The 2012 Golden Globe Award Nominations Have Been Announced

Yesterday the nominations for the 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards were announced and, to my surprise, there were a few snubs (namely Rooney Mara and Ryan Gosling) that had me a bit worried about the upcoming awards season but today the 2012 Golden Globe Award nominations were announced and I’m happy to report that ALL of my fave actors, films and/or TV shows managed to get at least some recognition from the Hollywood Foreign Press. On the TV front, American Horror Story and Game of Thrones got love and on the film front, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Shame got some love. Both Rooney Mara and Ryan Gosling got nominations … as did Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for their work scoring Dragon Tattoo. I am happy, y’all. An Evening With Bane

Last night was a pretty bizzy one for me. I spent most of my evening running around town taking care of errands but ended my night in an IMAX theater watching the much-talked about 6 minute prologue to next Summer’s superhero blockbuster sequel film Batman: The Dark Knight Rises. As you may recall, I mentioned a few weeks ago that a 6 minute prologue of new footage from TDKR would be shown in front of IMAX showings of the sequel film Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. Last week it was announced that some lucky fans would be allowed to see the prologue at showings specifically for the footage alone at theaters around the country. Last night, I got to see the prologue on the IMAX screen for myself. More »
