Yesterday was my last full day here in Detroit and for the most part, I spent 99% of it doing, well, nothing. I worked for a bit and then spent the rest of the day slacking like a mofo. Sarah braved the Black Friday craziness for a bit but I opted to stay home … which was nice because I’ve really not been in the mood to do much lately. Last night, tho, we decided that I should prolly get out of the house so we picked up Agnes and made our way to The Living Room in Berkley, MI for some pizza and martinis … just like the good ol’ days. Look, I’m gonna be honest. This movie does not look all that funny. The Heat (which we first heard about back in May) looks like one of those movies that I will be sooo excited to see… when it comes on TBS and nothing else is really on, which is fine! But, based on this first trailer, I don’t think I’ll be racing to theatres when it comes out next year– although I do lurve Melissa McCarthy and the thought of her teaming up with Sandra Bullock is pretty cool. Anyway, the trailer is worth checking out, especially because of these cameo appearances from Kaitlin Olson (It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia), and Spoken Reasons (the guy from the YouTube hit Why You Asking All Them Questions). Anybody else into The Heat? Okay, that last bit about the spanks was pretty funny, lol…
The Heat hits theatres April 5, 2013.
Recently, a few of us came to the conclusion that Kristen Stewart‘s stylist deserves some serious props… and probably a raise too. Tara Swennen is now, IMO, a celebrity in her own right. As a stylist to the stars, she makes magic happen. She’s partly (if not completely) responsible for Kristen making Vogue‘s Best Dressed of 2012 List, and she’s the reason the name Zuhair Murad has been flowing off my lips as of late. Recently, Tara sat down with The Cut to talk about K-Stew‘s fashion evolution, and to to dish on the actress’s fabulous red carpet looks for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 premieres. During last night’s Fox broadcast, an X Factor preview video was played that showed us what is in store when the show returns next week. We saw something about the remaining contestants who will fight it out again to stay on the show … blah blah blah … but the REAL treat was getting a very short sneak peek at the music video release of Scream & Shout by Britney Spears and will.i.am. In case you missed it or just want to watch the clip again (and again, and again, and again) you can check out the sneak peek below. More »
A while back when Joan Smalls was named the number one model in the fashion industry, Arizona Muse was right up there with her, landing a spot in the top five. I haven’t paid attention to a whole lot of her work, but today I saw a photo shoot that caught my eye and I just had to share. Arizona (who was born in the state for which she’s named, raised in New Mexico, and now lives in London with her son) is rocking the cover of i-D Magazine and her spread is kind of awesome. One of the readers on Fashion Gone Rogue sees a serious Janelle Monaé connection (I do too), but I’m really just loving this sort of androgynous look on Arizona. The model is wearing Celine, Marc Jacobs, Jean Paul Gaultier, and a few other designers as well. The hair, the jackets, the friggen eye make-up— I love it all! Peep the gallery for more!
Recently we celebrated Eddie Redmayne‘s hotness (and talented-ness) and I found myself really wanting to watch My Week With Marilyn again (Eddie played alongside Michelle Williams in the Oscar-nominated film). There have been tons of Marilyn Monroe biopics and when they’re done right, they can be pretty awesome. Trent reported eons ago (back in 2010) that Naomi Watts (who’s currently filming the Princess Diana biopic) would be taking the lead in Blonde, and now the project is finally taking off. Very sad news to pass along today … Larry Hagman, the actor who first made his way into our hearts in the classic 60′s sitcom I Dream of Jeannie and then solidified his place in pop culture history on the iconic 80′s primetime drama Dallas, has passed away due to complications from throat cancer. Hagman had reprised his role as the villainous J.R. Ewing on the reboot version of Dallas (which relaunched on TNT this past Summer) and was able to bring the despicable character back to life. Unfortunately, Hagman‘s real life battle with cancer won out in the end. He was 81 years old. More »

The last time we checked out Taylor Swift she was rocking the ill Zuhair Murad dress at the American Music Awards. In that moment, I realized that Zuhair Murad is everything, but I also realized that I kind of love Taylor Swift‘s dresses, like, all the time. Anyway, she was spotted at the airport in Tokyo, Japan and again I was like why do I want another one of her dresses? This one is a simple, little maroon thing, but she looks so damn cute and really comfortable. I’m also loving the tights she has on with. Peep the gallery for more! And clearly, it’s time for a little trip to Asos-ville. This dress envy thing is getting out of control.

Yesterday we had some not-so-fun celebrity Thanksgiving recapping to do. Halle Berry‘s household was all in a shambles when her ex-boyfriend/babydaddy Gabriel Aubry showed up to drop off their daughter Nahla. Allegedly, Halle‘s fiancé Olivier Martinez approached him as he was leaving, and a horrible holiday beatdown ensued. Both men were taken to the hospital, but only Gabriel was arrested for the fight. Gabriel got out of jail last night and there are now pictures online of his… um… facial situation. It’s not good y’all. And yeah, that main picture we have is def a BEFORE photo.
