Watch: ‘Django Unchained’ Releases A New TV Spot

Earlier this month we got to see the first trailer for Quentin Tarantino‘s next bad-ass revenge flick, Django Unchained. Then last night during the BET Awards (recap coming soon!) I saw this new TV spot which has me even more excited about the film. The first trailer was good, but also had some critics feeling a bit skeptical. The idea of Quentin Tarantino making a ‘slave’ film is strange– even for him– so he’s got a lot to prove. This TV Spot has much of the original footage in it, but also some new stuff, like more Kerry Washington and a real good look at Samuel L. Jackson‘s character. Oh, and they’ve got Jay-Z‘s classic Blueprint 2 track playing in the background; perfect bad-ass revenge flick music. General awesomeness going down inside.

Listen: A Five-Year Old Hilariously Explains Why She Cut Off Her Sister’s Hair

After seeing the Ted NSFW featurette, I never thought I’d say this but… the recording which you are about to experience may be the funniest thing you have heard in weeks. Sorry Ted. Unless of course you have kids, in which case this may seem like standard fare. A writer for NPR recently interviewed his two daughters– one five and the other three– in an attempt to figure out precisely why the five-year-old had given the three-year-old the kind of haircut that makes a mother break down and cry. The little girls are too adorable for words and insanely precocious. Listen to the sweetest That-Ish-Cray Of The Day inside.

Gay Pride Month may have just ended here in the US but that doesn’t mean there isn’t cause for celebration elsewhere in the world. Watch: ‘Modern Family’ Actress Ariel Winter Does A ‘Dora The Explorer’ Fake Movie Trailer

Maybe I’m having a Mommy moment, but I thought that this was seriously funny. College Humor has just released this ridiculous faux movie trailer with Ariel Winter of Modern Family. She stars as Dora The Explorer in an action-packed, cinematic extravaganza that involves breaking skulls “and language barriers.” Now, I thought it was going to be hella cheesy, but not so. Rather, hella funny. And again, if I’m the only one laughing at this, I’ll blame it on my own special affinity for all things Dora. But no, no. I think it’s legitimately funny. Help me figure this out inside.

Hang 10, Buddies

Yesterday morning I made my way to Griffith Park for week 3 of marathon training with Team 2 End AIDS. Our pace group, the 10 minute mile folks, had to come up with a name so we decided to call ourselves Hang 10 … which is apt considering we are training to run the Honolulu Marathon :) Much of the rest of my day was pretty relaxing and last night, David and I finally got to hang out with dear friends we haven’t seen in ages!
