The other day I was all internet exploring and stumbled upon a love little lady named Tinashe. We got to check out a new crazy awesome remix to her song The Last Night On Earth and since then I’ve been on the prowl for more of her music. Lucky us– she just debuted a new video for Boss! Boss is a single off of her In Case We Die mixtape (which, as I type, is downloading into my iTunes/life), and the video is all things intense… and sexy… and teddy bears. This is how you go through a break-up proper, lol. Like a boss. A boss who sometimes gets a little cray and tears into red roses with your teeth. Um, yeah. I love this video! Checkie out!
Note: Some teddy bears were harmed during the making of this video.

As the heatwave continues here in SoCal, I continue to do my best to stay inside the air conditioned bliss of my home … but I did manage to be somewhat productive yesterday AND I even got out of the house. True story. At the start of the Summer, I rewatched the entire 7 season series of Star Trek: Voyager which inspired me to move on to Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. I finally managed to finish that series yesterday. Now that my TV goal had been met, I could move on to my reading goals. After running a few errands around town late yesterday evening (after the sun went down), I stopped for a glass of ice tea and did a bit of reading. More »
No, it’s not the most shocking thing she’s ever done, but it’s always fun when the ladies switch up the hair, isn’t it (shouts-out to Miley and Alicia)? Lady Gaga was in Austria among her beloved little monsters (pup in tow) and was photographed sporting a new, orange ‘do. We’ve also got a few pics of the Born This Way singer (who recently announced a collab with Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar) rocking the look in Bucharest a few days ago. I love the look she’s got going in Austria (the hat and shades classy it up a bit), but I’m love-love-loving the dress she’s got on in Bucharest! In non-hair-related news, there was apparently some ish popped off in Bucharest when a photographer tried to get a pic from the wrong angle… AKA from beneath Gaga‘s dress. Her bodyguards had to step in and get physical, snatching up cameras and all that. Drama!
But what do y’all think of Gaga‘s new locks? Love it or leave it?

US Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte made his way to Sin City this weekend to get his party on with a few of his friends and a horde of his admirers. Lochte and crew made their way to Azure at The Palazzo in Las Vegas, NV to celebrate (again) his recent 28th birthday and basically celebrate life in general. On the red carpet, Ryan sported a pair of black and white American flag board shorts and, natch, one of his gold medals won at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Once poolside at Azure, the board shorts came off to reveal a pink speedo. And to that, I say JEAH! More »

Get ready to gush. Miranda Kerr looks completely amazing in these photographs taken by her husband, actor Orlando Bloom, during their family’s stay in Wellington, New Zealand. Orlando is the kind of guy who– in between shooting for Peter Jackson‘s The Hobbit (The Lord of the Rings prequel)– makes breakfast for his wife and son and takes photos like you wouldn’t believe. It all kind of makes sense, Orlando being cousin to famed photographer and documentary filmmaker Sebastian Copeland. Orlando also took a photography and sculpture course back in the day, and it’s totally paying off. Peep the gallery for more Miranda (and an especially beautiful photo of her with the couple’s son Flynn) and check out the New York Times article (Kerr Goes Kiwi) to learn more about Miranda‘s adventures in New Zealand. I’ve got an excerpt inside!
A few days ago Trent shared a short clip of this video, and today we get the super-official full version of Beyoncé singing live at the United Nations General Assembly Hall. The performance starts off (appropriately) somber, but really picks up as Queen Bey sings about the change she hopes to be in this world, and the change she hopes to see from the rest of us. Today is World Humanitarian Day. Be present in the world you call home and always remember that a random act of kindness can easily change the world.
The last Madge suit we heard about involved an allegedly hidden sample in Vogue, but this is a lawsuit of a different order. Her MDNA tour stopped in St. Petersburg, Russia on August 9, and Madonna had big plans for her performance. She used the stage to address new laws in Russia that ban so-called gay/lesbian ‘propaganda’ or promotion. After speaking out against this law and the homophobic mentality behind it, Madonna is being sued by Russian anti-gay groups for over $10 million. She has, apparently, corrupted their youth. See? Academy Award winners can eff up too. Robert Richardson has received three Oscars for Best Cinematography for his brilliant work as a a director of photography on Hugo, The Aviator, and 1991′s JFK, respectively. Sadly, all that success did not translate to sound judgement last night, when he was allegedly driving drunk around Los Angeles. Deets inside.
Iggy Azalea fans are celebrating the release of the Australian-born artist’s EP release, titled Glory. But Iggy fans also got a special treat the other night when their fave femcee shared a previously recorded song on her twitter, Burgundy Sh-t. Iggy wrote, “a long time ago i made this. then i found it tonight. i still like it.” Iggy hasn’t turned me into a lover yet, but I’m always interested in what she’s got going on and I’m kinda digging this track! And given the subject matter, I’m wonder if she might be talking about her boo/former boo/unconfirmed boo A$AP Rocky. Hmmm… inquiring minds…
What do y’all think of the track? Is Iggy pining over Rocky, or just on her burgundy ish?
