’t imagine my life without him.” Congratulations to the happy couple!

Some people are just made for one another … and these two make the perfect match. Now that Daddy Lohan is focusing on his own personal life, mebbe he will stop meddling in other people’s affairs. I think this engagement/marriage/whatever will be good for him … he can mind his own bee’s wax now. My only fear is that the couple might do the unthinkable and … spawn! Yikes! Barring any such travesty, I’m happy for these two … kinda sorta. This is good news … yes?

UPDATE: It turns out that Lindsay Lohan has heard of her father’s plan to marry again, here’s what she had to say:

“I’m gonna vomit! I so didn’t need that info … Yuck!”

LOL! I suppose Michael and Kate shouldn’t expect to see L. Lo at the wedding then. OY!!
