Last month Showtime showed us the first 2 minutes of the forthcoming 7th season of Dexter and today they give us a new trailer that builds on the 2 minutes of footage that we saw and gives us a HUGE taste of what else will come in season 7. Because this new trailer is an overview of the entire season, it seems, I suppose you could say that it is very spoilery. I don’t want to say too much and give away anything for those of you who like to remain completely unspoiled by teasers and trailers so … I’ll leave it up to you to decide to watch this new trailer. I will promise you that you may quite possibly GASP out loud if you watch this trailer in full. OMG. I am DYYYYYYING for this new season of Dexter to start! I dare you to watch this trailer and see why I’m gagging with anticipation.

A little while back we got to see the first trailer for Kirsten Dunst‘s next film Bachelorette, which also stars Rebel Wilson (!!!), Isla Fisher and Lizzy Caplan. While the trailer was fun, I heard that the NSFW one (wherever it is) does better justice to the film everyone was raving about at Sundance; here’s hoping we get to check that one out soon! In the meantime, the lovely ladies of Bachelorette (minus Rebel Wilson, wahhh!) have a new feature in Elle magazine. Check out the gallery to see how amazing the girls look (rocking Miu Miu, Derek Lam, DKNY, and more), and you can read an excerpt from the interview with the director, inside. Among other things, she talks about how the female version of a Judd Apatow movie is totally depressing… unless it’s done right.
A new trailer has just been released for How To Survive A Plague, one of the most acclaimed documentaries of this year. David France‘s film introduces you to AIDS activists (some of whom were battling the disease themselves) who fought in the 80s and 90s to change public discourse and public policy concerning the AIDS epidemic. I found the trailer to be quite moving, and I’m really interested in seeing how the whole film pans out. I think we need stories like this to remind us that we don’t need tons of money or even some specialized talent to change the world. The men and women documented in this story saw a problem, addressed it, and kept addressing it until changes were made. Sometimes, it’s that *simple.*
How To Survive A Plague opens September 21.
Christopher Nolan is probably best known for his Dark Knight trilogy and maybe Inception as well, but did you know he made one of the coolest, most intense films in the history of film, ever– Memento?! My brain nearly exploded when I read that David Cronenberg (director of Robert Pattinson‘s next flick Cosmopolis) mentioned that Memento is Nolan‘s best film; for me, Nolan just got that much cooler. But Cronenberg also called The Dark Knight movies ‘boring,’ which kind of makes sense (coming from him)… and then kind of, totally doesn’t! Far be it for me to dispute the guy who made Eastern Promises and A History of Violence (and A Dangerous Method!), but whaaaattt?! Deets inside.
Sooo, this is awk. Sort of. Katrina Darling was just a working/burlesque dancing gal in Newcastle when she found out that she was related to the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. Since folks have discovered her royal connection, she’s getting all types of sweet deals, like the six figure sum she got for covering Playboy’s September issue. It’s, apparently, a good day to be Kate Middleton‘s cousin. Deets inside!
Vogue has just published their 120 List, described as a collection of all ‘The Stylish Singers, Designers, Actors, Models, and More (Under 45) of the Moment.‘ Plenty of familiar names made the list (Adele, Victoria Beckham, Beyoncé, and Azealia Banks, to name a few), but a few stars actually made it to the photo shoot. Check out some pics of Jennifer Lawrence and Kristen Stewart, along with a pretty sweet behind-the-scenes video, inside!
It looks like Eric Bana has gone from being crazy sexy to just plain crazy. He’s playing a seriously bad, bad guy in the new movie Deadfall, and I’m kind of excited. His co-stars include Olivia Wilde, Sissy Spaceck, Charlie Hunnam, and Kris Kristofferson… and, based on the trailer, this cast plans to scare the ish out of us. The story of a brother and sister whose casino robbery goes horribly wrong is complicated (as it usually is) when someone falls in luuurve. Now I don’t really do horror movies, but I love a good dramatic thriller and this one looks good! Plus there’s the Eric Bana factor. And yes. I will watch anything that makes good use of the Eric Bana factor.
Checkie out! Anybody else down to watch Aussie Eric go crazy Southern?
Deadfall hits theatres December 7.
It’s been a while since we heard anything about the fight that went down back in June between Chris Brown‘s camp and Drake‘s people at W.i.P. nightclub in NYC. Following the incident, Chris released a diss record against Drake, and Tony Parker filed suit against the club for $20 million over an alleged ‘scratch retina.’ Now it seems that the two celebs at the center of this story will finally have their day in court. Drake and Chris Brown will be co-defendants in a case made by Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., a company invested in W.i.P. nightclub; they want $16 million for their trouble. Deets inside.
