Watch: Robert Pattinson Visits ‘The Daily Show’, Kinda Talks About His Break-Up With Kristen Stewart

"Boy you are better off. Kick her to the curb, whatever."

Last week we learned that Robert Pattinson would be giving his first post break-up interview to Jon Stewart on The Daily Show and, in case you missed it or just want to watch it again, today we get to watch his interview appearance on the show in full. The interview was meant to focus on Rob‘s new film Cosmopolis but, naturally, the elephant in the room was all about his break-up with ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart (who cheated on him openly with a married man). Jon, who is clearly the best BFF ever, consoled Rob over pints of ice cream and managed to get him to joke a bit about the break-up. It was basically the perfect way to handle this embarrassing situation. Wat the video above or, if you cannot watch right now, click below to read about how the whole thing went down. More »

Bad news soap fans, one of the biggest names on one of the most popular daytime dramas is leaving his show after 25 years. Ronn Moss, one of the original castmembers of The Bold and the Beautiful is reportedly leaving the show in the wake of a contract dispute. As you may know, daytime dramas have been going off the air due to financial problems and at this point, there are only 4 daytime soap operas left on US TV. The US Army Promotes Its First Openly Gay General

In September of 2011, the US military’s Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Policy banning gays from openly serving in the armed forces was officially repealed. Today we learn that the US Army has just promoted its first ever openly gay general. Brigadier General Tammy Smith was presented with her general’s star at her promotion ceremony a few days ago and in one fell swoop made US history. An event like this would’ve been unheard of just a couple of years ago but as our country moves forward — slowly but surely — toward equal rights for all citizens, events like this will become more commonplace … to the point of mundaneness. Click below to see a photo of Brig. Gen. Smith at her US Army promotion ceremony and read more about her amazing achievement. More »

Watch: These Chicago Artists Are Using Hip-Hop And Theatre To Change The Game

Chi-Town Stand Up!

Forget about that Luv Dem Strippers video we just saw the other day– some Hip-Hop can actually change the world. Now y’all know I love me some trap music, but I also love, love, love when people actually use their art for something other than a stack of singles at King Of Diamonds! LuvyaWeezy. My roommate from Sarah Lawrence just put me on to GOOD Maker, a site that’s kind of like Kickstarter, but community members vote on different art projects that are designed to meet a specific challenge. Turning Points is an absolutely brilliant challenge that encourages people to come up with art-based projects that will positively affect their community. My vote is going to these guys in the video; The Stone Soup Theatre Project and Animate Objects are collaborating on an ensemble performance about local heroes who transformed their lives and became community leaders. The $5,000 grant would fund the project and allow them to do crazy, sexy, hip-hop, artsy things for da kids. Ummm I went to art school and it changed my life so yeah, please give them this money, lol! Shouts-out to Animate Objects; you can learn more about them here and check out their GOOD Maker campaign here!
