Watch: Joss Whedon Will Star In Jane Espenson’s Web Series ‘Husbands’

For some reason, it’s not surprising to hear that the writer/director/producer who’s currently on top of the world is getting ready to venture off into something new. Joss Whedon is at Comic-Con 2012 having a grand ol’ time and recently announced that he’ll make his acting debut (technically) on Jane Espenson‘s popular web series Husbands. Whedon‘s had a few small parts here and there, but he’s excited to have his first lead role this time around. Espenson was his co-executive producer on Buffy and the two friends have worked together on other projects as well. I take that to mean magic will most likely be made again when they collaborate on this online sitcom about the first openly gay professional baseball player. Deets inside!

Miley Cyrus‘s 18-year old brother Braison Chance had a frightful weekend after one of his arteries opened and left him bleeding heavily. Braison‘s tonsils were recently removed and when his father Billy Ray Cyrus rushed him to the hospital (with, literally, a bucket full of blood), doctors discovered that one of Braison’s arteries had opened in reaction to the operation on his tonsils. Watch: Michelle Williams And Mila Kunis Talk ‘Oz, The Great And Powerful’ With MTV

So the other day we got to see one of the coolest things ever; the trailer for Oz, The Great and Powerful, starring James Franco, Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams, and Rachel Weisz. Some were skeptical, but I am so excited to see how this movie will turn out especially since the storyline functions as a prequel to the original classic, The Wizard Of Oz. MTV caught up with Mila Kunis and Michelle William (Oz witches Glinda and Theodora) at Comic-Con and tried to get Mila to spill the beans on some of the movie’s plot. Checkie out inside!

Back in March we got to see the new Superman logo that will be featured in the forthcoming film Superman: Man of Steel and in June we got a close-up look at Superman‘s new suit. Today we get to check out the newly released teaser poster for Man of Steel that was unveiled at 2012 San Diego Comic-Con yesterday. To promote the film, star Henry Cavill and director Zack Snyder answered questions from the assembled fans and both promised that Man of Steel will be “awesome” because Superman himself is an awesome character. Watch: Melanie Lynskey Gets Her Cougar On In The ‘Hello I Must Be Going’ Trailer

Melanie Lynskey is a huge talent who I’ve always wanted to see blow up. I first saw her when I was, like 13, in Drew Barrymore‘s Cinderella story (Ever After) and I’ve never forgotten her face. Since then she’s done a ton of indie movies including Win Win and the upcoming The Perks Of Being A Wallflower; now she’s a divorcée falling in lurve with a 19-year old (story of my life) in Hello I Must Be Going. Super cute trailer inside.

Azealia Banks Brings Her Mermaid Ball To Hollywood

Last night I had the extreme pleasure of seeing the amazing Azealia Banks LIVE in concert for the first time and let me tell you, the girl was spectacular. Thus far, the only time Azealia has performed in SoCal was at the Coachella Valley Arts and Music Festival last Spring … so last night’s concert at The Fonda Theater in Hollywood, CA was her first proper LA show. Dubbed The Mermaid Ball, Azealia headlined a night of live performances from artists like Kingdom, Gita, Charli XCX, Rye Rye (with special guest Robyn) and more. As the final act, Azealia BROUGHT DOWN THE HOUSE! I managed to snap some photos at the show last night, which you can check out below. More »

Watch: Meek Mill And Drake Release A Video For The Controversial ‘Amen’ Song

Recently, a Philadelphia preacher attempted to organize a boycott against this song, calling it blasphemous and offensive to Christians everywhere.
